Hello Dr. Hendricks, Gabriel D., and Lava Lee, You asked for comments on what the viewers do to reduce plastic pollution. Here are some things that I do to reduce plastic pollution. 1. I take reusable shopping bags on my shopping trips. 2. If, when shopping paper or plastic is an option should I use all of my reusable bags, I opt for paper. 3. I treat zip top plastic bags as reusable. I wash them, just like our other kitchen ware, and reuse them. I grew up economically challenged and there are a log of things that people throw away that can be used used and you save MONEY and the ENVIRONMENT. 4. We purchased glass storage containers with lids to eliminate the need for plastic wrap. 5. Speaking of plastic wrap, we have some reusable bowl covers that are washable for containers without lids. This way we reduce the amount of plastic wrap we use. 6. We RECYLE all of our plastic containers. 7. We reuse our produce bags from one shopping trip to the next. You know, the plastic bags in the produce section that are used to put un-bagged produce, such as red leaf lettuce, in for check out. We are still looking for ways to reduce, re-use, and recycle where we can.
When I was younger plastic was not as prevalent, groceries were packaged in paper bags (Hollywood movies always showed people in supermarkets packaging shopping in big paper bags) fluids came in glass containers that could be reused or recycled (we used to collect soda bottles for the money you got to return them) successive governments had chosen big business over health of the environment.
I’m 26, I have felt low energy, fatigue, low motivation and libido for so many years. I did an exam to my sperm, and only 5% have normal shapes; 70% have defects on the head, 75% on the neck, and 23% on the tail. This is very scary, I’m basically infertile and I can’t know how to improve it.
Hopefully as you’ve had a sperm morphology (and presumably motility) test you should now have a lead consultant on board who can help you with the various issues involved, as a scientist I would recommend asking a) if ‘Genetic Screening’ is available to see if there is an underlying cause as to why the morphology is abnormal. And b) asking if all of the standard blood test have been done along with your ‘Complete Hormone Profile’ and a ‘Electrolyte Serum Analysis’ (N.B. Some electrolytes/nutrients & vitamins are not that easy to measure accurately as they can vary dramatically during a day for example). You are at the start of your journey, not at the end of the diagnostic process. But be encouraged that with 5% normal morphology (and presumably motility) you will not be completely infertile, there are specific IVF techniques such as ICTSI that can still allow you to successfully have children when you are ready. Take care mate.
Interesting topic - not an impact I'd heard of before. Thanks for putting it out there - maybe it will make people think twice about plastic pollution because it affects them so intimately. I'm not sure if it's EU-wide but here in France, things are moving in the right direction with plastic straws being replaced by cardboard, microwave meals being packaged in card instead of plastic, etc. although the French are very fond of their bottled water and there doesn't seem to be a major shift away from plastic just yet.
Sadly solar panels, wind turbines, EV vehicles are riddled with plastics or petroleum products. Petroleum products are in everything from condoms, to your carpet and vinyl floors, the wiring in your house, your water and waste pipes, your roof shingles, windows, exterior doors, decks, siding, iPhone, iPad, soles of your Birkenstocks and the list goes on and on.
LOL! I though ( with this title ) it was about penile implant surgery. It's all plastic (ish). I had that surgery done and I think that is a great topic to discuss. Before I had mine done I searched all over the internet for information and support. There is next to nothing... Maybe bring this topic up so guys are educated on penile implant surgery.
Thank you for tackling this topic. Do you think those plastics also mess up with our hormones and ultimately affect sexual orientation and/or gender identity? What about the many other chemicals that we consume with abandon?
Hi dr henderix great topic as always. Can u do a topic on choosing the right condom. I think that would be helpful. Thanks. And by the way Gabriel is a great host, that has a great personality.
I wish I looked in your location. I would so be coming to you as a patient, especially with all these topics. I have a female doctor and at times I just don’t really talk about none of this at all. I just go in and just get my physical and get my prescription and leave, but I wish you had a virtualsite that we can pop into but I’m sure that would make you extremely extremely busy
Hello gents, Considering that plastics are proven carcinogens, can this eventually suggest that testicular cancer, a form of cancer more often observed in younger men, could increase in the upcoming years.
Is it actually the plastic chemical that is carcinogenic or is it still thought to be trace amounts of the highly toxic and carcinogenic solvents and primary ingredients? It’s been decades since I read any since around the topic so I would be interested to know.
Like the plastics, people that work in Semi-Conductor (Chip) factories are working on Nano Technology are possibly being exposed to Nano materials that used in the chip manufacturing industry.
Hi Guys, would it be worth while running a topic on Prostrate Cancer in younger men. As we know prostrate cancer in the past would have been seen as an older man cancer. We are seeing more younger men with prostrate cancer, I was 54 when diagnosed with prostrate cancer that lead to a radical prostatectomy. Minimal nerve spearing left its mark in relation to sexual functionality. Two years post operation I had a penile implant to restore sexual function. While a penile implant is not a perfect fix, it’s better than nothing. There is much more I could go into, but am very interested in your views in this process and sexual recovery after a penile implant. Many thanks for these videos they are very informative.
Sorry to hear about your troubles, but I’m glad you are able to see things from such a positive place. I agree it would be very good information for all men to have, we still struggle to get all men and teenage boys to check their testicles regularly and this is the most basic of things that all males should be taught at school, along with what to watch for in terms of prostrate problems.

The same shift is happening in the UK, though since Brexit that says nothing about the EU of course.
Thanks for taking the time to expound upon a topic most people are unacquainted. 🐧🍏🍎💙
A very scary subject... thank you for the information.
Thanks for the info guys! Good to be aware of...

If you could, could you explore the impact of atrazine and PCBs in the human body? Thank you.
Will soon one day give new meaning to plastic surgery.
Thanks for lightening the tone of a serious issue!
took me a few seconds before laughing at that

Is it any plastic or certain types of plastic? For example, I know a lot of products, like reusable water bottles, state BPA free.

Microplastics were recently found in the Marianas Trench, so why not in our private parts?
I've heard that polyester underwear contains microplastics that can enter that area, is this true or is it just clickbait?
Dr. Hendricks and Gabriel D you are both handsome men. 🙌😍😘🏳️🌈🌈

Do people with low T have less acne?
Why does the skin on penis head change color when you age?
Like the plastics, people that work in Semi-Conductor (Chip) factories are working on Nano Technology are possibly being exposed to Nano materials that used in the chip manufacturing industry.
You guys are so adorable love your videos. Have you noticed that Gabriel always looks like he is squinting?

I honestly don't care what these cuties say (particularly Gabriel). I just like looking at them.
