Read the labels, many familiar brands now aren't the same as just a few years ago. Prepared foods might be cheap and fill the pantry but they might be bad for us too. Also watch the things like the toothpastes, again big names, cheap prices but they are sold there for a reason, often it's because they are discontinued or have bad reviews for a reason.
I go to Dollar General twice a month. I really like the dollar section, and their vegetables you usually can get them three for two dollars which makes them $.67 per but watch your sale flyers because there is another small grocery store in town called Lowes and their vegetables this week were on sale for $.47 each. I looked greedy because the entire bottom of my cart were cans. I would’ve put them in the flats but there weren’t any. The catchier just laughed and said I’ve been doing this all day and she scanned each one by one! She had an infectious attitude and I didn’t feel so greedy. I wasn’t stocking up for me per se but I do like to help several of the smaller church food banks in the smaller towns around where I live. They are always thankful for canned foods especially vegetables and fruits
Our grocery store had 60 cents off hamburger if you bought a 10 lb. chub it turned out to be $1.99 a lb. I had a full freezer but found room and squished it in there
I add leftover taco meat, a can of hominy, and some chicken broth to the Knorr’s Spanish Rice and make it into a taco soup. It’s my favorite convenience food!
Be careful about bioengineered ingredients in canned foods. I couldn’t find a single Campbell’s can of soup without them at store. Thanks for your videos!
For once in my small town, the new manager that has been here for the past 6 months has done an incredible job keeping our dollar general store stocked and clean. The dollar tree that’s 30 miles from us looks like a bomb went off. I absolutely hate to go shopping there. I stop in there about 2x a month after church and it’s so sad to see how disrespectful some people can be to the stores.
Jeni, you probably already know this, but, taking advantage of that the five-dollar off coupon on Saturdays makes those dollar items a super buy. I have also been getting a 10-dollar off of 40 making it a 25% coupon.

We have 4 Dollar Generals in our area. The best one is the closest to our house (2 miles). I have to look for those Hash browns there, they are good and easy to make. They put their new stock out fairly quickly so the store is easy to walk through and well stocked.
That's a Great haul Jinne, a good mix of items.👍 I know you use the leftover wax from melts for Firestarters, but if you put the dish thingy in the Freezer for 10 minutes, the wax hardens & shrinks slightly, so it pops right out of the dish. Hey June, went to the Augusta store a few weeks ago mid-day and an employee stopped me from going in saying they were cleaning and it was too difficult to have customers in the store while they were doing that. My father shared that he read an article that the city shut them down until they cleaned it up. Very glad because before it looked like a bomb went off! Perhaps word came down from corporate that they all needed to get straightened out. In their defense, getting and keeping staff has been difficult according to their staff. I recently started using their dollar section and stocking up on some of their items rather than spending that extra quarter too. I really like their 1 wax sheets, I think there are 15 or so sheets that are precut and are the perfect size for my bread pans. I've only found a couple of boxes of it, so I am on the look for them. I will get the 5 dollar off on Saturday coupon and go and do my stock up on Saturday and I have recently gotten the 10 dollar off 40, so I made sure that I used that one too. My husband and I went threw the store to see what all we can find for 1 dollar or less. At the end of the summer season they will clearance all the summer decor for 50 to 90 percent off and that is a great time to get seeds for next years planting season or just getting some seeds that you would like to try at a very cheap price.
If you use the digital coupons and especially on Saturdays you can use the $5 off $25 digitals along with other digitals and paper coupons to stretch your $. Thanks for the stock up videos!

I have their app on my phone for the digital coupons. I look through them every few days. Some of them are pretty good,right now there's one for vicks severe cold cough drops for 1.00. They also have the little bottles of good and smart fruit juices and green smoothies,1.00 each. You can reuse the little bottles for bath salts,tinctures,vanilla,etc.

A haul like I make. I like to make my own Spanish rice but I bought some Knorr to make quick tortillas with a can of beans, (that would make a complete protein), or add canned meat. Also, I make 'cantina bowls' with Spanish rice, refried and/or black beans, and whatever else is around, like corn, cheese or cheese sauce, chilis, meats, whatever. I very,very seldom go to Dollar General anymore because they are very unkempt here. What I did find there and stocked upon is Kraft Spaghetti mix, at least,it used to be cheaper there.

My favorite find on the Dollar Aisle has been the moisture eliminators. I need to go back and see what other treasures they have. The one I found them in is not the one I had been to before (which was a lot like your description LOL), but was very well organized and had pleasant and helpful employees.
They are good for those who are bedridden or have difficulty getting into a bathtub. I haven't seen the Yardley ones. I used to wear Yardley English Lavender "perfume" when I was in high school and recently found some bar soap at Dollar Tree. Smells so good!
I know it's a little late for Getting mark downs from thanksgiving But I just got Campbell's cream of mushroom soup for 50 cents a can and other things. After the holidays stores really mark down. They're overstock to get rid of things. So we just have christmas a new year's left over
I bought some of those plastic utensils in the $1 section, and apparently my guys say they are trash. They break easily or they melt when trying to eat warm food. My son eats those pepperoni slices as a snack.
On that Campbell's open & eat soup - the potato soup is my favorite & I'll often toss some sliced smoked sausage in there & top with a little cheddar cheese. It turns that can of soup into a decent meal!! Serve with nice piece of fresh bread & it's even better!!

On Saturdays here in Illinois if you buy anything during week at bottom of recipient you get coupon saving $5.00 when you spend $20. Cilantro and lime rice is delicious with black beans, chicken, cheese and fresh cilantro!
