    Great video Miller. Really nicely painted figures and the size comparison is really helpful. Definitely something I want to get into one day and I’ll come back to this video then when I’m working out where to get my figures. 👍

    That small cannon seemed like it was something out of a cartoon at first size wise. lolThanks for doing the size comparison. I've noticed that the Victrix stuff is bigger than the Warlord stuff in their Ancients range. But Warlord sizes are all over the place anyway. Their plastic Napoleonics look like 7 foot super soldiers next to their Bolt Action guys.

      Cheers mate 😁👍 I know what you mean mate it looks tiny 🤣 and victrix imperial romans compared warlords are just laughable.

    I had the same issue painting my Warlord pike and shot regiments painting the belts for my Imperialist army.

      Yer its so much easier to paint metals but the main reason I try to use plastic is its just so much cheaper.

      @@MillersMiniatures Agreed. The Warlord regiment boxes are great value and are overall very nicely sculpted models. Its also fun being able to make different officer/standard bearer/lieutenant models with them

      Cheers Martin. Glad its helpful. Hopefully it'll give you an idea of where to shop next. As dom said before its better to have your pikes all at advanced(upright) and 1st corps only do them like that so they might be the route to take 😁👍

    Nice comparison, I have Perry, Bicorne, and Warlord (those are Plastic) in my ECW army and mixed them all in together in the units. When painted up the differences are less obvious, and in gaming use (arms length or more away) they look absolutely fine.

    • @MillersMiniatures
      @MillersMiniatures  4 года назад

      Cheers mate yer you are 100% right. To be honest door some reason as wargames we always worry about how different companies scale up to each other. But at the end of the day in real life people are all different shapes and sizes so why not do it in the hobby. 😁👍

    • @GP_uniquehandlefail
      @GP_uniquehandlefail 4 года назад

      @@MillersMiniatures That is a great point about the heights of people! I think also because when we paint the models are RIGHT THERE and we forget we are assembling an army which will mostly be 3 foot or more away from our eyes, not individuals 6 inches from our eye-ball which is how we paint them.
      QQ: Do you have any opinion on the nicest ECW dragoons available out there?

    • @MillersMiniatures
      @MillersMiniatures  4 года назад

      @@GP_uniquehandlefail really good question. Personally I've only done the ones from warlord games and I havent even done the dismounted versions of them yet so I can only make assumptions but I think the ones from empress minitures and the ones from perrys look pretty nice. Bit the warlord ones are still also really nice to do. Then again bicorn ones are really nice aswell. It would have to be entirely up to yourself what you go for. Have to out way the price with them aswell as they can be very expensive doing some of the metal cavalry options

    Very nice video.Amazing how different companies have a different idea of scale.Who is right and who is wrong?I to have had problems with detail in 1/72 scale.It is not always easy to see where belts and webbing go.👍🤗🐻

    • @MillersMiniatures
      @MillersMiniatures  4 года назад

      Cheers glad you enjoyed it. Boeing able to pick out the detail on metals is just so much better. I mainly just use plastic though qs you get more for you money. Metals can be so damn expensive especially if your doing a large army for games like black powder or pike and shotte 😁👍

    Hi, I've just compained to Warlord over their command plastic figures that they supply in the "King and Country" set, compaied to the pikemen and musketeers they look like gients. Not at all impressed with that. So am thinking of buying the Perry commands as I feel they would fit scalewise better than the Warlord ones.

    • @MillersMiniatures
      @MillersMiniatures  4 года назад

      Im really sorry to hear that mate. I cant say I've ever really noticed that. I know dlme of the officers are standing up straight where as some of the pikemen and musketeers are leaning in to the pikes/muskets so maybe they're loosing a bit of height there. Hopefully it doesn't put you off doin the period tho mate. 😁👍

      @@MillersMiniatures No mate, not putting me off the period, just being careful what figures I mix together. I still want to make my Cornish Royalist army, but research on flags and composition of regiments is proving a little taxing.
