Thank you for such a great and in depth review. I know how much effort this video took to produce, I am not sure everybody really appreciates it. Thank you again!
I have actually done frame rate tests as well but didn't include it in this video as it's quite long as is already. I've also done app comparison and a comparison of the various special functions some of these cameras have... -So I might consider doing a part 3 for this :)
Expecting the Part 3, maybe the FRAME RATE on moving items in Part 4 (if you have the time?) My personal choice is MIJIA 1080P for stand-still and 360 definitely DaFang for sure (think it is everyone's choice)
Yeah, that is the obvious choice indeed! I think the Mijia is really nice as well, especially during daytimes, and the Bluetooth Gateway functionality is really a nice bonus. I put the Xiaofang on number 1 because of its price vs. the quality but it has a few flaws. (Its very low weight surely being one of them.) www.xiaomify.com/products/xiaomi-smart-cameras/ I might try to make a sortable list of all the specs so people can compare the list of specs based on what they find to be important. (weight, framerate, video quality, price, audio quality, etc...) I'll probably need some time to get that up and running, as time is going to be very scarce the coming weeks! After that, I'm going full gas!
Aqara seems to score top 3 all the time, could be a good choice for me as my main room is quite wide connecting to 3 other rooms. Putting it in the middle could detect movements coming from all other rooms.
Great details video. Actually i bought Dafang & Xiaofang before watching your video. Really proud that i pick the correct one. End up bought 2 Dafang & 5 Xiaofang. Also got international version of Yi Home & Yi Outdoor cameras. 😅
@xiomify thanks for the camera comparison videos. What I would like to see on another video is the available automation each camera has in the xiaomi ecosystem. Till now I have only two cameras in my home, the old Yi camera and the ptz 720p. What I have noticed is that if you try to make an automation with a motion or door sensor the two cameras have different choices. Yi camera has an option to record a 10 sec video and send it to mobile if a sensor is activated, on the other hand the ptz 720 has only an option to turn sleep mode on or off. What about the other cameras? I am waiting the mijia 1080 and dafang camera next week and I will check it by my self, but I think it would be a useful video for all users.
Hey xiaomify thanks for the great video. Liked and subcribed! One thing that you may have missed are the features of each camera. I am interested in the mijia 1080p camera, because it can set the sensitivity area of motion detection. But i dont know if the others can do it too. I am waiting for the part-3 video 🙏
mijia 1080p have bluetooth hub so you can connect new temperature sensor with display to your home app, also unique feature i am using whish is paired Mi Band2 so if i come home it automatically go to sleep mode..when i leave home it start recording automatically depending on mi band2 bluetooth signal.
Awesome video! Any idea if xiaomi is going to bring out a smart wireless doorbell (with or without a camera)? That's something I would jump on straight away
I have been hoping for such a device for a while. -No idea if they are working on it, but would not be surprised if they are though... If it does come out, I will get one that second!
Thanks for this amazing comparison, in my opinion the last video was already enough to help us choose. Anyway these camera are not enough for Xiaomi, a new camera is coming out from Imi labs ahahah 😂 Ps: finally Xiaomi announced it will arrive in Italy officially with a MI store! Yeaaaaah😍
Can I connect Xiaomi sensors (temperature, smoke detector, water, etc) to dafang? Or better use aqara? Dafang looks best for me as I don't need 180 degree view angle. Thanks.
The Dafang camera does not have gateway functionality. The only camera that functions as a Zigbee gateway is the Aqara camera. You could optionally use a standalone gateway for your sensors.
If I have both Xiaomi and Yi cameras, would they work with Mi Home App or you can only view them in their own specific app - either Mi Home App or Yi Home App?
Hi @xiaomify, thanks for this great video of camera comparation. I've buyed the Aqara camera with gateway, but was unable to use it to trigger the alarm and send me push notification when some motion is detected in the picture. can you do a video how to use this gateway feature integrated with the camera, since is the only camera with a gateway included ? thanks...
are this camera will remember/continue clock setting ? i doubt it will freeze or reset the clock, unless connected to a wifi network or reconfigure the time setting everytime the power disconnected.
Hi Shantam, I might do some other comparison videos with these cameras showing those things as well. I think it probably is not a good choice as these cameras use their infrared at night, so if that is behind your window pointing outside the infrared will reflect on the glass and you will end up having a very white screen. (I have tried it before, but not recorded with all the camera's yet to see the difference...) Perhaps a better choice for you would be one of the Yi outdoor cameras. These can be mounted outside of your window and they are water and weather-proof so you won't have to deal with the infrared reflection. -Hope that helps!
xiaomify thanks man for the fast reply :) . My camera will be outside no windows or anything but no chance of rain so it's safe . I would be pointing it towards the ground from my 2nd floor building where my car stands. The thing I wasn't clear was will the camera be able to capture a distance of 2 floors and record with some clarity so that I can get to know who passes by or touches my car at night. Since watching all your videos I have all the sensors and gateways it would be really perfect and would really blend in with other xiaomi products
xiaomify also I wanted to buy xiaomi handheld electric mop but didn't find any good videos regarding its function or cleaning power. Is it a good buy currently.
I have the Xiaofang, Dafang & Mijia 360 1080P, Dafang is definitely superior that the more expensive Mijia 360. The colour tone for Mijia 360 is too bad. If you are looking for 360 camera, please settle for the cheaper one which is Dafang.
I might do a comparison video about the Yi Camera's and perhaps a video with all the current Xiaomi camera's VS. the Yi camera's. The camera's I have tested are all being sold by Xiaomi and all work with the Mi Home APP. (All the new Yi camera's are not supported in the Mijia APP and are not being sold by Xiaomi, xcept for the Yi M1 -mirror-less photo camera, but I think its just a matter of time before they pull that of the shelf...)
I have the Aqara smart doorlock in use for about 6 weeks now. I will do a video on that one soon. I wanted to have it in use for a while before doing the video but it is surely coming!
Thank you for such a great and in depth review. I know how much effort this video took to produce, I am not sure everybody really appreciates it. Thank you again!
You should do a re-review of all the new cams they released from than til now! Would love that!
Great jobs!!! It would be perfect in comparison if you could test out the FRAME RATE while items are moving, since these are all CCTV camera.

Awesome job! Thanks a lot!
The amount of work in this comparing all is soo good! Keep it up man!
Great video! It make me buy the Dafang and i love it! Could you do a video about outdoor cameras support by the MiHome app??
Thank you!! Much more comprehensive than the first video.
Thanks for the hardwork in putting up this video!
omg im so happy i saw your reviews
Aqara seems to score top 3 all the time, could be a good choice for me as my main room is quite wide connecting to 3 other rooms. Putting it in the middle could detect movements coming from all other rooms.

YOU ARE SOOOO FREAKING XIAOMIawesome DUDE :)
I would love an update to this in 2020. Unfortunately there are like 20 Xiaomi cameras now, so it might be a colossal job.
thank you, your work is pretty useful since i am going to choose one
thanks again! straightforward.
Nice video like always, now the last one i need to know is how the Aqara Cam works as a Gateway. Peace !
Nice video. One thing is not correct the linked gateway camera is a zigbee version for old (non bt sensors)
Congrats on the video!
Are there any outdoor cameras produced by Xiaomi?
I made my decision to buy the dafang based on this video. Thanks!
Awesome review. Thanks! Doesn't Dafang have a rotating base?
Great video, thanks! Can you make a video tutorial, how to use mi home devices with Apple HomeKit? I didn’t find any of these step by step tutorials.
Great video. Do you know if there is in plan some xiaomi outdoor camera ?
Great video Xiaomify!
Thank you, needed this. I wish they have power over Ethernet cameras.

Wonderful!

Hello! Thank you for the test, I am sold on some camera from XiaoMi.
Are you planning to try the new revised 2019 XiaoMi IMI?
Hi do Xiaomi make any outdoor cams
great review. Thank you.

Очень классные обзоры, спасибо!
What about the yi dome camera? What is the quality of it compared to all the cameras listed on the video?
If I have both Xiaomi and Yi cameras, would they work with Mi Home App or you can only view them in their own specific app - either Mi Home App or Yi Home App?
would you do the review for xiaomi chuangmi xiaobai . and conpare with the other xiaomi products. thanks

What is the difference between Chinese and international version?
Hi... How far are you from the camera during the mic test?
Hi..are these ip cams attachable in any way to the ceiling or mount them to the wall?
We want Xiaomi to make smart video doorbells like those made by "Ring"
Xiaomi should make you their permanent employee..
How do you get the xiaofang camera to work? I get massage only work from mainland china ?
are this camera will remember/continue clock setting ? i doubt it will freeze or reset the clock, unless connected to a wifi network or reconfigure the time setting everytime the power disconnected.
