  • I am so excited to share this experience of getting our first ever bunnies and setting up their outdoor run/hutch! I can make future videos on why we decided to keep them outdoors, but for now enjoy this compilation of the steps we took to prepare for our bunnies. We have since given the white bunny back & gotten another female so they can live together comfortably. We named the black one Provolone and the new bunny (which wasn't shown in this video yet) Corleone. God bless!

Those Babies are absolutely beautiful. The chances of them fighting though are not likely, due to the fact they will be growing up together and they came from the same litter. Now in the future if you were to add more bunnies I would definitely slowly introduce them and do a complete clean out of the cage so none of them get territorial. But the cage is very nice they can grow into it and still have lots of room to roam.

I recommend getting a flooring for the bottom, just because bunny’s don’t have padding on their feet and the wire bottom can really give them bad sores.

Same gender often fights. Nice cage tho! Maybe find something for the bottom. My fet told me that those undergrounds are bad for the bunny’s feed and also change that there feed will be stuck in it ❤

Yes, my aunt informed me that females especially can be aggressive so I’ll need to monitor them!❤ We also plan to get the bottom covered with more hay and tiles. However, we did specifically choose wire that is larger so they don’t have the issues that smaller wire typically creates ❤

As a retired rabbit breeder. Any rabbit can fight with another. But bucks (males) normally get along. I would just monitor them. I would never put two doe’s together though. If you want the female, I wouldn’t get another female… Hopefully this helps.

I now have two sisters. They grew up in the same litter and rabbit run so they’re very familiar with one another. I will keep monitoring them as they grew up❤️

Please house them inside! You can take them outside (with supervision) every once in a while and for a few hours but please don’t house them outside. They would be much happier inside.

80% of female rabbits who are not spayed end up getting cancer.

I will add, I like your outdoor setup. My rabbit is indoors but this looks like a nice home for them.

I recommend you to watch some Lennon the bunny bc rabbits arent supposed to be on cages! nobody can stress this enough and them staying outside are more in danger from other species and of course temperature.. Educate yourself before getting a bunny or bunnies!

Hi there! I have watched a lot from her channel, but disagree with her point on keeping bunnies inside. They are perfectly healthy and happy outdoors and I don’t agree with keeping them indoors. As far as the temperature, we do not live in an extreme climate area and we will be providing heat and fans if needed. And with the size of their enclosure, it is much bigger than most people can provide indoors. The outdoors is their natural habitat where they can enjoy grass, dirt, sunshine, and fresh air whenever they want. Thank you for your concern!❤️

@@sabrinaklass the floor they walk on can be harmful because they don't have any protection on their paws.. The "cage " is so open on rainy days they will be soaked specially the floor will be muddy. Why a cage? If you are able to provide for them like that why not free roaming if you have a big backyard why not let them run around?
I rescued a rabbit from a breeder and he was outside now he lives indoor with me and he is the happiest ever and feels very safe with me
There are studies that show that she is right rabbits should be indoors for numerous reasons. Outside they will probably die faster....

@@rutedinis2126 The cage is what keeps them safe, that’s why they live in it. There is no way any predators can get in and I will most definitely let them explore more outside but I refuse to let them free range outside without fencing covering them from over and under. As far as the wiring on the bottom, it has been most commonly the case for rabbits to develop issues with their paws only on much smaller, grid-like fencing. The wiring we chose is very large and it won’t catch their toes or put pressure on their paws like other types of wire. Also, their paws have padding and fur to protect them. They have plenty of shelter when it rains, and we can always add a tarp if more is needed. As you saw, we are wanting to provide them with a safe, enriching home and plan to improvise where issues arise. I can assure you they are well cared for❤️

@@sabrinaklass I will never agree with cages. You might believe that but rabbits don't belong in them they never lived on them before humans came around and started breeding them or use them as experiments. Rabbits don't belong in cages. In the wild they do whatever they won't they are not limited in a cage. I am not saying you don't care for them bc it looks like you do but that's just cruelty they be happy now bc maybe they were in worse conditions but then try to fixe quickly so they have a fenced space where they can run around how much they would like. I don't know the reasons why you are against bunnies indoors, it's like the same with a dog, would you keep it outside in a cage? I don't think so.
