Just bought this last weekend and so far, so good. Yes, it is difficult figuring out the configuration but it's everyting I've always wanted a skate game to be.
I just bought it, I watched a beginner video so I kind of knew how the controls worked. Everytime I start a new game I think it feels weird and janky but honestly it felt like a glove. I am 38 now haven’t skated in years, it’s so nice to have something akin to this. You still playing 3 months in?
@@SoyDuckHotjust got the game been following it since the earliest test builds for the game where given to RUclipsrs but never decided to buy it and then it came out on PlayStation plus so I said I'd try it and I'm not disappointed although turning with the triggers just baffled my brain at first although I knew going in that's how u turn
I loved playing skate 3 and just started playing session. Just a warning, you will fall, ALOT. Tweaking the settings will help some, but you will not be skating around like a god without practice. To me, the falling mechanic actually adds a bit of fun to the game and it’s so much more gratifying to land a difficult trick.
@@antispiral09 I agree, I finished them but the most aggravating part is the boxes that it makes you do the trick in. You may have a 3’x3’ box to do the trick in, but it’s actually only a 6”x6” box that ACTUALLY REGISTERS the trick. There’s countless times when I’ve landed the exact trick it wanted me to do, but I either didn’t land or pop exactly where it wanted me to.
@@astralmiindLol exactly bro! This is the only game in recent memory to make me slam my controller like a raging COD player. I’d be working a mission for an hour and finally get it but I “wasn’t within the mission parameters”. Still love the game.
@@astralmiindidk if this may help, but i noticed having manual catch on for some reason made the trick not register properly for certain challenges. Changing to auto catch fixed it
Skate 3 is my whole childhood I still play it to this day and yes session is a bit more tricky to learn but it’s not that hard play it for a week and u can already master kickflip grinds into a manual
I got it last night and hated it at first cause I was playing as if it was skate 3 controls😂😂 once I got the hang of it everything was smooth as butter. I just hate that I can’t play online with people.
It’s like hand boarding almost. Or even real skateboarding. I grew up skateboarding, people who haven’t, don’t really feel the connection between the two. This game is for sure a good game.
the flip tricks are easy enough, but its the damn grinds bro edit: i learned how to max out difficulty settings (flip/scoop sync off and whatever) and yeah no its all difficult
Ngl it’s easier than skate in my opinion. Only thing harder is the character direction when trying to hit a trick & moving in a certain direction at the same time
Bro is this on PC? Are you using mods or just tweaking settings? This is the first time I was watching gameplay from this game and actually got excited. However you have it is perfect
I feel like when you actually play it it’s not as bad as they say it’s not like it takes you more then 15 min to learn how to do pretty much everything before touching extras stay away from that it’s just like real skating it literally takes some time if you look at a spot and you want to land a line it may not happen right away
Online games of skate and jams and death races etc would be amazing. Also choosing to be sponsored by whatever companies u want thru challenges or comps whatever or the choosing to make your own company
I find just setting up the tricks is difficult. Just getting the joysticks to perform a simple Ollie is cumbersome. I like the game but man it is really difficult.
I can’t find it for the Nintendo switch though. I’m so happy that there’s another skate game that looks like skate and isn’t Tony hawk. I like exploring The only game I’ve been playing for a while is True Skate

Just bought this, did not know you could change the control settings, hopefully that will make it easier will try tomorrow 😂 cause damn shits hard i got to the mission where Daewon wants you to flip trick out of three different manuals im stuck lol
