This is an ultra slick sling-rifle that has real shell ejection designed around half length darts. I'm really blown away by how smooth the operation is and how clean the overall look is. Heaths work has always been this way though, a serious focus on aesthetics with clean function to boot!

The shell-ejection I can take or leave though, unless using a catch-bag.
There were a lot of reasons I wanted shells, but the big one is that it's easy to load, keep loaded, and it is a lot more fun. (Un)surprisingly effective and versatile based off my field tests so far. I tested the inline mag with darts and I could fit... two. So shells are definitely needed there, and I think that there may be some unexpected benefits to using shells like increased accuracy

I've never bought a 3D printed blaster..but this?..This I'll consider quite heavily buying, I love the old west and one of the thing's I'd like to do in the future is get into cowboy action shooting, the fact people are managing to make foam blaster versions of classics like the Winchester repeater..even better than NERF did with the Slingfire (one of my favorite blasters from the Zombie Strike line) is pretty sweet..I'll be keeping an ear out for when the perfect this thing.

I'm still looking for a full length lever action with an internal mag. Love the form factor but half darts are banned in most games I play.
It does make for a good prop though

anyone know what the mechanism is? i ordered a model 1887 off aliexpress and its good quality however i got the non firing model lost in translation. Trying to find a DIY way to shoot it as apart from the lack of a firing mechanism it looks functionally the same. I appreciate any ideas, thanks.
I wouldn't call it a Winchester because of its proportions. I'd rather call it a marlin cause it's barrel isn't long enough.
For those who don't know about marlin you better watch Jurassic world. Chris Pratt used it.

@@demogeymidge2997 the spring thunder is so we'll designed internally, that I wouldn't be able to compete with that, and I see no reason to try to make something that's already so we'll made. That's part of why this is a partnership with gdop. We've been talking about a lever action for more than a year, but he's working on other things and couldn't tackle the design
I was actually think about this the other day, but I was trying to figure out the logistics of using Rival ammo and the tube magazines
Logistically, a rival version of my design could be done... But no promises because there's still a ways to go to get this to market as it is

Honestly, I don't really like shell ejecting blasters. The shells get lost, and picking up darts is hard enough, and now you have to pick up shells too. Plus shells are kinda expensive.
It's fair to say this won't be for everybody. For me the introduction of shells is absolutely worthwhile, and this probably won't be the last I design that uses them

i love it. how is the ergonomics compared to the slingfire? because the slingfire is my favorite primary-class blaster, and i really wanna get one as tuned up as possible. but if this is a thing....i may have to get it. might have to get 2. just...MMMMMM...I want it so bad.
Obviously I've got some skin in the game as the designer... but I think it's a lot better than the slingfire and I like that thing quite a bit.
