Love how eloquent and open this kid is about the mental health aspect of sport. Can’t imagine how many younger guys will benefit from seeing his content.
Lando Is So Pure. I Struggle To Communicate My Feelings, So I Keep Them Bottled Up. But That's Because I'm Scared Of My Emotions Being Invalidated; Sometimes It's Nice Being Able To Understand Someone You Idolise. Love You, Lando 🧡
Growing up i always had these thoughts of "am i not good enough?", "what am i doing wrong?" and I always believed that other people never had those kind of thoughts. Back then it was never portrait in the media that other people also suffered from these sort of thought and other mental health issues. (especially in sports) Seeing lando openly talk about it makes my heart melt and I am sure that so many kids will now finally understand that everyone has these thoughts and they are in fact not the only ones. So a huge thanks to not only you guys but also to Lando for putting some spotlight on mental health.
I could understand Lando's struggle. Like, anyone who sees him would know he's not the smartest "academically" and all that. He's so young when he started racing, it's probably the only life he knows. It's understandable, F1 is very competitive that one could easily get replaced if he doesn't do well. For him to be thinking that if his career doesn't go well in the long run, what would he do. You can hear him always berating himself, saying he lacks talent or not good enough. And then you hear other drivers saying he is on his wild phase. Lando should work on his mental well-being. Nico Rosberg even said in one interview that he wants to reach out to Lando because he's undergone some struggles with his mental health, too. Rosberg said he worked with a psychologist for many many hours, maybe more than his physical training, and it has greatly helped him navigate his F1 career. I hope he is getting help. I hope he knows that it's ok to need help and get help, and that HE IS talented. Only best wishes to him 💕
very recognisable, high positions give a lot of responsibility and self-reflection is necessary not to lose yourself. it is your posture that determines your height, wish you many sucses and stay who you are!
I'm a big Lando fan, but let's keep things fair: he was not beaten by Carlos in 3-4 races; he was beaten by Carlos in the majority of the races in 2019 and 2020.
Love Lando but “if this doesn’t work what will I fall back on” You’re dad is worth tens, maybe hundreds of millions of pounds Lando pal 😂😂😂 BUT he’s a dude and his openness is huge, especially for other young guys watching
That kind of life can bring all kinds of different struggles. Being famous and therefore opening yourself up to criticism about every single thing you do is not to be taken lightly. I know I would not be able to handle that at all. So please consider putting yourself in somebody else’s shoes before assuming that they don‘t have it as hard. Everybody has their own stuff to deal with that you might not even know about.

So true, the more we speak the more we learn!
lando deserves the biggest hug

We all find it difficult sometimes, we also definitely idolise Lando! He was a brilliant guest.
@@HighPerformancePodcast I'd Imagine That He Was A Brilliant Guest!

enjoyment and fun, good advice. Lando is not full of himself in this high earning sport, and is such a level headed person.
No one has it easy. Thank you for sharing.
A timely reminder of exactly that! Thanks for watching ❤️
Beautiful perspective
A timely reminder 💪
I love this guy

That was amazing insight and advice. This could be applied to just about anything; career, parenting, partnership, etc
Norris 🧡✨️Is the best👏
First Nando, now Lando)

I love this pair of wet blanket interviewers who ask him questions like it's a job interview.

this is only a piece of the an entire interview. why not show the entire interview?
Only his neck became thicker year by year,
I somehow think, even if he didn’t make it in F1 he would have been okay. It helps when your dad is worth £200 million 🤷🏻♂️
You’re young, rich and famous. Life can be so hard at times I’m sure 😂😂😂
