Absolutely an amazing day and highly recommend both optional excursions. They do have shuttles at the castle if you don’t want to walk the path.

Totally agree! I should have mentioned that. Most of us walked down to the Burg Eltz, however they had a shuttle that would take anyone all the way down if they wanted to ride.

Hello! Ours was the beginning of August as well. From what I understand it is normally warmer during that time so yours should be better. Have a great trip!
