Held my breathe there for a second, good job mate. It will slide on easy when you want to put it back on because you have it angled up like that. Looking forward to the reverse video.
Well done Dom !! Get the repair’s done before the river season , nothing more ruins a day of fishing being stuck on the side of the road with a disaster on your hands in 30+ degrees of sun. Take care cheers Geoff 👍😀
Hi Dom. When you put the boat back on. Unhook the trailer from the car and present it to the boat by lifting up the hitch end and pushing as far as you can against the boat. Hook up the winch line and winch the boat onto the trailer letting the trailer roll back under the boat as you winch until the trailer wants to fall down on the hitch. Make sure your jockey wheel is down and once the boat is fully on put on your safety chain and Roberts your relative. It is also easier when removing the boat from the trailer. Gerard not Dianne. Tight lines.
Hay buddy, I was away at Fiji last week, just finished watching Tuesday video and this little mid week surprise. Great work mate keep them coming. Cheers
Dom I found with my boat (similar to yours) when I put it back on the trailer I did it unhooked from the car and the draw bar of the trailer lifts up as it requires and then I just winched it back on, was really easy, then as you winch the trailer pulls back under the boat to the point where the draw bar comes back down
Nice work chicho , I was a bit nervous for you but indaying that you did it perfectly, nice and slow . When is she getting back in the aqua ? Keep well mate 👍
The suspense. Well done mate. I painted my trailer while the boat was still on. I couldn't paint the keel roller rack because of cause the boat was on. Trailer is black and the keel rack is white. I wanted to take the boat off the same as you did but i was too afraid. Now i will give it a shot. Thanks mate 👌
@@FishTuckerMan thanks mate. I ask the boss if i could borrow his tractor tyres that he has laying around the vinyard. He said yes but you can't bring them back. Hahah. I don't need tractor tyres laying around ny house. No room for them
Nice work Dom, I have very similar Dunbier trailer that also needs work- I will try the guy you used in Osborne Park. I am going to try do my lift off the trailer slightly different, I have a two ton engine crane and I think I am going to try and lift the bow up off the trailer with that having the stern resting on tyres and then just drive the trailer out and whack some tires under for taking weight off crane. Stressful stuff for sure, well done doing by yourself… I think I will have a few beers and a mate or two to offer support haha cheers
Bloody good effort mate. Working on your pride and joy whilst trying to film is a massive task. Got some work to do on my trailer as well mate so won't be the last time I watch this vid. Ive got some tyre collecting to do 😄
Hey Dom, my bro in law has learnt from experience to always take the ear muffs off the motor when you aren’t flushing the motor. If you forgot to take them off you will cook the motor really quickly at the boat ramp when you start it up!
Hi Dom great video mate. Question is that falcon your towing/lauch vehicle? I'm asking because I recently bought I 14ft quintrex and I have a falcon the same as yours but I'm concerned that it not be able to recover the boat and trailer from a boat ramp
We had a Brooker V14 many years ago and it was on a “tilt trailer”….how easy it was to launch and retrieve…I also was able to easily remove it from the trailer when I replaced rollers.
Nice dom! id say if you have the extra $$ and time to get it repaired, blasted and re galved. Its actually not that expensive and will last another 10 plus years!
I think I'm going to just build a dollie system with the same riding height as my trailer with a winch and a post at the back and just winch the boat onto the dollie. When done I would just winch the boat back onto the trailer.
Held my breathe there for a second, good job mate.

Thanks alot Gerard! Exactly what Ive got planned👍👍
I used this technique also, it puts a lot less stress on the equipment than trying to winch it on with it locked to the car.
Cheers mate have to get my boat off next week to work on trailer, very helpful
Your welcome mate
Nice one Dom!
Make sure you have the bung out with all that rain 🌧
Looking forward to the finished product! 👌
Haha..yeah they were out, cheers mate👍
You need a tilt trailer Dom! I have one, never use it until you do that 😊
Lol..thanks Mate👍

Hola amigo muy hermosos sus botes, saludos desde Chile.
Hola amigo mucho grazies!

Lol..i did that with the smaller tinnie once...deformed the prop lol👍
Good job Dom…… leave the front nice and high so you can get it back on….!!!!
Cheers Wholls👍
Thanks dom grate video mate 🤙
Thanks alot Doug 👍🍻

Mate these Falcons are built for this 4ltr staright 6 ..strong engines 👍
Nice one could have used the other boat winch with a bridal on you aft cleats and use the other boat winch to pull it off just a thought 😁😁
Thanks Ray..too technical for me mate😁👍

For sure Mark, tilt trailer wouldve been easy 👍
heheh, youtube has everything boaties need lol. that winch rope , hope its on the maintenance list, just saying lol.
Sure is mate..got a new one for the retrieve, cheers👍
Sir....Great video....But have another question. What is the maker of the boat you took off the trailer?
Thanks you!. Quintrex
Nice job done getting the boat off Dom. Wonder what a new trailer is worth, just thinking. Cheers mate👍
Thanks mate!. For my boat prob between 3 and 4k depending on cable brakes if fitted
@@FishTuckerMan Yeah too much money. Look at larger diameter rollers if you can. 👍
Nice bro 🤙🏾🍻
Cheers man🤙
When you put it back on winch the trailer under the boat instead of the boat onto the trailer , if that makes sense
Sure dose Mick, thanks 👍
Nice dom! id say if you have the extra $$ and time to get it repaired, blasted and re galved. Its actually not that expensive and will last another 10 plus years!
Thanks alot Nick! Yeah good idea mate👍
Thanks for the vid mate. Let us know how much the repairs cost! Also, why is there 10,000 ads during this vid? A lot more than usual?
Thanks mate..sorry, I havent had a chance to trim them yet👍
I did my boat just recently, all I did is hook the boat to rope and tied it to the tree, drive trailer forward, works for me 😂
Well done!! If i had a tree Id do the same👍
I think I'm going to just build a dollie system with the same riding height as my trailer with a winch and a post at the back and just winch the boat onto the dollie. When done I would just winch the boat back onto the trailer.
Goodluck mate👍
woohoo first
Cheers mate 👍
Those steel cables for the brakes end up stretching over time and you run out of adjustment very quick even with good brake pads.
Thanks mate..i replaced with new ones
Totally stupid way to take it off the trailer
Thanks for watching
