Honestly RUclips, fuck off with the 30second advertisements that cannot be skipped unless you're offering to pay half my data bill from here on out

LanceMarshall420 Advertisements are how RUclips makes money. The ads are esentially paying RUclips and keeping it alive. Without ads, the only other way to make a profit would be for RUclips to charge people to watch videos. (like, for example, Netflix) Also, if you had to pay for an account, you would be paying for that PLUS the data. In the long run, considering you likely mostly use wifi and most ads can be skipped, these ads are saving you money, not costing you.

One life to live but we're doing it wrong
You see, got my brother down cause it's nothing to me
Everyone's saying that it's wrong to cheat
But there's no other way to get my life on easy street
Someone else telling you what you're living for
Been knocking you down, now you're looking for more
The only sound you hear is a closing door
Been looking for peace but they're bringing you war
Rich man's crying cause his money's time
And poor man's smiling cause he knows he ain't blind
There's a man over there says he's tougher than me
But I got eyes that can see through fantasy
I think my life is passing me by
I think my life is passing me by
Take it all back cause it don't mean nothing
If you give it away and you're looking for something back
Wake up every morning when there's nothing there
No reason to die but no reason to care
Someone else telling you what you're living for
Been knocking you down now you're looking for more

I love this song. I remember listening to this in the rain in my mother's car. My mother showed me a book on Albert Einstein's childhood and formative years. She told me that Albert had been kicked out of various schools because they deemed him mentally disabled or retarded. The same thing happened to me more or less. Eventually, Albert became the most valuable physicist in the world. Long story short, my mother was trying to inspire me to work hard and gain a good education. Today, I'm well on my way to being highly educated in the computer science field. I'm headed to university, and I've had a voracious appetite for fiction (I want to be a writer). This comes at a time where kids my age used to make fun of me and bully me, adults discouraged me and nearly broke my spirit, and now, I'm still standing thanks to my mother and Albert Einstein. Whenever I hear this song, I remember what my mother told me, and I feel proud of myself.

Great tune! Also love the video. Guessing this is somewhere along the coast in Canada? This is such a classic though. I remember hearing it on the radio all the time growing up.

My girlfriend got me tickets to see you this June 25th at the BOBCAYGEON Sam. I think your songs stand for what a Canadian should be singing about. I was the first of my family to listen to you. Now that I'm 24 I won't ever stop man. Im hoping you can do "Brother Down" this June as it would be the best song choice over the Trews and The Hip. I'm Joseph Drane and I'm Proud that we have you as our Canadian Artist. P.s Don't forget to Bring the Bongos. :D

I've been a huge Sam Roberts fan since this album came out --- now he's got 4 LPs and they're all great. I went out to see them in concert last night (Vienna, VA, near DC) and there were only about 50 people there. I was shocked! How are they not famous as hell??
