Extreme Yugi-Oh match against the spirit of the forest where if you loose you get to place worse than the shadow zone
Its such a small detail compared to everything else, but I like how its the weasel card that tells you to play along.

Pretty sure it's a refference to "Super Weasel Kid" from The Hex. But who knows

I have to say, this trailer did a damn good job selling a game, when 95% of the stuff shown. IS ONLY THE FIRST ACT OF THE GAME.

EDIT: It was! "Sacrifices Must Be Made"! Didn't realize it was by the same guy who did Pony Island, super hyped to see it becoming a full game!

This looks phenomenal. Card/puzzle/horror is the mashup I never knew I needed.

Looking back at the trailer now that game is released, I think it's so cool they added in that little snippet of P03 at around 1:07.
Also, Inscryption is a fantastic game.
Played this during the Beta back in October and and it is officially my favorite game of 2021. There’s since been an Endless mode added and it is just plain addicting! I don’t know if there’s potential for a sequel, but this game is worth supporting!

I really love deckbuilders so I'm super hyped for this. Enjoyed the 'prototype' per say, Sacrifices Must Be Made.

You know you're a good game dev when people who've played your last ones are still hungry for more.
Differences I noticed in trailer from maid game (Please do not read if you haven't seen thwme entirety of this amazing game yet):
The marks denoting the race of each card are smaller and less translucent in this trailer
The font for the number of bones a card cost looks different
The cost of the Bat is higher than normal in the trailer
The health of the bullfrog while in hand is 3, an impossible situation in normal gameplay
The bear in the trailer is naturally a 4/4, instead of a 4/6
The strait pack rat is a 2/4, instead of a 2/2
The rulebook safe code lacks the symbol that denotes the code is for the safe
The portrait puzzle features an Adder and a Bullfrog, which would normally be impossible in act 1 as all act 1 portraits feature a normal card and a squirrel ( although this is not true for Kaycee's mod)
The candle that would normally upgrade your smokes to greater smokes is missing
The penultimate scene to the Leshy final fight for act 1 is really different, the stone(?) arch before the boon trials and a large quantity of trees around Leshy's cabin are missing
Act 3 PO3 displays the shark scene from Act 2's second puzzle for Leshy's section
Daniel Mullins games in one sentence:
Pony Island: An arcade game turns out to be a PC from hell.
The Hex: Every video game cliche in a nutshell.
Inscryption: Forest guy kidnaps you so he can play Yu-Gi-Oh.

Sacrifices Must Be Made was fun to play, can't wait to play this one.
This guy is the first game designer that can increase player immersion by breaking it.
Man playing the game jam proof of concept got me excited, seeing this trailer blew me away... I can't wait to play this hopefully next year!

Played through both of your other games and a few of your game jams. While I was playing out Sacrifices Must Be Made, I honestly was hoping for it to be a full game only to find out it would be made into one! Definitely looking forward to it and all of its weird under the surface storytelling.

I never even thought of such a thing as a horror card game, even though those are probably my my two favorite genres! Really excited to try this when it comes out.
I swear, I thought Inscryption was some kind of another overhyped indie-horror, and so I didn't paid attention to it...
Not knowing it was a game by Daniel Mullins was my biggest life mistake
Definitely worth the wait, fr just gave us one of the best characters(in my opinion) of all time(aka P03)

A lot of people are making hand of fate comparisons.
I feel that's a little unfair considering hand of fate's core gameplay is an action game influenced by the cards you collect, never an actual card game.
