    Excellent vid! That was some ultra-small wind swell. I am amazed that you could get on foil in those conditions! I will have to try that. Sub'd

      Thanks! Was hoping conditions were going to build but did the opposite. It was a good workout

    Holy shit! I've seen some of your other videos, but somehow missed this one which is unbelievable! You must have unreal skills to finish that run with the wind tanking.
    This makes me think that with hard training, DW on Lake Champlain is totally doable without it having to be blowing more than 20 mph. I have the rest of the summer to work on this! Now just have to drop another couple thousand on a rig. Thanks for the inspiration!

      Thanks. Downwinding sure is a adventure. Conditions constantly change, a commitment once you have left. All part of what makes it fun.

    You're the man, that is so light! I'm gonna remember this next time I think its light here on Maui.

    A lot of people still think it’s impossible in those conditions. So cool to see

    Great video! I always wondered if people are doing Downwinders in the Great Lakes. You're the first person I've seen do it now. Impressive that you got and stayed going on your lift 1300cm foil wing. Here at my local 7-9 mile bay run, I use a 2200 cm foil mostly when SUP Foil DW.I just want to cruise and pump as little as Possible. I will use my 1300cm foil if its really nuking winds. I just dId a couple runs on a new revolutionary high aspect glider wing. My mind is blown on it. The lift and glide on it is unbelievable.

      Thanks Lance. I’ve been following your RUclips been enjoying it! Think this upcoming winter going to build a board. The downwind potential on the Great Lakes is huge! This season I plan on doing some big runs when the conditions are good. Weather is warm enough now. If you are ever in the area let me know. I’ll show you a good time regardless of water conditions. I got all the bases covered.

      What was the new glider wing?

    • @Lanceisoutside
      @Lanceisoutside Год назад +2

      @@87chacha a gofoil prototype wing. Very low stall speed. Can pump and glide forever in good or not good conditions.

    Do you know your average and top Heart Rate during your session? If you started out and it was 10 kts would you have choosen a different Foil? Thanks for taking the time to post your run. Inspiring ;)

      Over 1:08 time my average was 150 bpm, max 166. I should have used a larger foil, I think lift 200 HA would have made it easier forsure.

    What size and volume is your board and your weight? Looking good in the small and lite conditions

    How far from shore do you usually cruise at?

    • @michaelpisarczyk6465
      @michaelpisarczyk6465  Год назад

      1km? Usually try and stay parallel to shore…. Going to do some bigger runs. I’m sure I’ll be going further out. Looking forward to sharing.

    I don’t get it. My guys are saying it’s impossible to downwind off the coast of Southern California. Yet you’re doing it on Huron. What am I missing?
