Deutsches Eck 2023 - 4K

In November 2023 - 4K on Viking's "Cities of Light" river cruise we made it to the "German Corner" turning off the Rhine and onto the Mosel River. Heavy rain meant high waters and most longships were stuck in ports along the way. However, we made our way past Marksburg Castle and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress then we took a hard left around the Deutsches Eck with Kaiser Wilhelm looking on. Our ship captain proceeded to cautiously squeeze under the first few very low bridges on the Mosel. It made for a few interesting moments on the rivers of Europe.
