- Autotune Pro has so many amazing features, but it can be hard to know exactly what they’re all doing. In this Autotune Pro tutorial we dive deep and crack that code to understanding Autotune in a whole new way. Master Retune Speed, Flex Tune, & Humanize to get perfectly in tune vocals every time.
Im going to show you how to get natural sounding tuning from Autotune, without having to do it all manually. Yes - you CAN use "auto" mode and get natural vocals!

Elite autotune tutorial. Thanks for making me sound human
Anytime! Truth is - you don’t need any autotune, but that makes for a good tutorial demo because I can count on it snapping to the right notes 🙌🏼
In Antares's original RUclips channel, FLEX TUNE was described as "creating no man's land between scale notes" So it is your "don't do anything area" and when it is 100% you basically tell algorithm to don't do anything. They said they designed it for Natural Vibrato setting. Because when Natural Vibrato was too deep, algorithm were tuning the Vibrato rather than leaving it. So when you create a "forbidden area" with FLEX TUNE setting algorithm allows Natural Vibrato to happen.
I wonder how to use autotune when singing with just intonation.
this is probably the best explanation of autotune i’ve ever seen on youtube, I’ve been using the knobs in many different ways but know that i can actually see the work that it’s doing by using the graph option, i can REALLY start using autotune right.Thank you very much,I think you’ll help more people than you believe ❤️
Thank you SO much for this positive feedback! That's exactly what I was hoping to achieve by making this video. Before I dove in and did this analysis I was also just turning knobs and hoping I was doing the right thing lol! I know this video swings a bit more technical than most so I really appreciate you watching. Thanks!
Agreed!!! Great job.
Thanks so much!!
Once again, great video dude. With the melodyne tutorial and this, vocal tuning has become very easy and natural sounding. Would love a video from you on compressor attack and release settings and how they affect dynamics. Keep it up man.
Thanks so much for watching and for the video suggestion! Could definitely do some compression and dynamics videos!
what a champ! you've broken them down so beautifully, every bit of it was concisely precise. Apparently, it's the best tutorial I've gotten. I'd love to learn more about the advanced parameters too. Thank You🙏
Thanks so much for positive feedback! That’s so kind. I’m definitely due for another autotune video soon and happy to cover the advanced parameters!

I just got a Headrush Prime guitar board and it has AutoTune for vocals as well. I’ve played around and found something that works, but had no idea what was going on. Your video really helped me understand what’s going on. Thank you! Now I’m going to go fix or rework the settings.
That’s awesome! Thanks so much for sharing. I always appreciate the feedback and so happy you found the video helpful. Also - I must check out this Headrush pedal! Is it like a multi fx processor?
@@MichaelWuerth It’s mostly a guitar modeler board, but it also has some vocal processing like Antares Autotune.
Great and great..many thanks

I dont know what to buy Autotune or Melodyne?
Please advise
Thanks so much!
@@MichaelWuerthI edited my comment above
Thanks
Honestly depends on your needs, style of music, etc. I have a video covering some of that which I'll link too. Eventually, you may find that you need both. I often use Melodyne first to tune it all manually, and then layer Autotune on top bc it gives it a cool vibe and sound

@@MichaelWuerth Michael, I dint know
I have been a musician for 40 years, playing the guitar, but recently started using FL Studio, a d want to start recording people.
Some if my mixes are on my channel.
I dont have any confidence tho, and recently lost my job
Bro, so for what i see, theres no difference between 30 and 100 in humanize?
I didn’t see much change from 30-100 in this specific example, but could be different with a more complex note or something with more movement. I’ll have to experiment more!
Hi Micheal hope doing good bro..i have 1 confusion can i use more than 1 Auto tune plugin! I mean Autotune pro & Auto tune Artist for my 1 vocal track?
I’m not sure! If you’re able to load both at the same time then you should be able to. But if you have autotune pro you can add more than one instance to the same track.
@@MichaelWuerth Thank u bro

Hey can u tell me about the detune being at 440 and what does it do ?
Yup! So, 440 is the frequency for the note A that is used as a reference for tuning instruments like pianos, guitars, violins, and in this case vocals. By saying A=440 autotune knows where to place every other note. We can change that reference frequency up or down for slight tuning variations based on the rest of the song.
Generally you’ll want to leave that at 440 unless you know that the song you’re working on was tuned to a different frequency
How did you add the autotune into fl once you installed it??
I don’t use FL but you’ll want to check that it’s in the vst folder on your computer and might have to refresh the vsts within FL.
Hey! I installed the Autotune plug in and when I insert it on my vocal track in Ableton my voice stops from sounding but the other instruments continue as normal. If I add the autotune into the mixer, then ALL instruments stop sounding and only silence remains. I haven't find any explanation to this issue yet, so I hope someone can help me and let me know how can I solve it !
I’m sorry - I don’t use ableton so unfortunately I can’t help you personally. Hope you find a solution!
For a second I thought you had autotune on your voice as you were speaking
Ha! No. Just monotone I guess 😞
@@MichaelWuerth it’s when you extend your vowels, for some reasons it sounds as if you have autotune applied to your voice…
i dont see import auto. and screen keep scrolling right I hate it. ;/
Thank you bro!
