He’s experiencing corners at 6gs, which is 6 times his body weight. Which means he instantly being pushed down by 900lbs instantly and then it instantly stops a couple times a lap, for 5 hours on a race weekend.

@@alexghazarian1144 Thing is..theyre not even stirring up drama.. theyre just making up drama that didnt exist, put weird shots/scenes together that never make sense and the worst of all....they ignore the actual drama and actual stories of the season. The first season I liked the Ricciardo side of the story but it went downhill ever since.

Whether you are an F1 fan or not you cannot deny how serious and how much time and effort goes into both the training and the safety element of the cars of today in F1. I remember when during the old Top Gear when Richard Hammond jokingly said how hard can it be to drive a F1 car and then he got the reality check of how difficult it must've been to drive one of these machines, the fact these guys do 200mph in cars that weigh less then majority of road cars today, it is just insane how nimble and how agile they really are. I especially love the neck and head exercise It all makes sense when they prepare their drivers for the high G tolerance in the sport. Do other sports do that training exercise or is it just F1?

It is an NFL channel -- they do not want to show how puny F1 drivers may actually be stronger/more capable than NFL big boys in areas where the F1 driver may actually be stronger/more capable than the NFL star (forgive the wordiness, but I have re-worded this to try to make it easier to follow of MC-kf3ze). They want to show how cool and diverse (reaching out to other sports) NFL can be.

@@MC-kf3ze Really? Interesting. You see, the NFL has interest in promoting the NFL. Having a delicate and comparatively "puny" athlete from a different sport (esp. one that is commonly not understood in regard to the actual physical demands) appearing to have *any* real physical strength parity, let alone possible superiority over a big burly NFL hero on an NFL channel would generally not be something that would make the NFL participant look impressive. This would not be in the typical "playbook" of an NFL channel. As an interesting side note, some drivers do neck pulls over 88 pounds and in some cases (Alex Albon has a video -- and who knows who else does?) occasionally, though not typically well over 130 pounds. NFL players are tough, but this is not an area where they need to focus their training. So, exploiting that element is unlikely to occur with an NFL focused media source featuring an NFL super star. Obviously and notably, they did not do that here. If this is insufficient for you to better understand, I will let it be as the ones who liked the previous comment were apparently able to make sense of it just fine.

@@anthonysarmiento2360 I'm not sure anyone said there were other areas where F1 drivers were physically "stronger". I did earlier allude to stronger (neck) and areas where F1 drivers would be "more capable" (that is another discussion). Where "strength" is concerned, I believe the answer I provided to MC-kf3ze pretty clearly emphasizes that the video failed to make much effort to demonstrate the significant neck strength (or really any of the actual fitness levels/physical demands required). What I say beyond this point is not so much the point that was being made before, but humouring you for just one second regarding some of the elements of F1 driver fitness/capability that were not emphasized to make the title "Game Recognize Game" seem sincere. For an F1 fan, this is a big deal because most people unfamiliar do NOT think of "race car drivers" as "athletes" or needing to be particularly fit. Again, this is NOT what my original post was intended for - this is humouring you: The video certainly did not emphasize much to increase awareness in this matter. It is not something many *non* F1 fans are aware of and of, but something that would be shocking to most non F1 fans if they realized the extreme strain on the body as well as strength required to continually manage the lateral Gs the drivers experience through the duration of an F1 race. Certainly most of the camera angles etc. give **NO** concept of what is actually happening, the true speed, or the reality of doing that for the duration of a race, let alone having to simultaneously endure it and remain *laser* focused the entire time with very literal millimeter precision while consciously/intentionally being able to modulate tenths of a second on a lap etc. There is almost no breather/rest as the body is being strained, yet during it all the consequences of a millimeter of error or a very small loss of focus or distracion in a millisecond are lives at genuine risk and/or if lucky, just millions of dollars lost. A driver can lose 10 pounds of weight in sweat during a race. Again, "Game Recognize Game" failed to do much other than... The point is... Nevermind, I said it above. And the jab related to multi-millionaire parents seems purile. There are plenty of NFL players who come from well healed backgrounds. But, there are around 1700 NFL players and about 24 F1 drivers in the world. Playing football is not generally expensive and scholarships etc. are available. Sponsorships are available for drivers, but to even get to that point can require BIG sacrifice for families. You know what? Forget all that. The answer to the jab is WAY beyond the scope of this discussion and an effort to answer that here simply would not be effective. Respectfully I will bow and acknowledge the criticism IS incredibly fair in some instances as there absolutely are a few who drive in large part because their way was paved by wealthy parents' dollars -- with a few exceptions, most of those however, are NOT the best in the sport or even close, but that's not really what the video or earlier discussion were about or what is relevant here. It is just a red herring at best.
I'm a Red Bull fan ever since Seb drove and Gran Turismo online would celebrate championships with car releases. That being said I absolutely love Lando, he seems like a genuine person. Cheers to watching him battle with Verstappen this year.

@@clam_baked I doubt it was before the season, it was likely in the 2 week break between Jeddah and Austrailia as that would give time for Deebo to get his rest after the super bowl and be an opportunity for Lando to be at the MTC

Now that I'm getting old and have had some neck injuries, herniated discs etc., I wish I had the opportunity to go back and specifically train my neck like an F1 driver when I was younger. You don't know how nice it is not to have neck pain until your neck hurts 100% of every day

I don’t know if they’re allowed to use their proper F1 sim. Those things are expensive, and quite secretive. Plus it’s not an option if they wanted to do their little segment of them racing each other, and giving Deebo all the assists.
