My fav Wu song "I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies and hypotheses Can't define how I be droppin these mockeries" still hits to this day!!! New sub, I love the vibe from y'all
This is why Wu-Tang Clan is for the children. I think that was the first time I ever saw moving footage of the Ku Klux Klan during GZA's verse. This group has real hard bars but it was also them spreading knowledge and educating outsiders. Plus the fact that the legendary Quincy Jones makes a cameo in this video says so much.
Mind blower right here. I can't believe that we live in a world where this Quality ,monster ,instant classic ,gold is considered to be old school music. This right here ,I been on this like it came out today. Black Itachi Uchiha 41yrs old. God you all my brothers and sisters in Jesus mighty name Amen.
This is a hit, but everything they made before this album is more too my taste. 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords and Tical are among my favorite records in all music genres.
I was gonna start quoting bars but too many to mention! Of course first is probably the best 16 ever. Guaranteed sickening made em jump like Rod Strickland!!!
@@primeminister66 Only famous retweet I ever got. "You know when Deck bats lead-off, it's going to be a banger" Deck retweeted it out. I retired from social media at that point.
Oh wait, I didn't know you guys had another channel!!! Ok, I'm on board for this! If you're doing rap, can you go down the Ren rabbit hole? Do you know Ren yet? UK artist, multi-instrumentalist, singer...rock, rap, blues, reggae. Had a band The Big Push, solo had a #1 album in the UK last year. You have to do the videos, he's does things like short movie/play performances. 'Hi Ren' is the video everyone starts on, which you should start with, but he has a ton of different styles. For his live stuff, watch his band The Big Push's street performance of 'I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop' (not just the I Shot the Sheriff only video). You will absolutely love him. He's got a #1 Itunes new release now called 'Troubles'. He was sick for a long time with undiagnosed Lyme Disease but they didn't know it, so doctors told him he was crazy, gave him meds he didn't need which messed with his head. He was bedbound for some years and sick for like 8 yrs. He finally got properly diagnosed and is doing well but will always have autoimmune health problems. I'm saying all this because it informs a lot of his music so it's good for background. He's an independent artist, no record label, produces all his own stuff, including a lot of samples & beatboxing, co-directs his videos (which have won awards) etc. You will get all the many Renegades here subbing your channel if you go down that rabbit hole. Ok, rant over, cheers!!
@@AirplayReactions Yes!! I only found him around 6 months ago & I was bummed I'd missed it when he dropped Hi Ren, but by now I've done the whole rabbit hole & it's worth it. His followers, the Renegades, are super supportive of reactors & knowing you 2 guys, you'll have great insights & thoughts about him.
Still hits better than anything today
Peak of the rap/hip hop curve. Then there was Eminem on the other side of that peak. Down hill from then on.
They forged something spectacular
The fact that they made such a successful rap song with no hook, ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!
It's why Quincy Jones was in the music video. He knew

Anesthesias to ballerinas is crazy talk if you make it hard.
He did.
Wu forever.
Way before Hip-Hop morphed to Hit-Pop. Verbal ruckus. Still bump this when I do the fitness.
My guys in their element. Calling out bars and players like us oldsters do with tunes from the 70s. My fav is the iconic Rod Strickland callout.
I got his autograph when I was a kid when he played for the Bullets
Deck with the greatest opening verse of all time.
‘I bomb atomically. Socrate’s philosophies and hypotheses…..BARS!!!!
