Wes is so good at promoting the show. You can see he is genuinely proud of the show and with good reason.
Wes stepped up a little more in the last two years promoting the show and past that, doing some great stuff with Ty on the dynamics of creating results as a team of artists and craft people of various types in a cut-throat but lucrative industry. And Covid gave them the problem of spare time and the two gave the Expanse fans interviews of Ron Perlman and other noted actors telling them how tough the acting profession can be on a person, how the writers room functioned, lots of details for those wanting to be a part of that industry or wanting to understand how behind the scenes, a different reality is assembled... And often, it makes me think Wes also stepped up due to the loss of the great work He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Discussed by the lawyer's NDAs they signed - did helping save and promote the show.
Cas Anvar.
I get the righteous rage directed at him and don't see how the situation could be resolved any way but what happened in the end after the independent investigation found morals contract breaches had happened - but like so many people who are good and admirable in other ways - hard to cheer their downfall.
Will there be forgiveness some day for Anvar? Or is this like the way despotic nations in the past that had no forgiveness built into their culture - ostracized, made outlaw, made a non-person for life?
@@1chrisford not in this industry he won't, image is too important and his actions means he would bring down the image of anything he's attached too. Especially considering how competitive acting is too there's always someone else who can step in to fill your role
He just seems like such a nice dude all round.
You're right. Wes seems proud of the show (and he should because its excellent work). But, you also get the sense that, even if he wasn't in the show, he would still be a huge fan.
What Nadine say is that Amos is so intense, he is freaking scary and then there is Wes, just a big teddy bear. These two ladies though, they were brilliant, time to do a spin off that will give us the rest of the story, surely the Roci will be missed and her crew of misfits.
I loved when Bobbie calls Amos 'pee wee' when he asks about getting a suit like hers.
Yeah I think we should simply refer to Wes as peewee from this point on right?
Seriously though, it's just a shame we didn't get that conversation between Holden and Amos about Bobby where Holden is asking Amos about Bobby's combat capabilities and Amos says..."Well cap, I'm what you call a talented amateur, that there is a professional."
Somewhere on Reddit I read that Amos knows he is a really good amateur at fighting. Yet he can clearly tell that Bobby is a professional killer. Completely on a different league.
@@joperez1980 Amos isn't some rank amateur despite what he might say about himself. That dude can man handle multiple ARMED people at a time and come away with just a bloody nose. While Bobbie is a professional soldier and very tough in her own right, Amos in the show would undoubtedly be able to pick her up like a bunch of grapes and chuck her across the room.
The books likely have a different outcome since Amos there is a lot older and worn down but Wes Chatham is a physical specimen lol
@@icyrazor Bobby is bigger and even tougher in the books, she's literally 6'2 220+ in books.
That said however, if you're watching the bonus shorts on xray, you already know that Bobby can manhandle Amos pretty easily lol
Bobby is a marine trained to kill and die fighting, where Amos is a maniac and a murderer. Both are pretty dangerous.
I really enjoy the vibe of the aftershow. Feels very casual and authentic, not overly produced, and free flowing.
same here, Wes and Ty do really good here I wish this kind of aftershow be for other shows I like, they dont have Wes or Ty though ;)
"Feels very casual and authentic, not overly produced, and free flowing." Chatham's enthusiasm is contagious. I think the feel of the aftershow is also only possible because the whole show is a work of art, and every moment on screen is a separate work of art. There's so much of genuine interest to talk about that every episode feels like they're just scratching the surface.
@@maineskeptic5887 I love this show; it’s so fucking good.
"we are not really talented but we are really nice" hahahahah and yet you made the best science fiction show of the decade!
Ever*
@@sonneh86 Do not underestimate Babylon 5. CGI is budget 90s but the story is phenomenal. There's also the BSG remake.
@@paulmichaelfreedman8334 Will check it out!
thats how far real passion for the project can take you
Bobbi's lost her innocence when she realized how corrupt the universe is, the whole Mars collapse thing. Her character is really great.
Nadine and Frankie are great, as are their characters (and the rest of the cast and crew). The show is fantastic, and I hope we someday get the last three books adapted for the screen with the same quality. At least we get these discussions to go with the six episodes of this final season. Can't wait to hear more from Dom, Steven, Shohreh, Cara, or any other cast members. It's also great getting insight from the writers, directors, etc.
Thank you Ty and Wes for doing this every week and covering all of the previous episodes. You guys need more visibility.
The Expanse is probably the best sci-fi show of all time.
It is well made and can still grow, however Battle Star Galactica is still the best.
It is the best show
It is great. I don't like to say which one is better but, Stargate SG1 and Battlestar Gallactica come to mind.
agreed
no, but it is one of the best
NN mentioned David Strathairne and Ashford ... was totally amazing. Of all the characters DS and Cara Gee really make me believe they were Belters. They were fabulous together.
for sure, love ashford and drummer, especially how cara portrayed the shows version of drummer thats basically an amalgam of bull, michio and a couple other characters from the book and I didnt even notice the first time i watched the show
Great show. Amos personality is awesome. Bobby is a fav' character, a tall glass of kick butt.
Wes Chatham makes me feel like such a nerd for watching the aftershow. Like, he's just a few levels too cool for all this, and yet he owns it.
I'm so excited that Frankie is working with Sigourney Weaver! I don't know what the project is, but I plan to watch it.
Alien prequel no doubt.
Two space badasses together.
It's called "The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart" and is about as far from "Alien" as you can get. Basically it's a mysterious orphan story.
@@Prestodigital Science fiction is my go-to genre, but I like mysteries as well. I love these two actresses, so I'm looking forward to it!
I absolutely love the actors that have brought this show to life. Every single one of them seem to be just genuinely nice people who understand and appreciate the unique experience that they shared.
if I was in the world of The Expanse I would NEVER give Bobby any backchat.
Cheaper than a dentist.
Frankie Adams is amazing. Few actors could have pulled off that contrast of toughness and empathy, strength and vulnerability. She's a truly beautiful badass. The interaction of her character with Wes' character is perfection (and fun as hell).
To paraphrase - Holden comes into chew Peaches out for not following orders, Amos is showing some concern and looks on while Peaches is smiling the entire time. Holden leaves, and she mentioned that is the first time he called me part of the crew. -- For me Best part of the episode.
This is amazing. Such great passion for the show.. We need season 7!
Such a great show and a perfect cast to fill it in. It's been fun to be a fan and have passion about a show and its characters. I will miss it when it's over.
Thanks to amazon and the cast of the expanse for all the work they did. It's a very good show.
Just finished watching the Expanse. (For the second time. Truly brilliant. Will defintly watch again after a short break.
Love Peaches, she did a great job! Wes is the best!
I love Frankie's character. I wish Amazon would make some souvenirs of the show with the crew shown individually on shirts, posters etc.
I'm gonna miss this show when the finale hits.
Amos: Where do I get one of those suits?
Bobbi: You couldn't handle it Peewee!
Best line in the episode. I really love the Bobbi Draper ( Frankie Adam ) ... and that incredible accent! So happy to see her on the Roci.
Excellent cast, excellent storyline, excellent depth and perspective, excellent editing and so on. This series has so much going on that Star Trek, Star Wars etc. are simply parked on the sideline way back down the line. I bought the books and rank The Expanse on top of my sci-fi list. Each series has its own features and plots, but The Expanse lives in its own category- totally unmatched. A true classic and masterpiece.
love the show, love the aftershows. Thanks guys.
Oh, it sounds like there's gonna be a bonus segment featuring Amos and Bobby. Looking forward to that. :D
Pretty sure it's an X-Ray feature in the web browser only. It's not listed as a bonus video.
@@magiwebdesign3849 I can watch it on my phone
@@magiwebdesign3849 It will be released with a later episode. They already did bonus videos with Drummer and Avasarala for episodes 1 and 2.
I'm from the future and it's the X-Ray for episode 3. And it's amazing :D
@@CristanMeijer "remember when Earth had a blue sky" that one hit hard
I really love the filming crew feeling of synergy of all doing their best to do this and the commitment and being a part of this for long time and... it do matter, results are "at the top of the sphere" like i will never forget Amos look at the earth leaving it again like being done with the planet or Avasarala strong "I will no take part of this" moment from season 5. You guys do soo much good work done that other shows miss is incredible. Like now, the sample of exaustion after some time in a war can be felt by a viewer almost all the time (from both protagonist and antagonist), this is amazing immersing experience. Thank you all for putting this much effort into this, it is a pretty good ride :)
The Expanse honestly may be the best book and show series of the decade in the sci-fi genre hope they continue the series past season 6 and cover the rest of the book series.
FAN #7 HERE: There is no doubt that EP 6-02 is high action at a rapid pace. It was great to hear how Nadine and Frankie look at their growth arc. Lastly, Nadine is just stunningly beautiful !!
So glad the x-ray content was mentioned. I wasn't aware of it. If you ask me, it's critical viewing. I hope there are much more of those. Please release as many as possible. They add beautiful subtext and deepen the dimension of the characters, including supporting cast. Love all these Aftershows; y'all are wonderful and relatable! I will miss The Expanse terribly when it concludes. I intend to watch it another time through.
I loved all 5 shorts. They were wonderful
No wonder the show is so good. These actors are awesome people. Can't wait for more of The Expanse universe!
I still can’t get over how radiant Frankie is.
When Frankie said "sweet pea" and the look on his face - that was a great seen. The other one was when Nadine said "it's the first time he called me one of the crew".
She said "pee wee" not "sweet pea"..... although she did technically call him pretty beforehand
@@garrettously3605 pee wee - oh ok I guess that makes more sense
So enjoyable to watch these aftershows for the best show
Thank YOU for THE BEST SF show EVER!
These are great after shows. Keep it up!
Normally hate these sort of things till season end, but man some awesome people really loving the show they're in. Extra loves to Frankie from NZ =]
Wes is really amazing at the craft of acting. A true thespian. Amos comes off as such a Troglodyte but Wes is more like Einstein or Mozart.
Can’t wait to follow him after the Expanse.
7:30 It is very well explaoned when Bobby meets Clarrisa on the Rocci. After the exchange, and Amos leaves, Holden tells Bobby "Amos trusts her, and I trust Amos, and thats all there needs to be said. This is my Ship, and My crew"
This show is the best one ever. I don't want it to end
yeah it definately grew to same for me, but I did got these voices from my friends they tried it for few first episodes ond dropped I don't know why do you have same exp?
Thanks to Peaches for saving Draper!
This last episode was one of the best in the whole series.
Really great!
That scene of NN being overcome by the reality of facing death again ... was really awesome and well done.
Absolutely love this!
Love you Guy's, keep up the great work....
No matter who's around, Bobby is alpha! That's why Clarissa just had to risk everything to save her.
Team Frankie
Amazing show, made by awesome people!
Every character is amazing, even if we dont like them, or hate them its because of the amazing writing and great acting.
Bobby Draper needs to be the new female super hero. Bobby and Amos could be an incredible team, if they didn't...
They already made a great team although standing on different sides throughout the ring gate fight
@@aaronk2792
The novel has them teaming up together, and against each other. They are epic, together.
I love this show soooo much!!!
Yo, Wes. Making something that makes a difference? Mission accomplished. Yo Frankie and Nadine...YUM!
awesome actors awesome show! thanks! the Ladies rule this show!
I love these people!
@Ty thanks for explaining the Peaches/Bobby scene. Honestly I had to watch that scene 3 times and once in slow motion until I understood what happened. I think the scene was just "too fast". If there is such a thing. Didn't come out OK on first viewing. The scene is like 3 seconds and then there is some explanation after the fact which ties it up, so it's not the end of the world.
Yeah, I think they made this scene a little bit too streamlined, I also had to rewatch several times until I even understood that the 3rd guy was coming at them from a different direction and was about to shoot bobby in the back. Also, the rocket launcher did just seem like a normal rifle, so that was also not visually helpful.
Hey, anyone else on EST get the episode drops before midnight on Fridays?
There is something about Nadine that pushes her to a 10 on a 10 scale.
Whoever made the editing decision to cut Nadine's scene in the fight on the AZ was wrong. It happened way too fast and it wasn't clear what had actually happened. The same editing decisions meant the space battle at the end of season 5 was confusing without watching it multiple times in slow motion.
It's quite obvious that the current season is being produced under tight budget constraints and it's starting to show.
You have delivered a work as great as the protomolecule's.
This Show must go on!
Amazon, shoot more seasons, maybe a few movies, we are looking forward to it!!!
thanks to Wes
✝️Merry Christmas The Expanse🇺🇸✝️
Love these kids.
Chrisjen is my fav character
When the Churn happens three best people to have in the mix are Bobbi, Amos, and Melba.
Bobbie Draper is a badass; that fight against a hybrid was amazing. This show has many great characters. And the space warfare scenes are thrilling. Despite Peaches misguided view and terrible crime, she is a relatable character; her motivations and circumstances were understandable, probably why Amos related and understood.
How do i see these X-Rays? I dont see them on the show page on prime video. Are they not available in my area (australia) ?
Let’s no forget that Clarissa tried to kill Naomi to get to Holden. I do love that you can still root for Clarissa. To me Bobbie and Naomi are the most badass. Naomi doesn’t need a gun and Bobbie kicks butt with little effort
💯%agreed...Naomi and Bobbie are the best. Both are very badass powerful characters. I don't think Naomi get proper respect for all she does.
@@camillacollins1324 she doesn’t because people like loud ones not the quiet ones
To undersrand the world and humans you need to watch 3 Scifi shows, The Expanse, B5 and DS9, fact that The Expanse is on same level like DS9 /B5 is compliment enough for this great show.
Loved the episode and really enjoyed the aftershow. Bobby joining the Rocinante was what I have been waiting for ever since her introduction. She is intimidated by nobody, and especially shows Amos that she can handle him. I don't want this to be the last season :(
By the way, anyone watch the bonus episode featuring Avasarala. Could anyone read what was on her medical report? *worried*
'Director's Cut'?! - yes please 🙏
Why can't I see this XRAY thing on my iMac Desktop, or my ROKU ?
NOOOOOO I don't want the show to end!
you could all just retire now?!?!!?!?! please don't, we can't wait for The Expanse: The Next Generation :D
Amos was asking some good questions!
Watching this makes it seem like the actors all become psychologist examining the characters flaws and strengths and the they have to internalize those things and act them out. It's not an easy job is it?
I was in "Awe" when I heard Amazon gave them extra money to film short segments (which I have not seen anywhere yet.) and they only filmed 6 episodes. The comment by Ty on the part where Peaches saved Bobbie, and she Puked in the Helmet. This was the most confusing to me as it happened so fast, I had to stop and rewind and play a few times to figure out what happened. It was not until later when Amos told Peaches... "You saved Bobby" that I understood what happened. I'm sorry, but this is not The Expanse I remember. It's bad I have to come to youtube to understand what I just saw. I would like to see what is on the "Cutting Room Floor"...
I know I'm late to this party, but can anyone tell me what Frankie / Bobbie's shirt says? "with ?????"
NADINE is so attractive holy moly
Amos and Bobbie are the two best characters on the show and this is because of not only the writing, but the acting abilities of Mr. Chatham and Ms. Adams.
Where can you find these X-ray videos?
Under "Bonus Content" while the episode is playing.
@@butchs.4239 I tried that but all I saw was photos, no videos. ???
@@mizgracie872 So they don't show up on most tvs. However if you access it via the pc browser it should be there. It's really bad design from amazon.
Just a top-notch episode guys, loved it. Bobby was as bad-assed as I hoped her to be 🔥😎😍
for anyone else wondering 45 pounds is 20 kilos OMG... crazy!
and lol i didnt know the vomit was cgi
After all the attention to detail the show puts into real world physics, you'd think that Frankie Adams being in Australia should look upside down.
Chatham is made of charm. I have such a crush on Nicole.
Where are these videos in the xray?
Frankie is the best👍👍👍❤❤❤
❤️
💪💪💪💪
Absolute disgrace the expanse is not continuing to more seasons
😮💛
Nadine Nicole was good in "Casual".
Frankie is just a gorgeous woman.....
Bobby is my fav character in Expanse next is Chrissy
I love the show the Expanse. Amos is my favorite character. Does what I feel. Why can’t Amazon get off some cash and give these guys a proper studio to do these videos. It’s fun hearing their views and I wish Amazon would provide them with some studio flare and better presentation. This is one of the only shows I watch on Amazon. I hope these characters get work on other shows. Because they are really good.
Please tell me that Frankie Adams is going to be in the next Alien thing?
What does Frankie’s shirt say? With,……? :)
the Expance: "a ton of money went into making CGI Vomit"
I think Amos is showing amazing restraint as Bobbie continues to tease him, in an earlier season he would just responded to the very first tease by wiping the floor with her.
Thats not it all. Amos has the natural instinct to sense dangerous people, and understands that Bobby Would beat him. Amos is uncontrolled chaos, which works in the environments he has been in. Bobby is controlled chaos, where her training can focus the chaos. He states this in this book - He is a talented amutuer, She is a trained professional.
If you can see this, you're awesome. Stay safe out there everyone.
Of course, only Expanse fans would be seeing this.
No, no, no. I’m not awesome. You are awesome…
At least in your own way.
Ay thanks homie. Right back atcha 😂
Why is Frankie not in the thumbnail
