Hi @rendezvu84 🤗 we noticed people fishing on the piers 🐠 The local seafood in the shops looked fresh and there was a huge variety…thanks for watching!
Ha ha thanks Lynn, unfortunately, due to the flooding river a few days earlier, the sea didn’t look as good as it usually is. Have to tell you though, best fish supper we’ve ever had was in ….Dunoon! 🤗
@@BethandPaultravel Next week we are heading to Port Douglas for a week. Ollie and I love travelling too. Hope to get back to Vietnam again when Covid subsides. Want to do Cambodia too. Stay safe.x
Great video, thanks. When I watch your video next week, my family and I will finally be Australian residents and living in your great country after a 4 year wait.
Hervey Bay has to be one of my favourite places to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the beach. Best fish and chips for sure.. Pretty jealous you scored some oysters Paul. Hope you had a lovely day and a safe trip home. 😊
I'm guessing you had fish and chips. Yes I was right. What a beautiful place. Its always tempting to go for a swim when its that hot and lovely. I always love the beach. What a nice bar on the beach front.
Ha ha you guessed right Imogen 😀 The fish was delicious! Usually the water is a magnificent colour blue in Hervey Bay, but the recent heavy rains and subsequent flooding of the Mary River meant it looked a little murky this week…we hope to go back again soon and have a swim next time 🤗
Thanks Teslariffic 🤗 We did a road trip to Airlie 3 months ago and made a couple of videos you might like because our Tesla features in them quite a bit 😊
@@BethandPaultravel Yes, I have watched those videos previously and I subscribed at that time, by the way the weather here in Melbourne has been glorious all this week. 👍
Thanks for another great video. My wife Laura and I have just moved to Queensland from Wales and can't wait to start exploring some of these places. We appreciate all the tips you've given us! :D
Welcome to Queensland Geraint & Laura ☀️We are very excited for you and hope you have lots of fun exploring this beautiful state and the rest of Australia!
This is such a powerful wanderlust video. When I was working in an unfulfilling corporate job, I would sometimes travel just to escape the grind and distract myself from it. It was when I quit that job when I began traveling with purpose. Thank you once again for amazing explores!!!!
As the video started I said to myself "Wonder which chipper Beth and Paul will go to?" love it! Really special place. We were looking at the Sunshine Coast for when/if we get to immigrate, but the house prices made us look further north, so from Hervey Bay to Rockhampton. You guys always have such lovely, real, insights without the "insta" tropes ;)
Hi Karl, ha ha you were right….we we’re always going to have fish n chips 😉 House prices on the Sunshine Coast have gone through the roof in the last 18 months. But, there are nice places further north or west that are a lot more reasonable. On our road trip to Airlie Beach in September, we discovered so many beautiful towns and beaches along the way. We’re going to Bargara and 1770 in March…both beautiful beachside towns 🤗 We’re really happy you’re enjoying our videos 😊
We absolutely love your videos and in particular your beach or hinterland videos. After 3 years we are missing home so very much and the coast is still our true home. Thanks Beth and Paul for keeping us connected even if it does bring a little tear to my eyes.
Hi Intrepid Nurse 🤗 We’re really happy that you’re still enjoying our videos. It’s really nice to hear they make you feel connected to home ❤️ Take Care x
Hi Beth and Paul, we are holidaying in Hervey Bay, it is so beautiful and very hot. Will definitely give Madigan's a try for fish and chips, thanks for recommendation!
Hi Val 🤗 Lucky You! We hope you have a fantastic holiday in Hervey Bay! We had such a nice time there this week. It is very beautiful and it’s hot on the Sunshine Coast too this week ☀️we hope you enjoy your fish and chips as much as we did 😋
Another great video , love the fish & chips part, good to see Paul is one of my type of Fish potato cake & dimmies ( dim sims -a must), beautiful beaches and boardwalks. Philltheflyer
You’ll love whale watching at Hervey Bay….you’re practically guaranteed to see stax of whales! And yes, it was so nice that the rain stopped and we were able to enjoy the sunshine again ☀️
It's so nice to hear how Harvey Bay on the Fraser Coast has a thriving bird and sealife community. Thank you for taking us along. Be Well. Stay Safe. Enjoy your Summer. Sending you lots of love.💖💖. Harriet and Jim from Richmond, Va.
I was going to say egg salad sandwich, but glad you took advantage of the location and tried their fish & chips ! looked super yummy too. Nice vid Beth and Paul.
Thanks @Chilli Dude 🤗 ha ha yes, a crunchy piece of fresh fish trumps an egg salad sandwich every time! We had a great day and glad you liked this one 😊
Hey Fabio 🤗 Thanks for watching our videos! We didn’t see any mozzies when we were there….there might be a few in Summer around sunrise and sunset, but probably no more than anywhere else on the Australian east coast 😉
Wow it looks beautiful there! And yes we did guess correctly with the fish and chips and noticed you'd remembered to ask for it battered... 🙂 We've made a note of that fish and chip shop for when we can finally get to Oz for a hol. Really interesting too about the migration of the birds. We're just about to watch your next vid now!
Hi Julie, due to the very unusual amount of rain that week, the flooded Mary river made the water look a bit murky….it’s usually a spectacular bright blue colour! It’s definitely worth a visit and a great place to see lots of whales in winter. We hope you enjoy the next one….our first trip west of Brisbane to a couple of authentic Queensland rural towns 🤗
@@BethandPaultravel I moved here from Rockhampton years ago its been impossible to live anywhere else :). Though I have had my Eyes set on Noosa for a while. you just cant beat the layout in hervey bay.
Beautiful fish and chips..... errrr... I mean beautiful video! (looks like Paul had a couple of little sausage rolls instead of all fish) The mention of Captain Cook evoked the feeling he and his crew must have felt when they saw that shoreline in the 1770s.
Spelt Hervey, locally pronounced Harvey. Tiaro is tie-ro. Bauple is bopple, also the local name of the Macadamia or Queensland nut, every other house had a Bauple nut and/or Mango tree in the yard.
