After 13 years of using autotune i finally found the sauce to getting that dope tuned vocals....step 1
Listen to your verse with autotune on and find which key and scale goes well with it....step 2 use autotune in graph mode and manually tune your vocals from there....step 3 make a vocal chain that suits your music style and voice
I forgot to mention that you can add another autotune(not graph mode/normal) to give you that extra autotune sound

@@CharlesGreggo yeah you can use it as pitch correction to fine tune your vocals and add autotune afterwards
@@STXTIC_GXNGYou can also do this for the reverse effect, I like using Melodyne first for a more natural sounding vocal, this is where rough corrections are made. Then add Antares on after as a polish, and it gives it that ear candy effect. When I first started using Antares I remember thinking this was what some of my production chains are missing. It's all how you learn to use it though, just because I think Antares is better doesn't mean someone can't get great results with WavesTune i.e. I used WavesTune and it's easier in the beginning to get a decent sound, but I found Melodyne was definitely better for natural sound.

As someone that use to record off band lab with just a mic and Apple earbuds I Just bought fl studio and bought a lot of stuff to make my in room studio and just know your vids really help a lot like the music I record on fl sounds so crispy but I haven’t released any songs I recorded on fl yet lol

good video, but you could do the graphical editing in autotune pro aswell. Also pitcher and newtone are unfortunately only included in signature bundle and up (I mean you can use them but then you cant close and open the project yada yada)

The more I dig into this auto-tune world the more I see that only rappers are using it and not actual high pitched singers... It's almost always in low key music...

Great video! I would personally say though I think Auto-Tune sounds a lot better than NewTone's automatic ability and Pitcher! So if you want to do a trial on it you can test it out and see if it's what you're looking for!

How come when i layer vocals/do adlibs over vocals both with autotune on, it clashes when theyre playing at the same time and makes it almost sound out of key or something? Im making a remix to this song called Purse Full by Gogettakb ill provide a link and as u can hear sometimes the second guy raps adlibs at the same/similar times when the vocals are playing skip to 1:18 and it sounds good but when i do it it sounds bad and the adlibs clash i dont understand it?

I’ve actually used both, I used Waves Tune before I got Antares and I’d say Antares is way worth it. Waves tune is a good alternative but if you want that autotune to sound as crisp and clean as possible than I’d go for Antares

This might be a dumb question but how do you know if you should choose alto/tenor or low male for the auto tune?
Depends on your voice and performance. If you have a really deep voice or recording setting it to low male might help. Otherwise just leave it as it's. I never found that setting to be changing much anyway.
Those settings are really just a high pass filter. The lower you set it the more of your sound gets auto-tuned. The safest bet is low male or instrument.

You can either buy it or buy a monthly subscription which is like 20-30$ a month but with all the free presets out there that you can get with this program I definitely can say it's worth the money either way you purchase it
