- If you didn't know, turret stratagems (this is specifically about the Autocannon Sentry as well as the HMG emplacement) can be thrown in a way that it is more optimal - kills more enemies, doesn't die as quick.

Now that's good to know and all, but we all know the optimal sentry placement is to yeet the Stratball as high and as far as possible. Wherever it lands, nobody knows. If it turns around and shoots you, then it's because you've been thinking traitorous thoughts and deserved it.
Me with mortar sentries. Prep ball, sprint, dive, throw, then wait for the accidentals
Love the halo music with this.

I was so ready for some cool tech about how to make your turret focus bile titans or chargers and not try to kill the small bugs. :( i hate the turret AI 80% of the time it focuses a small bug that's 100 meters away when there's a fucking bile titan 30 meters away
that, and the stupid firing logic for some of them. why does the autocannon turret fire in a 3 round burst, wastes so much ammo.
I'm pretty sure this depends on what kind of turret it is. Gatling turrets prioritize smaller enemies because they can't actually damage the larger once. But I believe the autocannon turret will focus larger enemies like chargers and bile titans.
@@harrisonclark3799this can be immediately disproven by playing the game and using mix of turrets in a fight. ive had gatlings expend their entire ammo reserve on a single charger, and ive watched autocannon turrets waste their 3 round bursts on single scavengers. it WOULD be nice if they did have proper target prioritisation as you say though
@@warhound45I think all turets have sane AI, only difference is with the missile one, as it at least is supposed to be targeting the large targets
Bring a gatling gun and deploy alongside the autocannon, it compliments it by quickly wasting the small targets which allows the autocannon to focus on the targets that don't die.
Wish the lubricant upgrade included the HMG
we need more mounted gun emplacements! the hmg doesnt get enough love for how cool it is
@@BlackoutBlakeOfficialYT imo, whenever we get APC's I really, really hope we can drop our Emplaced Weapons on top of it to adapt during mission. That paired with the datamined (not confirmed) Emplaced Heavy Flamethrower would be siiiiiiick
@@BlackoutBlakeOfficialYT We need 1. a mounted laser, 2. a mounted explosive cannon and 3. a mortar emplacement where you target using the radar. If we get those I'll be a happy helldiver for eternity.
Also, tesla turrets will friendly fire your other turrets, which sucks.
"This place isn't big enough for the two of us"
Had to find out the hard way..
good thing i got the faster turn radius on my turrets : D
They kill team mates much faster
That is pretty good information honestly
Ah, thanks for confirmation. I dropped autocannon sentry in front of me, when I was running away from mass horde of bugs, only for it to be facing wrong way and get destroyed before it even turned 180°
The traverse upgrade is essential if you plan on using a lot of sentries. The autocannon is basically a one-way weapon without it, and the gatling snaps to targets so fast that it can erase entire bug breaches all by itself.
Between that and a stalwart? You have become death, ruiner of all things soft and squishy. (Also that teammate who run directly Infront of your gatling and respawned to teamkill you.)
As a diehard HMG user, I've found the best success in using EMS or Gas Strike to buy time for the deployment. Strafing Run also works well to clear out the immediate area as the HMG hits the ground.
Your videos remind me a lot to what Zullie the Witch does for the Souls franchise. Tossing in tidbits of useful information or lore in compact little videos like these.
I find this utterly wonderful, im subscribing!
Uh oh, he's running out of material
does the HMG emplacement benefit from the turning speed that high-quality lubricant gives?? i NEED TO KNOW
No, it does not.
@@iprfenix :(
This comes in pretty handy when you need to yeet yourself across canyons with the autocannon sentry XD
Good to know, though I usually like to throw sentries fairly far away from the action, usually trying to get as much range out of them as possible.
Not certainly in that way. He looks towards the line connecting the player and the landing site. There are two checking options:
Throw the first one vertically upward and overtake.
Second, throw it at the wall so that it ricochets away somewhere else.
in both versions it looks like the one described above.
Uf you play a heavy weapons build and you prioritize rhe chargers and biles, you can do some serious work
I'm pretty sure the HMG turns faster if you move your mouse around slower, keeping your aim inside the fast aim area, instead of getting out of the general aiming area.
first
This applies to hellbombs, but the "front" of the hellbomb is the keypad to arm it.
And you gotta protect the sentry for maximum efficiency. Its gonna pull aggro and give you a breather the longer its active.
also the hellbomb's entry pad will be on the opposite side of you
when I'm using the hmg emplacement sometimes it turns fast and sometimes it turns incredibly slow, not sure what was going on I only got to use it a couple times
The HMG emplacement locks on "fast" when you only aim a little bit off where it is currently aiming at, if you go too far with your 'view' in any direction it takes longer to adjust. Ideally, you'd want to "stagger" changing your aim/view step-by-step to keep this fast-aiming going.
it has a double base. its slow to turn large angle but snappy in small movements
Aiyo what!?!?!
I see, So do a 180 then throw.
Love sentry!
What I wouldn't give to have the HMG deploy facing me if I threw it while sprinting: hurl it ahead and by the time it lands pointing right where I came from, I can hop on and unleash UNRELENTING FREEDOM on the pursuing horde...

Handy info
They also have a habit of bouncing off any logical position for an emplacement (outcrops and hills) but sitting pretty in the worst possible
I think it's important to peel for your turrets, especially before they deploy. Charge at the bugs and keep them from surrounding your guns' drop points so they have clearance and draw bot fire away from them by locating your guns away from your cover or drop a deployable shield on them!
Another thing when a sentry is firing make sure you prone while its firing in order to avoid it shooting you
Thanks for the tip. I just started using the auto cannon sentry and was wondering what I was doing wrong.
I love the turrets in this game
FINALLY, A TIP I ALREADY KNEW.
tanks
Turrets are garbage and waste of slot
A fully upgraded gatling sentry will whip around at a target in an instant.
