Your reviews of this trimmer, plus my own research, is why I bought one a few months ago...and the hedge trimmer attachment...and the pole saw attachment. Great recommendation, this thing is awesome. For my mid-sized yard with a pond bank and full surround vinyl fencing, it's the perfect machine. The 4.0 Ah battery gives me 2 complete trimming and cutting sessions, each on HI setting lasting around 1 to 1.5 hours. Great reviews and great videos!!!
That battery trimmer laid da smackdown on that lot!! And.. you're 100% correct, the battery stuff is evolving so fast nowadays!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.
That’s what I like about the Hart weed eater I bought it’s definitely lighter than a gas weed eater you’re arms don’t get tired after using it for awhile.
I love my Stihl battery operated. It is scared of nothing! It cuts everything I've tried it on, including some south Alabama brush! I am with you on this, Brad!
I was pretty skeptical about electrics as well. But my brother let me use his 40v Ryobi string trimmer and that thing gets it done. I was able to do an entire overgrown fence line what was several hundred feet long with it. and it was plowing through some really large stuff, too.
I’ve owned Stihl trimmers, but my son also has the 40V Ryobi. I’ve found myself borrowing his more and more because it gets the job done, is much lighter, and faster to use. I’ve only used it for standard trimming, but still rely of the stihl for edging the sidewalks. I’m very impressed with the Ryobi.
@@flyjarrett the main advantage over the gas is that the electric trimmer starts with the press of a button meanwhile with the gas sometimes by the time the machine decides it is gonna start am already tired.
Plenty people cut grass on RUclips but it’s something about seeing it sped up that’s so satisfying or maybe it’s the quarantine talking but don’t ever stop !!!
Wow. Damn near perfect. Only reason for the "near" is that I wanted to see you prune that tree. Rotting leaves hanging. Arggghhhhh....just grab it and yank. Brilliant. Love what you do. 😊😊😊😊😊
Bought one of these, and this video was the reason why. I've had it a while now, and it's an amazing product. I just got through using it this morning! I also have the Hart 14" chainsaw which uses the same battery. Very good products! Thanks for this video which helped me choose the Hart tools.
I have been looking out for a deal on this trimmer for over a year. Walmart finally dripped the price 20 bucks, so I bought one. I really like it! Plenty of power and the speed control is good. I like to spin it slower to reduce the stuff flying into my legs, but it goes plenty fast on full tilt. One unexpected thing I really like is that it works with my Ryobi edger attachment and works way better than the Ryobi Gas motor. The reason is the clutch boggs down the edger on the gas setup, but electric is power for days and no clutch getting in the way. It edges so much better!
This qualifies as an oddly satisfying video. And very instructive. Nice job on cement tiles and fences. This proves what a machine should be capable of. Great thx!
Yes sir. Was already sold on the idea of that particular weed eater. Going for the combo kit. Only wish they had a riding lawnmower as well. Knees n back isn't what they used to be.
I got the 80 volt Kobalt because you can change out the bottom for other attachments that I had from prior gas trimmers. The thing is a beast and you never have to deal with starting issues. If there was one issue is that you might have to carry a spare battery or 2 if you are going a long distance away, but it usually works out for me when the battery dies (30 mins of working it) because I get to cool down and then just get another battery. They also charge up super fast.
We are just down the road from you in Jackson County FL and enjoying watching your channel. We are still doing major clearing from Hurricane Michael with Kubota's. What once was forest is now field :D Adapt and overcome.
Previously i would have never went electric but after using a few electric tools i was blown away i had tried some a few years back before there was even a market but now you get great power for the money
I am glad you like it that much! Keep in mind there are two different 15" 40 volt attachment string trimmers, this is the BRUSHLESS model. Don't want you getting the wrong one!
I just bought a husqvarna 115iL a couple of days ago. It's a nice machine. For moderate to large areas you need at least 2 batteries and a fast charger to be able to finish the job though. Batteries are still expensive, so it becomes a rather big investment.
I run the husqvarna battery trimmer and I love it, the standard battery gets me 4 rounds of trimming on a 1/2 acre property. The extended life batteries almost cost more than the bare tool. I'm sticking with the standard batteries it comes with.
Geat video. I purchase this trimmer after I saw your video and it's working great. Just like in your video it is very powerful and easier to start and use than my Gas Poulan Trimmer.
