weird-- mine was in program files,, not program files 86. Otherwise, did all you said and then when I went to enable, said, failed to register. It won't work.

Even without GSnap, Audacity already gives you some of the same features. However, you have to do a lot of the work manually as opposed to GSnap doing it automatically. You can highlight a certain part of your recording and change the pitch to whatever key you want it in by clicking "effects", then clicking "change pitch". You can go up a full octave, or down a full octave one half step (semi-tone) at a time. It's more time consuming, as you might have to highlight a little at a time. Like, one word, or possibly even one syllable of a word at a time. GSnap is for people like me, who couldn't carry a tune in a bucket and need all the help I can get. But, if you can already sing, you can use all of the default effects Audacity comes with to fine tune your voice. Eg. change pitch, compression, reverb, etc.

great tutorial. However, there is an easier way to get to the plug-ins folder in my opinion.
What you do is
1. Press Windows + R (or search run in windows)
2. type %appdata%
3. press OK
4. Click audacity
5. go to the plug-ins folder
This is an easier and faster way to get to the folder. Just letting others know

I have a problem that idk how to fix. I enabled Gsnap, and yes I check it was enabled, but Audacity kept closing and everysingle time I tried to open Gsnap, it didn't open. Audacity just kept crashing.

I did it by accident the first time i edited the voice file then i tried to twist the knobs a little but I lost it. TIA

I followed the tutorial, but when I get to the Plug-ins list (In the Audacity program) Gsnap is grayed out. When I enable it, it stays grayed out. Please help!

“Gimme The Prize” is probably my favorite Queen song just because of how *powerful* the vocals are. I know that Freddie absolutely hated the fact that it damaged his voice because of how high the notes were, but thats what makes the song so good. It sort of almost has a metal vocal style due to its pure aggression and sound of anger. Great track.

Be sure with Audacity to checkmark "Allow Clipping" when using the AMPLIFY effect (on the Amplify popup window). Must be an update in versions that asks for this setting to be check marked before increasing amplification as it wasn't asked for when this video was made but Audacity is asking for it to be check marked now when increasing volume.

I think the version of GSnap depends on your computer. The 32-bit version don't work on mine but the 64-bit does.
