You both are my favorite teachers. I've always enjoyed your lessons and learnt a lot of stuff in English. Both of you have good teaching style. You teach us exactly what we need to learn.
I've lived in the USA for almost 4 years and acquired American accent, then I returned to Russia and continued study English, but the British English. Now my accent is mixed and it's only just recently did I realise that I like British English pronunciation much more than American. After meeting Lucy here on YT and hearing her beautiful accent I felt in love with British English.
Sorry, your opinion.... the most common American accent, which is used used in American movies, sounds the best to me. British people sound like they are mumbling and have a mouth full of marbles... and the lower class accents in England are harsh sounding and really grating!!
'Schedule' is a good word that British, and Americans say differently. British use an 'SH' sound that originated from French influence while Americans use the 'SK' sound that is in keeping with the word's original language, Greek.
Lucy, I think that was a bad decision to make a course with Marina. I know it is for you to decide what to do but she has been criticized for her mistakes and this video is no exception
Omg. what a suprise, finally my favourite english teachers are together amazing... Guys this is an uexpected video but it's really nice and very interesting to see you two in a one video. I've been watching both of your channels for over a year now and we are so lucky today to attend a lesson you teach together. Marina, lucy thanks a lot to both of you for creating such a nice content for us.
Dear Lucy, Your videos are totally great, except this one, no offense. Marina has lots of mistakes which are unforgivable due to the fact that she’s teaching others 😮 „You are learning me“?!?! Wtf
A very nice Collaboration Marina Mam... This will help us in learning the pronunciation in a more better way also it will boast up our English and way of answering... Actually Way of saying any word is more precious in conversation Thank You Mam
Hello Miss Lucy and Miss Marina..! You both are my favourite teacher , i was always wondering when will you both collaborate with each other and now this is a day where you both talent ladies in one Frame.. I've learned many things from you both and made my pronunciation and English better.. Soo happy to see you together.. Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
That's brilliant to see two of my fave English language teachers on RUclips here in one video! I personally prefer and speak with an American accent but I do love the British accent of Lucy and learning British Eng with her. Also, I keep on learning more about American English and the American lifestyle, culture and stuff with Marina through her videos. You both have amazing contents and teaching techniques. Sending you both lots of love!!
Ladies, I've been watching you both for a long time and must say : you help me greatly at my classes with teenagers and adults!! very useful contents. Thank you so much; you are stunning!
I am a native English speaker learing Russian and love your videos its fascinating to see how in English how there is so much variation in pronunciation! Makes it seem daunting to become conversational in russian
What an amazing lesson🤩. Two of my favorite teachers in one place. I'm over the moon. Since I started learning English, I've been inclining more toward the American accent, even though we generally use British English in my country, because I want to go to the U.S. At some point, I began to think I'd been pronouncing some words the wrong way. Now I realize that I was just pronouncing them the British way😄. Thank you so much for this enlightenment. Looking forward to more of these wonderful lessons.
I'm sure that this an awesome way for who want to enhance the knowledge about the difference between American and British English. This is also kind of aid that is specialized for people who always mix both, as well. I'm soooo overjoyed by watching this . Thank u so much 🙂
Wow you are extraordinary . When the notification poped up I got so happy and couldn't stop myself from watching it . I learned English with American accent for 3 years and I became a fluent speaker with upper-intermediate level . Now I've been working on changing my accent to british for a little while . and this video can be of help . Thanks
OMG! My Favoriteeeee English teachers in one place.. The only teachers whom I follow the most.. I didn't thought this could happen this soon... Thank you so much to you people...
I love it when the great English teachers like you mention india...i am an indian and pretty much like many more Indians i enjoy your video lessons so much...both of you are wonderful...i have learnt a lot from you...and the amazing thing is i have a mix of British and American accents...it's funny!😁😂
American English is rhotic, that’s why r is pronounced. And the sound you hear when Americans pronounce ‘water’ for instance, is called flap. Much as I enjoy and value Lucy’s videos and recommend them and you can see and hear Lucy knows how to teach, Marina’s videos are skipping grammar rules and she ignores so many of them. She cannot explain rules and makes up her own to prove what she wants to convey. There are other channels (like Lucy’s, for instance) to learn English. To be honest, I don’t understand phenomenon of Marina’s video, as she’s so ignorant about rules, teaching skills etc.
Being from southern Appalachia we rarely pronounce the g on words ending in "ing". My teachers would almost beat that out of me but I still rarely do it.
When America was founded we were a part of Great Britian. At the time of the founding of the American colonies the British used the word "Fall" not "Autumn". So, we held onto the original old English pronunciation.
Hello you both I really appreciate this interesting English class that teaches us how we can pronounce word and the differences between American and British accents. I noticed that the "r" sound is more present in British than American pronunciation. It's amazing to notice how different the same language can be, depending on what country you come from. Thanks, Lucy and Marina.
Yeah, inviting someone who clearly doesn't speak in English properly is the next level. Moreoever, someone who neither understand, process, nor work on mistakes. Lucy, really? You as a native speaker have noticed for sure. But you prefer to create the colab. It's clear the purpose is not to deliver infomation or teach. Views?

Wow! Woah! Thxx
If i'm not wrong, British would replace the word schedule with the word 'fixture'. Correct me if i'm wrong.
True. Although many people in the UK use the American accent of this word now.
@@franzreyes6185 Wrong. Sorry.

"British vs Russian English" :)
Yes, Marina does a slight tongue touch to her front teeth, when she speaks, that just slightly gives a hint to her homeland, which is not America.
I _love_ that so many people know and are learning English. I think it's wonderful that RUclips's highest-subscribed individual creator, a native Swedish speaker, and his now-wife, a native Italian speaker, could meet and fall in love and be married, in spite of not speaking the other's native language, because they both spoke English.
Sometimes I worry, though, that people's native languages -- and event accents -- seem to be less and less common. I spent several weeks in Germany, and I tried to speak in German to be respectful. Not _one person,_ the entire time I was there, let me carry on with German -- they were all excited to use their English (a lot of my time was spent in quite a small town without a lot of tourists, so it was a more rare occurrence for them). I even overheard younger people -- native Germans! -- speaking to one another in English. British accents and vocabulary seem to be flattening out a bit, as well, likely because of all the interaction with American media and creators. I so hope there will be a concerted effort to retain languages and accents; it would be so boring otherwise.
(Also, the easiest American accent for a Brit is always going to be something _very_ Southern. Southern American accents are, apparently, the closest thing in modern use to Elizabethan English, after all! I don't know the mechanics of it all, but I suspect is has to do with not "smiling" when you say vowels.
