Very cool, thanks for sharing. I just got a 7.2 a couple weeks ago, intending to use it for my travel trailer in a pinch, and maybe even run things in my house when the power is out.
I can't wait to see the specifics of how this system works on the Lightning. Please make a video like this for it when it becomes available. I'd like to use this system for a back up generator at the house without having to pay the premium to buy the V2H options - I cannot afford the $20k upcharge for the bigger battery on the XLT...
My dad has a 2022 ford f150 and I was wondering why his outlets were not giving off power but I watched this video and he does not have that power onboard option on his screen any reason why?
Thanks for this! Couple questions, regarding the 7.2, there’s a 12v cigarette plug in the cab 2nd row at the rear of the center console. Is that tied into circuit A or B of the Pro Power generator (PPG)? Reason I’m asking, I’m putting a chest type fridge freezer requiring constant power available in the cab 2nd row for camping. It can be powered by either 12v or 120v. If I can power the fridge freezer via 12v vs. 120v I believe I save on the inefficiency of having to convert the dc battery power for AC consumption via the inverter. If it’s not tied into the Pro Power Generator, what does the functionality of this 12v cigarette plug look like? Is it on only when the truck is on and when the truck is turned off the it goes dead? If so, it’s not a viable power supply for the fridge and I’d have to go AC through the PPG. Also, can you confirm if both the dash & center console displays can, or should, be un-illuminated while parked if I’m powering the fridge overnight? Not sure if those are tied into the PPG power or if it’s draining a different smaller battery that should for starting only. Any clarification would be welcomed. Thank you! Always find your videos worth the time.

I've had a Lightning with the pro power onboard for almost a year now with no issues with it. You might make sure the wiring is all hooked up okay under the bed. Also make sure you have it activated in the screen and there light is on by the outlet.
if batteries are full charged, it will run until a charge is needed and engine will start or stop depending on whether or not power is needed to top up batteries.
Hi, I'm planning to buy F-150 Hybrid. The 2.4kW ProPowerOnboard can use while driving and ACC mode? If it can use that condition, is the power limited under 2.4kW? Thanks!

@@longmcarthur I think it depends on what you order. I have a used 2021 powerboost lariat, the most I filled up was 33 gallons when i got very low and I do have the 7.2kw pro power

I just got a 21 Lariat and it came with just the 400W plug in the bed. Is it possible to upgrade to the 2000 watt after purchase. Or does the truck need to come with ProPower?
I have a power outlet in the back. That Has 3 Prongs and none of them on. Your video Don't seem to show a 2023 X. L. T. Then then don't have a button for power. It won't power my soul or generator.
Sure would like to see someone post a link to the correct adapter to change the 240v to 120V 30 amp. One of my main reasons to buy the hybrid would be to power my RV towable AC unit & appliances.
It really sucks that this is only available in supercrew. This is a feature for a work truck, and an 8ft bed is a workin' man's truck. Same with the diesel. It just doesn't make sense. If the 3.0l diesel or the Powerboost were available in an 8ft bed I would buy one in a heartbeat. But, no... I'm stuck with the V8 that I don't even like. Zero sense.
Really? You mean considering generators weigh between 200 to 500 lbs. Are very bulky and cumbersome and take extra space. They are extremely noisy and suck gas like crazy. This thing is genius and should of been implemented in trucks a long time ago. This takes away alot of those hassles and you "drive" your generator around town.

Great video, thank you.
Thank you!
Can you drive down the road while using power from the outlet in the bed of the truck?
yes, i do it all the time.
Is the hybrid the only one that shuts off and turn back on!?
Yes, if the battery has enough charge it doesn't need the engine on, when the battery gets low then it will need to turn on to charge up the battery.

At full 7200 watt usage, how long will the truck run before needing fuel?
I would say quite a while its standard 30.6 gallon tank and its not always running to provide power. 24-36 hours I would say.
On RUclips a guy powered his camper with a 13000 btu air conditioner, lights etc for 48 hrs and only used just over 7 gallons. That’s over 8 days.
Tim- can you upgrade the 1.4 to a 7.2 after purchase? KR powerboost- but only 2.4.
How come the Forums say you do not have to have the engine running?
