Great video Martin can't believe I missed it. Bard and his men were based in Cipping Campden in Gloucestershire between late 1644 and early 1645, where he acted as governor for this small but important market town. They were tasked with fortifying the Manor House to ensure the towns safety and also to watch the Fosse Way and one of the main routes to Evesham and Worcestershire. In 1645, Bard was recalled to the army by Prince Rupert and given orders to burn the Manor House to the ground. The Manor was only about 40 years old at this time, and the ruins can still be seen on the outskirts of the town as you drive in. Once with the army, they then marched to Leicester, and you know the rest. Hope that helps fit in the gaps.

Thanks mate, that's really interesting. Bard is a bit of an flip flop character, on one hand he's an utter psychopath then on the other seems reasonable and well mannered, reminds me of John Tiptoft in the WOTR 😁

Fantastic to see Bicorne Miniatures used, these are my favourite figures for ECW . The have so much character and are an absolute joy to paint. Renegade miniature are also worth mixing in as done by same person so they mix well. These figures do not mix well with other makers which are often smaller.

I really like having that extra base space in front. I did the same with some War of 1812 British. Gives more ground for basing and prevents the bayonets from snapping off/preventing base contact.
