I have never owned a battery operated trimmer until I bought this Hart 40 volt brushless trimmer because my impression was gas trimmers gave you more power and reliability but, I decided to give it a go and I must say the power is there and the convenience of not pulling a cord and not smelling gas made it a no brainer I am impressed and recommend it especially to the elderly it so much easier.
All joking aside when it comes to product testing & reviews I can't think of any other person to inform us with a lucid, articulate & well thought out review as they come. Really looking forward to what you have to say about this trimmer. Then I'll go back to being a jacka$$ on other videos. Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
As my garden isn’t too big I’ve been using various 18 v strimmers for several years and like them a lot . I’m quite impressed with the one that you are using and I may switch to 40 v in the near future .
Looks capable enough. Especially for home owners. Definitely wouldn't try running one all day as part of a business. Not until batteries come down in price and up in run time anyway. Couple more years and we may be there with the technology. For now, I'll stick with my Stihl gas equipment.
Thank you for showing how well this performs, it demolishes everything! I have these demonic vinelike, spiney weeds that grow all along the side of my yard onto the pavement and purchased this exact brushless trimmer, can't wait to kick its ass.
I recently purchased the 40 volt brushless weed eater after giving it deep thought . I always used a gas driven weed eater because of the power I did not think a battery powered weed eater would provide me with the power i needed put I was wrong .
Bought this one a few weeks ago and love it (so far). Wife uses it more than I do! She's out at the weed line every day making our new property bigger. Good thing I like mowing LOL
A lot of clutter around the yard, would drive me nuts. Seemed to perform better than most weed eaters I've seen. Was waiting for snakes and such but enjoyed seeing the lizard leap over to the fence to get away!! Great job, love the videos!
I did recommend that trimmer to a co-worker her b+d battery will on hold a charge and she cannot get a new battery. I recommended hart or kobalt 40v. That take at least 0.080 line . And is a bump feed system . I personally use a 2 cycle gas. Trimmer Going on 4th season. Works great so far. I guess when it goes I might go 40v.
See now I feel like I want to try this one lol. I’m quite happy with my EGO but I feel like I want all the electric trimmers lol. Looking forward to the mower. I’m in FL as well would be interested to see how it holds up against the brutal st. Augustine.
I have been using it on all my jobs for the string trimmer. I like it a lot and it is lighter than my gas unit. I have been seeing a few negatives, but that it mainly because I am using it so much.
Copper Creek Cuts Lawn Care I know you will be reviewing it later, but what is a couple negatives? I’m curious cause looking at getting one to use in trimming my customer yards.
Questions you could answer in a future vlog is, what weight is it with the battery ? and, is it evenly balanced when holding it? if someone does not have much arm or body strength they would not want a machine that is top heavy another question would be battery run time? and after a few sessions do you find the battery still holding charge to keep up with that run time? great vlog once again Brad
I'm impressed by the performance. I recently purchased and Ego trimmer and Ego blower to replace my Echo equipment (since I'm just a suburban south Florida homeowner, not a business) and I have to say I'm impressed - the average half acre homeowner doesn't need more than two (maybe 3, depends) batteries to take care of trimming/blowing. Certainly easy to maintain for sporadic use, no replacing fuel lines or adjusting carbs. But - do you see these as commercially viable?
Not sure about the commercially viable. It isn't built to those specs. I have been using it commercially and am happy with it but have seen a few issues I will cover in the review.
...impressive!... I could hear the power of the battery right away! Longevity is key for every use -- large or small property -- and this looks like it has that feature. Sweet! =^..^=
Hart is just another brand from TTI, the same company that makes Milwaukee, Ryobi, and other established brands, so they're capable of making anything the reseller is willing to pony up for. Doesn't mean they're excellent across the board, just means it's tough to ignore.
Looks like a great machine but a little too loud for me. How did you find the weight compared to your gas powered? What size string comes with it? Oh, before I forget, the local wild rabbits made breakfast out of my croci but left my tulips alone! They also did some major pruning of my year old burning bush, but chicken wire should prevent that from now on!😆 Have a great week!!
I wouldn't compare sound from real life to this video. Remember, it was audio captured by a gopro, rendered through a computer, uploaded to RUclips, and being played through your device. Not a great representation of what it actually sounds like.
Hello thank you for the informative video I would really like to know how much this trimmer weighs with the included 4ah battery installed if possible thanks
@@buckybob1 very close, i just measured mine with the 4.0 battery and no safety shield it is 10 lbs. 15 oz.. new from walmart last week, used a postal scale.
Good job weed whacking and dealing with multiple hazard around the property. Definitely go with blades it’s much easier than using string . Was this elderly person house?
That high pitched whine is really annoying. Seems to do the job. Be interesting to know how long you were actually trimming and how much the battery drained. If you put this yard on a regular rotation, I would spend about an hour and put all of the bricks and other crap in one location to speed up subsequent mowings (charge the customer of course for the cleanup).
I suspect the brick piles are unfinished potential projects. This is his own yard! Lol the small stack by the wooden fence was to keep critters out(or in, i suspect). Good job, Brad!
I don't understand the string. Doesn't it just go round and round? How does it run out of line? Why do you need to bump it for more string? Where did it go?
I wouldn't judge the volume at all based on a YT video. It was recorded via a GoPro, uploaded to a computer, rendered through an editor, uploaded to YT, and playing via your device specifications. What it sounds like is a poor representation of what it sounds like in real life.
You probably think like I do. I only have about 10 yards, but I will cut those before I even think about cutting my own. Nobody pays me to cut mine. You got a full time job just trimming that yard. Too much stuff and trees in the way for my taste. You should maybe consider hiring a lawn care service LOL
@vegeta420z I watched another lawn care channel. A new customer had 4 full size tables & chairs in the backyard for the guy to mow around or move then put back.
Brad, do you purposely let your yard grow that long to torture test equipment or is it because you do that all day and the last thing you feel like doing is your own yard😁? Battery power equipment is fine I think for the homeowner, but until a battery can last all day long for someone who has a mowing business it will never be worth the investment. It does seem like it has decent power. Was that one battery?
No comments on the performance or the types of weeds & terrain you dealt with...? Twenty some-odd minutes of watching you cut, Had to fast forward... 🤔 It would’ve been more consumer oriented if you told us how the unit performed… (How often you had to bump to let string out, the battery usage and consumption, the power at low versus high, the weight & balance, the noise or decibel level...)
