Which accent do you like more? British or American? 😀
    Download my English workbook: www.english.online/
    Time codes:
0:00 My experience using both American and British accents
1:40 When you should not pronounce "r"
    2:47 Tricky "th" sound
3:50 "Ew" instead of "u" and "you"
    5:19 Always emphasize vowels
6:34 Some words are pronounced differently
6:56 Practice this in order to sound more British
    7:27 Use British slang

I forget what the term for this is, but it's very common - I noticed that when you (the video creator) said the word "vowel", you pronounce the V differently (Russian accent), but a bit later, when you are talking about the "th" sound, you have no problem pronouncing "V". I'm not criticizing you, I'm just pointing it out because it is very common, and interesting how this happens. I think it happens with many other sounds too, where a person can pronounce a sound in a certain word, but not others, depending on the context. Thank You, great video! Your English is excellent, as well as all of your accents.

I am from Liverpool, so have a scouse accent. I have been to America 3 times and hardly any American I spoke to thought I was English. I got asked if I was Scottish, Irish, Australian and even German 😂. Some were really shocked when I said I was English, because I didn't speak like a member of the Royal Family. A recent study showed that only 2% of people in Britain speak with received pronunciation, but a lot of American's seem to think we all speak like that! Probably because that's how Hollywood and American TV always portray us English.

Only thing she doesn’t seem to understand is that although a lot of these alternatives are grammatically correct, they just aren’t generally used in English or they sound wrong even though they aren’t.

Thank you so much for this video really you helped me too much and right now I know that the difference between the English accents and the American accents is that in the British accents like we pronounced th as d also in the British accent don't pronounce R moreover in the British accents we Stressed the vowels as car .
But I'm learning that in American accent we don't pronounced t like water 💦 don't like stressed too much in the vowels.
From my humble point of view I think that the American accents is easierl than the British accents and like to speak in American accent even sometimes I did the mix between the American accents and the British accents but it's fine thank you so much for the amazing video and the God bless you again 💜♥️

I'm British. There are no mistakes in your English except we would use present perfect: "if I've written something wrong..." Due to constant exposure to each other's English, a Briton and an American would usually have no problem understanding each other unless the Briton is talking in a strong regional accent.
