Definitely glad for the info of this video but be prepared for some bloody knuckles and definitely some swearing.
@@matthewhostert4126 unfortunately I ended up having challenges with the switchbacks. Was getting hyperflash inside the truck and couldn't get them to function correctly. Ended up returning them after trying 3157 and 7443 size bulbs. Maybe @Headlight Revolution can offer a solution to this as I was really hoping to complete the look

Drive a 2016 Ford F150 Bulbs do not work, hyperflash in dash. From video install video said the LEDs would work without a resistor or anything else while using the OEM wiring alone. Definitely did not work after plugging in and testing. The dash turning signal arrows were hyperflashing. That's it. LEDs did not produce any illumination. I will be returning these unless there is an explanation on why this happened.
I just bought it and has the same issue. Did you figure it out? I’m still undecided if I should return them. It’s just my passenger one though. I flipped the bulb also.
Ok. I'm a very mechanical person and build my own motors. I have built many hotrods and while the bulbs are very bright and seem like great quality (time will tell), the installation is NOT as easy as the video would lead you to believe. 1) First of all there is an adjustment on the S.V-4 bulbs that takes a very small allen wrench to loosen a set screw on the bulb collar itself which in turn allows the collar cam sleeve to be rotated or slid forward or backwards. This information is critical to know and would have been really easy to include in this video from HR. On our 2016 F150 and 2017 F150 we ran into the same issue on both trucks where when installing the new bulbs and turning them to lock, they would NOT cam over and lock into place without loosening the set screw, adjusting the collar and reinstalling. It's simply a matter of trial and error as to where the collar should be on your truck but we found that keeping the allen screw at approximately 7oclock (when looking at the rear of the bulb) and sliding it forward on the collar about .025 was the sweet spot to allow the bulbs to seat against the o-ring and still cam over to tightly seat in the headlight housing. This may not seem like a big deal but when you are working on the upper (low beam) bulb you cannot see what you are working on and must do this by feel if you follow HR instructions of removing the two 5.5mm bolds and body pin. So here is some help for you. 2) On the drivers side, open the hood, take out the two body pins holding the front edge of the air intake to the front radiator shroud. Then remove the one large bolt holding the air box to the drivers side fender. Disconnect the MAP sensor from the box as well as the two small white clips holding the map wiring to the air box. Loosen the band clamp that holds the air intake tube to the air cleaner box and remove the entire airbox by lifting straight up to overcome the two rubber grommet posts in the bottom of the box. With the airbox out of the way you have easy access to the upper (low beam) light and you are not bending your arm like a circus clown contortionist. 3) For the passenger side, dont even bother with taking off the wheel well liner. Remove the headlight!!! It's easy and once it's out the installation of the bulbs takes literally three minutes. We tried the HR instructions with the wheel well on our first truck but then remembered how easily the headlight assembly comes out of these 2015-2017 F150 trucks. Here is a video if you need some help. ruclips.net/video/RRMbelDfEAA/видео.html Happy installation!
Man your post is helpful. I got 3 of the 4 in. The passenger side high beam was absolutely battling me. I am try to go through wheel well and it just won't click in. Ended up having to take the headlight housing out. Not too crazy but a pain.
Thanks for this video guys! I have been waiting for this one, it has definitely made me decide on buying the csp minis for my low beams, fogs and the sv.4s for my high beams
Just installed the CSP mini H11 in my 15’ F-150. They came with PWM modules that are pretty large and look like they need to be mounted somewhere with a sheet metal screw. There is no way I will be able to get the LED bulb back into the housing without cutting part of the back of the headlight housing away to accommodate the larger PWM connector and cable. And that would also do away with the dust cover I would like to keep on. I installed them without the PWM modules, for now anyway. Am I going to have problems with these bulbs overheating, flickering, etc without the huge PWM modules?! Wish I would have known this before I ordered them. None of your video(s) show installation of the CSP mini H11 low beam led bulbs with the PWM modules. Very misleading.
With some trucks, you may not need the additional module. If they're not hyper-flashing now, it's not likely they'll start down the road. The PWM Module can be placed inside the headlight housing so the dust cap cover can be re-installed, mounting with 3M or screws is optional.

They work well however like all LED's make sure they you have positioned the bulbs straight up and down when doing your install. Your yellow LED squares should be facing left and right. Not up and down. This will ensure that the multiple surfaces of the Ford reflective housing are maximized.
i’d love to do this but to be street legal it sounds like i would have to buy an anzo projector style or morimotos. i’ve also read stories about the fans failing and the lights burning up. if i buy these am i gonna get pulled over by a statey for running my low beams?
Although you will probably not get pulled over, I can not recommend those LEDs to you since they are not street legal. I can recommend those Morimoto XB LED headlights to you, and they will be the best option over all, and they are street legal!💯
I clicked the link for the low beam and it won’t allow me to choose “for USA street use”? What do I do? I want these on my F150 like this video. Please let me know.
Unfortunately the government regulations will only allow for that product in an offroad application. If you would like to purchase those, you will have to select that they are for offroad use, and then you will be able to add them to your cart!
That will depend on the space you have under that dust cover on the Anzo housings, you will need roughly 2.6in of space under that dust cover for those LEDs to fit properly! Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns!
I ordered the turn signal LEDs and they do not stay seated in the sockets on a 2019 XLT. They work and do not hyperflash, but become very loose and therefore stop working. One of them almost fell into the housing. Anyone have any ideas on a way to make they stay or perhaps a different product?
Awesome video thank you soooooo much for introducing me to the CSP minis, I'll definitely be going that route since there's no housing modification necessary, my only question is, I'm thinking about running a GTR Ultra 2 for the high beam instead of S-V.4 (that was a tough decision by the way) since your other video(s) claim the Ultra 2 is brighter, Is the Ultra 2 brighter in THIS application for high beam only than the S-V.4s?
We have a couple different options on the website, I would recommend the Ultra 2 out of the two since it produces more light output, and comes with a lifetime warranty! I have linked the page with all the kits we have for your vehicle, shoot us an email if you have any questions! Have a great day! GTR Lighting offers a ton of turn signal products. Email us at sales@HeadlightRevolution.com and we will help figure out exactly what you need for your vehicle.
Connect the harness so the red wire goes to the positive lead from the vehicle. Using that harness makes the bulb a bit easier to plug in and install on your F-150.
Heat will not be an issue at all, you will want to stick that driver and PWM module right inside that housing if possible! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
I watched the video. Went to website and searched for bulb recommended. Search came back with nothing specific for my vehicle. I can’t find the bulbs to buy.

To remain DOT compliant, we would actually recommend going with a brighter halogen bulb. Upgrading to any aftermarket LED or HID kit will not be DOT compliant or street legal. The best halogen bulbs that we have found so far are from Vision X, you can find all of those bulbs here: headlightrevolution.com/headlights/headlight-bulb-upgrades/halogen-headlight-bulbs/vision-x-h-series-halogen-headlight-bulbs/
Will the CSP Mini flicker when the running light mode kicks in? If so, what can I use to stop flickering in running light mode? ^i have flickering with LED replacement now
If that running light is on the low beam, you can install a pair of PWM modules, and that will stop the flickering by running that on full low beam all the time. If that is the high beam, there is no way to safely prevent the flickering without running full high beams.
Unfortunately, some vehicles have this functionality, and some do not. You could do some custom wiring if you really wanted to get that working though!👍
Any aftermarket LED or HID kits are not DOT compliant or street legal. If you'd like to read up more about this, here is a great article: betterautomotivelighting.com/2020/06/05/street-use/
Will the GTR Gen 3s fit in the high beam or low beam here? How does the DD SL1s compare to the Perfect Fits in the low beams? The SL1s fit without any modifications to the dust cover as well.
Hey there, thank you for commenting! You can find all of those headlight kits, and all the other kits that we carry for your vehicle right here: headlightrevolution.com/vehicles/ford-f-150/ford-f-150-2018/
They will not, the F350s take different bulbs. Here is everything we have for that truck though! headlightrevolution.com/vehicles/ford-super-duty/ford-super-duty-2008-2016/
To tell you that for sure, we would need to either have images of the area where you install the bulb on that headlight, or the headlight itself so that we can test the fitment. The issue is that with a lot of the aftermarket housings out there, they do not give any room for the bulb under the dust cover, and with almost all LEDs on the market these days you will need to have room for a heatsink inside the headlight. HIDs will totally work for you though, as you drill holes in the dust covers and run the ballast on the outside of the headlight housing!
Will the headlights need to be adjusted at all going from stock to these if my beam pattern was good before? I know they are much brighter does that change anything?
Brad Schut on flat, level ground, measure the height of the beam right in front of the car. Back the car 25 feet away and see how much lower it is. It should be 4” low on the left and 2” low on the right at 25 feet
This is due to there not being any LED or HID kits that are DOT approved. If you use your truck strictly for offroad use, you can select that and it will allow you to purchase them.
The S-v.4 bulbs do not fit in the Anzo headlights, and we have not confirmed if the CSP Minis fit or not. The best LED bulb that we have found so far for the Anzo headlights are the Morimoto 2Stroke 2.0. headlightrevolution.com/led-headlight-bulbs/morimoto-2stroke-2-0-led-headlight-bulbs/
Were the headlight housings re-designed for 2018 and up? I was told on another video by one of your reps that the sv-4 will fit my 2020 F150 without issues. Was there in fact a change in headlight housing design for 2018 and up?

Awesome video thank you soooooo much for introducing me to the CSP minis, I'll definitely be going that route since there's no housing modification necessary, my only question is, I'm thinking about running a GTR Ultra 2 for the high beam instead of S-V.4 (that was a tough decision by the way) since your other video(s) claim the Ultra 2 is brighter, Is the Ultra 2 brighter in THIS application for high beam only than the S-V.4s?
In this application, the Ultra 2 will get you more usable light output, and also comes with that lifetime warranty!
When they are released, will you please do some testing on the VLEDs V6 TRITON LEDs?
They've been out for awhile now, they just want to sell their brand before all others, even if others are better
What’s the best led headlight bulb for 2004 f150
We have a couple different options on the website, I would recommend the Ultra 2 out of the two since it produces more light output, and comes with a lifetime warranty! I have linked the page with all the kits we have for your vehicle, shoot us an email if you have any questions! Have a great day! Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com

It appears that GTR doesn’t do turn signal lights other than the video. I have used their web site selection tool to try and find the right bulb but no success. Not even a “turn signal” or “ indicators“ section. Earl below never got his response. I wonder if they are still in business?
GTR Lighting offers a ton of turn signal products. Email us at sales@HeadlightRevolution.com and we will help figure out exactly what you need for your vehicle.
What would the best upgrade for my 97 f150? Any help out there
I would check out the S-V.4! headlightrevolution.com/led-headlight-bulbs/v-4-led-headlight-bulbs/
What I've noticed about all you're videos is you try to push just what you sell and say everything else doesn't work whether you try it or not
So for the switchbacks what kind did u use in the ford? I have a 2020 but notice it was saying CK or Non CK wiring
You will want non-CK style bulbs, let us know if you have any other questions! Have a great day!
My low beam mini led come with an extra electrical harness. Do I have to use it? Which cable is positive or negative? Thanks
Connect the harness so the red wire goes to the positive lead from the vehicle. Using that harness makes the bulb a bit easier to plug in and install on your F-150.
How do these work if you have projector headlight housing?
They don't. H7bis for projector
H7
So the low beam plugs are just plug and go no needed resistors?
On the 2015-2017 F150 that is correct the lows do NOT need resistors.
@@tmaxson6505 what about on a 2018?
On the SV4 lights, does the driver get too hot and melt the housing or wiring?
Heat will not be an issue at all, you will want to stick that driver and PWM module right inside that housing if possible! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
I watched the video. Went to website and searched for bulb recommended. Search came back with nothing specific for my vehicle. I can’t find the bulbs to buy.

What about the fog lights? F 150. 2017
They are a huge difference on my 17.
I want more light for dark roads out west. Are these street legal?
What LED bulbs would you suggest to go with the AlphaRex Pro-Series headlights that I have in my F-150?
To remain DOT compliant, we would actually recommend going with a brighter halogen bulb. Upgrading to any aftermarket LED or HID kit will not be DOT compliant or street legal.
The best halogen bulbs that we have found so far are from Vision X, you can find all of those bulbs here:
headlightrevolution.com/headlights/headlight-bulb-upgrades/halogen-headlight-bulbs/vision-x-h-series-halogen-headlight-bulbs/
@@HeadlightRevolution many thanks!
Any time!👍 Glad we could help!🙌🙌
How do you have the high beams and low beams on at the same time ? I turn on my high beams and my low beams shut off .
Unfortunately, some vehicles have this functionality, and some do not. You could do some custom wiring if you really wanted to get that working though!👍
If you have a Ford...there is a Bambi Mode, that can be turned on in the vehicle's computer...using Forscan.
What's the 4th plug connector for (the black connector between low and high)
That connector supplies power to the low and high beam harnesses inside the headlight. -Chris W
Could I use the 9005 low beam headlight bulb for a 2015 Toyota Rav4
Sukhjot Singh yes you could
Sure can!
Yeah where is the link for the turn signals?
They are on this page: headlightrevolution.com/vehicles/ford-f-150/ford-f-150-2015-2017/exterior-lighting-upgrades/
Will this same setup work in a 2020 F150 XLT?
It sure will!
Thank you for the response, would you recommend dome style dust covers though? Thanks again.
With these bulbs, they're really not needed. You could install them, but they honestly wouldn't help any.
The GTR website says that the bulb is not street legal.
Any aftermarket LED or HID kits are not DOT compliant or street legal.
If you'd like to read up more about this, here is a great article: betterautomotivelighting.com/2020/06/05/street-use/
Did we do a before and after with the turn signals?
yup. 5:47 - 5:55
Yep!
Is the csp mini clockable? If so, what is the proper orientation for the 2015-2017 f150 low beam?
Yes. Read my post above. There is a collar and set screw to adjust. The 2015-2017 position is to have the LED's at 3 and 9 oclock not 12 and 6.
Reaching out to our CS team would be the fastest way to get some help, give us a call or email!

@@HeadlightRevolution thank you for that quick reply!
Not a problem!
Will these LEDs work for the Americantrucks.com G3 headlight?
To tell you that for sure, we would need to either have images of the area where you install the bulb on that headlight, or the headlight itself so that we can test the fitment. The issue is that with a lot of the aftermarket housings out there, they do not give any room for the bulb under the dust cover, and with almost all LEDs on the market these days you will need to have room for a heatsink inside the headlight. HIDs will totally work for you though, as you drill holes in the dust covers and run the ballast on the outside of the headlight housing!
STILL WAITING ON THE ALPHA REX HEADLIGHT VIDEO FOR THE 2018 F150 THAT YOU WERE WORKING ON DOING A REVIEW ON.
Still in the works! We'll have it out asap.
@@HeadlightRevolution Did this ever get done? I ordered a pair and wondering if I have different bulb options with that headlight. F150 2016.
Will the headlights need to be adjusted at all going from stock to these if my beam pattern was good before? I know they are much brighter does that change anything?
Brad Schut not too much. Just park your car close to a wall, mark the original beam, install, measure and aim as needed
Jeremy S getting a lot of people flashing at me......
Brad Schut what kind of vehicle?
Jeremy S 2016 f150
Brad Schut on flat, level ground, measure the height of the beam right in front of the car. Back the car 25 feet away and see how much lower it is. It should be 4” low on the left and 2” low on the right at 25 feet
No canbus will result in passenger light not working???
Highly unlikely.
That's a ram truck issue
Do you still sell these?
Sure do, links are in the description!
It wont let me purchase unless i slect offroad?
This is due to there not being any LED or HID kits that are DOT approved. If you use your truck strictly for offroad use, you can select that and it will allow you to purchase them.

@@HeadlightRevolution two different beams?
Hey HR, do you know if the '18+ F150's low beam have changed/fixed the issue of limited space for a LED bulb aside from the Mini CSP bulb?
For the 18+'s, you can go with the S-V.4's. They fit and perform very well!
headlightrevolution.com/2018-ford-f-150-sv-4-led-low-beam/
Will those LED bulbs work well in the Anzo housings on my 2017 F150?
Yes, The F-150 body style changed entirely in 2018. The 15-17 were the same, 2018 was totally different. Here is what you need to watch: ruclips.net/video/R11ZcitSXak/видео.html
