    "Seeing things are rare"? LOL! I must be a rare individual. I not only heard voices, I saw, in writing in front of me, what the voice was saying. I looked in the mirror and the person in the mirror began yelling at me, literally! He was very angry at me! I thought I was God and the devil (not at the same time). I had conversations with imaginary individuals, I had a control panel in front of me for a while. I had a spider running around in my mind. I heard very loud explosions. I was poked in the eye so much that it physically hurt! I could do miracles. I could not only read minds, I could interject suggestions to people related to what they were thinking.
    I recovered from severe schizophrenia without any medication or help from anyone. I ignored the hallucinations and refused to believe in them. I changed all of the habits of thought not believing what I was believing. I had to entirely reprogram my mind and way of thinking. I just retired from a high security airport job after working for 30 years. I not only beat the illness, I beat those who seek to treat the illness. The things that we do affect the way that we feel. If there is a problem with the mind, it could be from the choices that you make that result in the way that you feel. If you want to know how to treat the illness, talk to someone who beat it.

    Prevention? Great. But what we need now more than ever is to heal those that are symptomatic or full blown with this disorder. THAT is where our focus needs to be.

    • @sebastian_thiel

      I think we can do both.

    • @mitch3419
      @mitch3419 3 года назад +4

      Thats what we are doing. d2 dopamine receptors antagonists aka anti psychotics help with some symptoms and is the main treatment for people with the illness, estrogen receptors (which men and wemon both actually have the same amount of estrogen receptors in the cerebral cortex) that have a form of mutation have been linked to symptoms of schizophrenia. This is because of how estrogen its receptors and the cerebral cortex interact, a drug that can regulate this would help with decision making and the ability to decipher reality from non reality which is what frontal lobe has alot to do with. Guess what we have that drug and its called a SERM. Lack of nicotinic receptor activation, the gene that maked this receptor is effected with schizophrenia, this plays a role in thing like hallucinations as well as focus among other things. A drug that can regulate that is in the process of being made. There is no one medication that will get rid of schizophrenia or mental illness just like you can't cure cancer, heart failure, diabetes or other illnesses, you can just address the symptoms and treat them to the best of your ability make the person as comfortable as possible and reduce further damage to the brain, psychotic symptoms and increase an over all higher level of functional living. Maybe one day there will be one but this is what we know so far.

    • @tomwright9904
      @tomwright9904 2 года назад +1

      So... sure. The thing is that prevention may be so much easier and cheaper than development. And prevention may free up resources for treatments.
      Considering that adverse childhood experiences can increase the chances of schizoprhenia a hundred fold prevention seems liek a reasonable approach. To be honest, I find a drug based approach to prevention is rather problematic in the presence of really obvious psychosocial factors, given the side effects of drugs.

    Thank you for sharing!!. I also started hearing the voices, along with the shadows. I started thinking about my life and memories brought me to the conclusion that I have always heard voices but never paid attention to where they was coming from. I am 31 and noticed the voices big time now. The voices ont feel fake, they even tell me it's nanotechnology and the people. For me it even feels that the whole world is in on this conspiracy that I like to believe schitsofrenia is made up. The voices tell me I'm targeted because I'm perverted and what not. My thoughts are read before I even noticed them. I search nanotechnology and it's a technology that can manipulate your mind and manipulate your feelings. Something positive I can leave you with is, find a way to love music, wear headphones! A good pair. Watch good movies that fill your heart up with happiness and tranquility. . Prepare yourself for one day your love of your life is no longer in your life. Save money for the rainy days. Love you !!

I wonder if because you would need the coline at a very early stage in development of the fetus for it to benefit that most women don't know that they are even pregnant at that time or they have such a time with morning sickness that they can't stand to eat could be why this happens in the first place? Maybe women should be taking this as an everyday vitamin?

      @@aaymathebest4705 olanzapine does not affect nicotinic receptors in that way, this video was also published in 2018 meaning this interview probably happened after 1996 which is when the FDA aproved olanzapine as well he said that the only a typical antipsyhcotic that has any affect on the receptor is clozapine. olanzapine does interact with nicotine but not the nicotinic receptor which is what would help cognitive function. he also stated the drug he has mentioned is supposed to be used in addition of atypical antispychotics. clozapine does effect it though and is the end all be all drug for schizophrenia.. the reason why it is the last resort even though studdies have proven it is the most effective drug is the serious mental and physical side affects it can have including but not limiting white blood cell count ( why you get blood work doen 0nce a week for the first month, bi weekly for six months and monthly the rest of your time on the drug),extreame tachycardia as in a healthy young 24 year olf male having a consistent resting HR of 188 BPM within weeks of starting, syncope, and full on heart failure to name a few which would result in the patient being taken off the medication and likely resulting in relapse (regression of mental state) causing the patient to go back into a psychotic state. if we could use a drug lie quetiapine as well as a nicitinic receptor modulator we could reduce the side effects whikle still gaining good results, dont forget about akathisia too though.

      Im schizophrenic. to lose it and be free from it well this is the alternative approach. drink at least 500mg of niacine and tryptophan 5htp everyday trust me you will feel a tremendous change but it should go with fasting. Niacin and tryptophan are not meds but supplements so it doesnt have any side effects. You will experience red flush tho when drinking niacin like a sunburn or an allergy for like an hour but it's not dangerous and will disappear eventually. avoid meats, junkfood, and sugar and lose that weight, and don't go on yoyo dieting wherein you get thin, you get fat, you get thin again then you get fat again. it will worsen it. it will just benefit them cause you are giving out bad life force/energy/aura. stick into being thin.
      just eat Vegetables and fruits. your body is a temple. You are what you eat. You gotta keep your mind powerful and your body free from temporary gratifications and pleasure. it may not sound related but trust me it is. you will feel the difference. avoid vices like smoking, drugs and alcohol it will worsen it as well. you need a good aura and positive thinking to remove schizophrenia. clean your home. seeing that it's a mess plus thinking your life is a mess will worsen schizophrenia.
      just eat veggies and lose weight you'll feel the difference. you are what you eat. avoid meat and sugar like sodas, and junk food. your body is a temple and eventually in this holistic technique the voices will be limited or completely gone. do meditation and grounding/earthing everyday. this takes discipline and effort, it will not be gone overnight, you need to this for months or years to see results. download GAIA app then type schizophrenia, watch the videos there it helped me a lot. it has a 7 day trial period. what i did was i watched a bunch of videos in there then cancelled my subscription before it reached the 7th day. lol
      A temporary remedy is hum a repetitive short irritating lyrics in your mind, a chorus of a popular song. it will block 70% of the voice that you hear. it will be hard the first two days but you'll get used to it on the 3rd onwards and will become a habit to block the voice, this voices this motherfuckers will hate it.
      again niacin and tryptophan are very important, fasting or drinking only water and eating only vegetables is important and losing weight and maintaining it is important. this is an alternative approach than taking those mood relaxers and medications that will do nothing but to sedate the patients. thank you.

      A temporary remedy is hum a repetitive short irritating lyrics in your mind, a chorus of a popular song. it will block 70% of the voice that you hear. it will be hard the first two days but you'll get used to it on the 3rd onwards and will become a habit to block the voice, this voices this motherfuckers will hate it.
      again niacin and tryptophan are very important, fasting or drinking only water and eating only vegetables is important and losing weight and maintaining it is important. this is an alternative approach than taking those mood relaxers and medications that will do nothing but to sedate the patients. thank you.

      Hi Aaron. Hope you're doing well. I'm sorry to hear about your struggles with Schizophrenia. It's an illness that eats away at the core of our being, and robs us of our very identities. There's a darkness that overcomes the mind, and the terrors of this darkness overwhelms the soul, and keeps one beaten down into submission at the mercy of the illness. All we then cry is for the pain to stop, for the terrors to cease. If you want to win this battle-- and you can win-- then stop being afraid. No longer let your heart be overwhelmed, but fight with the weapons you already have inside of you. Don't allow yourself to be blinded to what you are capable, to the fact that you are not the terrified mouse scurrying about in his own house for fear of the heavy and large steps of the intruder. It's your mind, and you are the giant whom the mice should fear..
      Don't be afraid. Be strong, and fight with knowledge. Know that the voices aren't real. Know that the delusions and fears casted over your mind is only as potent as your faith in its power. Trust they are nothing but illusions, a mist sent to a cast darkness over your senses so that your very own mind that you trust in, becomes the thing which destroys you from within.
      If you want to be free but cannot hope for a cure when you need it-- yesterday-- then trust in that which is within you. Cast out fear by knowing. Know that these desire your destruction should you choose to submit before their desire for you. Therefore, if its fear that is cast over your mind, then cast it out by grabbing a hold of courage. If it's voices that's given you, then shut your mind and ears to them, and be thankful for the peace and quiet that you desire. If it's visions that you're being given, then turn you eyes away from them. If it's anxiety, then embrace calmness, and so forth. This is all within your capacity, just as it's your capacity that produces the illness and its effects. Walk in the direction that you desire to go.
      What I'm saying is, don't wait for someone to throw you a life raft, but fight against the tide and swim yourself to shore. This is the cure for Schizophrenia. TAKE your life back, and don't wait for it to be handed back to you. It's yours, so fight for it. Every day, from morning, noon and night, walk with intent and purpose. If you fall or get lost, remember your destination and that will center you, and pick you up. Keep walking forward. Keep looking forward. Keep living in the moment. Keep breathing. Keep being grateful no matter what comes. You will reach your destination, and you will find yourself again.
      Good luck.

      Look up the Walsh Method. You can find it explained in a video called The Five Biotypes of Depression. Also Amyloban 3399 helps, you can find discussions about it on the schizophrenia forums.

      @@themorningmist99 - Your advice is to do it 'all alone' 'the power within' etc etc. What about those who are too weak do manage by themselves?? They need help they can get nowhere. Some kind words is not enough.
      There are a lot of people out there who were helped by asking God for help, who went on their knees and repented and asked Jesus Christ to come into their lives and to protect them from evil forces from the spiritual world who frequently interfere. It's not so popular these days and people rather sell their chemicals to numb people.
      The truth is though going to church and joining and socialising (also important) in a small church community and praying has turned more lives around than clinical psychology wants to acknowledge.

      @@ReformedWhiteKnight :) hey, I appreciate your comment. Thank you for taking the time.
      I didn't say that anyone should go at it alone, but the fact remains that the inward struggle can only be fought by the one who's diagnosed, and no one else can enter into that struggle. So though having the support of others is true, and great, it is also truth that the battle is yours and yours alone. This is the case for each individual, Schizophrenia or not. We all have our struggles.
      I understand those who practice religion may have a higher recovery rate than those who do not. But the reason for this is specifically what I'm offering here with my words, as was the case with my own experience with Schizophrenia. The reason is no doubt, the power and law of faith. I don't practice religion, but the same law of faith has helped me nonetheless, and I'm 100% certain it can help others as well.
      Not everyone believes in God, and how can I be expected to persuade someone to walk where I myself do not walk? So church and your religion is good! And it helps those who are of the same mind towards a similar faith as you have. I wouldn't deny anyone from should they seek it.
      I have a video on my channel titled: "Schizophrenia, and the power of support." In this video I speak about the need to have the support of others. I didn't specifically mention church, but it's definitely something worth mentioning another time. I've also made another video titled: "Schizophrenia, and the power of isolation," which I'll be posting soon. In this video I talk about the dangers of isolating oneself, and the need for us to be amongst other people who want to be there for us.
      Again, thank you for offering your knowledge to the conversation. I appreciate it, and I hope others who read it will appreciate your insight as well.

      These 'scientists' of which so many come from certain backgrounds don't want people to even consider being spiritual and believing in God for healing and protection from malvolent spirits. They rather like you to buy their chemicals instead for a lot of scheckels ;-)

    an apology brutally honest like "we f***'ed up" and "now we are trying to fix the mess we made" .... focused a bit more after so many lives have been affected.... woah I mean Jesus I pray you receive the ability to be humane! But I appreciate the truth , fact plus guilt admission statement 👏 the level of BuLL$H!T coming out this Dr's mouth, yo Doc, Get your game up! No one needs a mf 10 year delay , that's a decade FYI, how you really going to help people with "all your progress" , Neurologists ... I haven't met one , been treated by one, or listened to one who didn't HELP at all. Just after money and MRIs that don't get discussed, chauvinistic mentality hoarding scans storing them "in the cloud" ... and then there's the scripts that get chucked into your face, meds that are both expensive and extremely damaging... But oh tada, MRIs on request like I'm a private research study, sucked the money out, owes money, spams you dead or alive... death certificate is needed for these Neurologists to be F***ING BE SATISFIED. You're NOT DOING ENOUGH! Nope the life cycles are not exactly the sake as yours, your life cycle is probably more than mine and many others, YOU SHOULD HAVE ALEEADY MADE A DIFFERENCE. You're not gonna get a chance to sneak out of this dilemma. BE RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE. Where can I find a more recent, IMPROVED, interview or conversation with this dude?!

    thumbs down. Where to even begin. The language is wrong, vocabulary is not extensive or precise enough to even begin to understand mental disease. Then you all need to work on yourselves. You can not ever hope of understanding if you are not ready to understand. Your mental processes, the way you go about thinking is flawed to say the least. Only then can the real discussion on the disease begin. And that conversation is for adults only, not children playing word games.
