This guys video are top notch. I’ve been watching them since he started and they just get better and better. I’ve been fishing since the late 70’ and learn stuff from your videos. I tell new anglers to go here to learn because there’s no BS. Keep up the great work!! Not a fan boy just appreciate good content.
Tubes are simply an awesome bait, I always keep a few bags in my tackle. I have been using the "Stupid" rig for a few years & it simply works, I love it!!
Country boy handed some lit dynamite to the game warden. Warden said you can't do that. Country boy said, "You gonna talk or fish". Another top quality video Tyler!
I don't have a boat, but I try to apply the same ideas to bank fishing. But I suck 😅. I mostly attempt to chase what I believe to be baitfish around the lake or cast near fallen trees and cover 🤷♂️
I gave up on fishing. I was fishing for bass for weeks and I haven’t even caught one fish! All the other people that were fishing always caught a few but I never even got a nibble. I tried changing bait to the ones that the other fishers use but still no luck!😢 I sold my boat and rod and I’m never fishing again!
A 1/4 oz. Real legit rooster tail brand bc the action almost always works had been a great confidence builder. When you go through the spells of not catching anything these will damn near catch everything.
4 days of bass fishing and still 0 bites. They are jumping and active but won’t bite my Texas rig, won’t bite my frogs, won’t hit my crank bait… I’m running the shores and willows and I still can’t figure out what the deal is. Some of these bass jumping look to be about 5+ lbs. Googan Squad lures don’t work…. I’m at a loss on what to do. I’ll pick up a couple of the tube lures you suggest and I’ll see if that works.
@@Dz_Animationsreally, nothing has changed. I’m starting to think it’s more a luck thing. Also, these guys are fishing in heavy saturated areas. Where I fish, very few people are reeling in anything.
I've got lots and LOTS of tubes! Like you said.... I've stopped using them. I look at them and pass them up. I used to tear up the fish on them. I guess I should knock the dust off them.
i love how it took you 3 1/2 minutes to get to the bait, i was getting so excited thinking to myself "what is this crazy lure that i've forgotten about", and you were right, i haven't used tubes since i was a kid
I keep a handful of tubes in my box too Tyler. Right at ice out here in Michigan I was fishing one on a tube jig and a giant pike hit it on the bottom. Obviously not what I was looking for but just shows that everything will bite it.
Just discovered you a couple weeks ago from the bounty fish skipping video, been absolutely loving your videos. Super informative, straight forward and to the point. Keep it up man! Can't wait for the next video.
I use a Dropshot (when Bass Fishing) or I switch to fast burned and shiny baits to go for Pike instead. Edit: As SOON as you said what it could mimic, I knew EXACTLY what you were talking about. Great vid, sir!
Another great video Tyler, the tube is so under-rated yet is so versatile. Really appreciate your videos , even an old dog like me can learn some new tricks and you do a great job passing on your knowledge. Keep em coming and Thanks ! Don
Found your channel a few months back and have been hooked ever since! I like how genuine and just real you sound when talking to folks. I’m also from Ohio. What area of Ohio are you located in? I’m southeastern
Yesterday I caught everything but Bass/Covid. Damn near 2 lb Crappies and 4 lb trouts. Week before I couldn’t keep the bass off my rig. I have quite a few tubes too but I’m gonna have to give it a go!
The tubs can be fish catching machines when rigged with a jig head and a spinner blade (Colorado single blade) this was shown to me about 15 years ago by a guy that built custom baits. It represents a shad just like a regular spinner bait but with more action. Tears the schooling bass up. I still keep a few tubes around rigged a couple ways but havent used any lately as bites have been good on so many other baits.
Ty sounds like what I have been going thru the last two tournaments then I catch one but it won't weigh. It's rough bro I try and keep trying all I can do
I had this experience a long time ago. I finally got tired of tossing the tackle box and buying the newest gimmick lures and still not catching anything so I went to saltwater. Always catch something there.
I'd say bring a few poles with different baits an lures. Use 3 casts per spot left right an straight into water you fish. Use 1 pole with different lures for each cast to see what draws the bass are drawn to for the 3 spots you use to cast. Best places are usually where there's structure an different land marks like points an pockets along shore line. Also looking for good current an another key factors temperature an activity in the water. Finally an most important the water level. Things to pay attention to. If it's been really hot with not much rain be careful keep hydrated go to shaded areas keep head covored an try throwing lure deeper water. Using knee high rain boots so you can walk into water to cast even further
A few weeks back, after being skunked a couple days in a row, I pulled out an old pack of tubes and caught a nice bass. They always seem to get bit, I just don't remember to fish a tube nearly enough. What size Trokar tube hook are you using on that 4.5" tube?
Been fishing for 4 months once or twice a week for about 4 hours each day and the best I’ve got the whole time is two bass that jumped out of the water and spit my lure. Incredibly discouraging that I’ve spent all this money and time without catching anything but two trout on accident.
I love the Bass Pro double dipped tubes and their Tender tubes. Always carry a pack in my backpack, and I'm a hike in fisherman d so you know they're good. Carry a pack with white, green earth colors, and a Goby/Sculpin color. In winter, Carolina rig it, add a wooden bead inside and a dressed treble hook on the rear. The wooden bead helps it float off the muck.
Man I’m a disabled veteran and I fish on a budget. I have two maybe three rods that I fish with. Lols so many different recommendations on rod lengths, reels…….
Use Baitcaster reel's from Quantum a Pulse or ACCURIST S3 PT. Great reel's for the money. The new one is Invade. On Berkley Cherrywood HD medium heavy baitcaster rod's. Also a Bang for your buck rod. The third rod and reel A medium action Spinning rod with a spin caster reel combo from Ugly stick. $20.00 at walmart right now was $39.00. Put 30 pound braid from Suffix. 832 in green moss color. It tough and the color stays. Polormar knot too. Use Strike king and KVD lures from Walmart. Your rod and reel's can be ordered through Walmart as well as the line. I only use 6'6 rods. Because I pond fish only. Any longer and your screwed. Because of trees and weeds and brush. Hope this helps you out. I caught over a 150 bass last year on this gear. Shawn.
I love watching these videos definitely helpful you definitely know what you are doing. And how do you find good fishing spots in the area you live in? I have fished from pheonix az to flagstaff az to lake Havasu az to bull head az even the Colorado river not much luck how do do I find the good spots I hardly ever ketch anything
Man, I have a pile of that pink and yellowish green you had on your deck. I found a bunch of em in some tackle I found set away since the early to mid 90's. I used to use them on Bull Shoals Lake to catch smallmouth in the rocks. They're an extremely effective bait! Typing as I watch, that's funny, I use a football jig as well...lol. What's the brand of those pink and yellow/green tunes, I'm trying to remember, it's an oddball company.?.? I'm gonna go look
At least a couple companies make 'goby style' tube inserts with wide heads so ya dont have to waste your football jigs on tubes... unless you make your own football jigs, then your way is probably best.
😂😂😂 I like that you said that you had to catch something to make you feel like a man. I caught a 20 inch trout during my first few months of fishing and I can't imagine how that hurts feelings as a woman.
Bro I think I’m either cursed or sb gave me they bad juju cuz IVE GONE ALL LAST SEASON AND THIS SEASON WITH 2 TINY LITTLE DINKS it’s gotten so bad sometimes I feel like shedding tears 😂
Go to a Spinnerbait. People don't throw a spinnerbait. It finds Bass. Then throw a Senko rig. WACKY, Ned or Texas rigged. If that don't work A Rattle trap in Chrome. Black or Blue Back 3/4 oz. Learn this from my Father. He was a wise Bass fisherman. God rest his soul. HEB. SPB. Shawn.

I feel like then rooster tail is severely underrated
A 1/4 oz. Real legit rooster tail brand bc the action almost always works had been a great confidence builder. When you go through the spells of not catching anything these will damn near catch everything.
Beetle spin even more so.
One of my favorite lures. Always works!
I'm only 2 months into fishing and I have 5 rooster tails and I love them and have a lot of confidence throwing it
Inline spinners are where it's at!
My new favorite you tube guy. I don't own a boat but seems very informative. Also seems like it applies to bank fishing.
I never go out without a tube tied on. Been using it since 1986 and it still treats me good.
Caught my first bass as a kid with these love em!
I've always had a few tubes around but don't fish them much. I might have to start rigging one up. Thanks for another great, informative vid 👍
Caught my PB largemouth (7lb, Indiana) this spring on a green pumpkin tube. Completely agree it’s my go to when nothing else is working!
I was actually thinking about picking some of these up, but now I definitely am. Thanks for the advice

@@alanwright782slow down your fishing try dead sticking
That's funny you mention this. I cought a largemouth on a tube rigged on a weightless whacky rig hook (top water) yesterday!
I've got lots and LOTS of tubes! Like you said.... I've stopped using them. I look at them and pass them up. I used to tear up the fish on them. I guess I should knock the dust off them.
I’m with you, dustin Connell, and kickin their bass!
Tubes are so good. I have good luck catching smallies and even largies love them.
I love fishing tubes. Overlooked bait for sure. Thanks from Western Kentucky.
Dude. Best video ever. It’s like every 10. In commercial on YT. ‘But before I tell you that, let me tell you this. . . “. Lol
i love how it took you 3 1/2 minutes to get to the bait, i was getting so excited thinking to myself "what is this crazy lure that i've forgotten about", and you were right, i haven't used tubes since i was a kid
jus grabbed sum tubes today thanks to you!
nice! i never forgot about tubes. for clear river smallmouth i cant find anything else that even compares..
I couldn't resist, I ordered a water blue hat!
I keep a handful of tubes in my box too Tyler. Right at ice out here in Michigan I was fishing one on a tube jig and a giant pike hit it on the bottom. Obviously not what I was looking for but just shows that everything will bite it.
When you were building this up I was thinking to myself...."This has got to be either a curly tail grub or a tube he's talking about."
My friend caught 2 on a grub the other day when the bight was rough... Texas rigged and slaying bass!
Gary Yamamota
The tube has definitely become 1 of my confidence baits.
What color should I get that matches a bluegill like a brown?
Just discovered you a couple weeks ago from the bounty fish skipping video, been absolutely loving your videos. Super informative, straight forward and to the point. Keep it up man! Can't wait for the next video.
Going to go buy some today and try them out.

Excellent video with great detail thanks for the tip🎣🤘🎣
I give it a try tomorrow I have been skunked 4 trips in a row
Yesterday I caught everything but Bass/Covid. Damn near 2 lb Crappies and 4 lb trouts. Week before I couldn’t keep the bass off my rig. I have quite a few tubes too but I’m gonna have to give it a go!
I'll need to add tubes to my arsenal once I learn how to use the pikupiku that I ordered from your last video!
Ive always done good with texas rigging a live crawler on a center drought hook. Try it .

I actually have some of those Denny Brauer tubes in my tackle bag. Totally forgot about them.
That escalated quickly from can't get bit to 7'10" heavy and 65 lb braid dang!
I have never caught anything on a tube, but this video has motivated me to keep trying.
I've been flippin beavers for years but no one has ever accused me of being a tube flipper
😂😂😂😂
the thumbnail is definitely me questioning why i still fish lmao
Love his skipping video
just subscribed and turned on all notifications on the bell.
I know this is an older video but would love to know what size the Trojan hook you use
Will that work well in cold water for largemouth I know it does for small mouth
A few weeks back, after being skunked a couple days in a row, I pulled out an old pack of tubes and caught a nice bass. They always seem to get bit, I just don't remember to fish a tube nearly enough.
What size Trokar tube hook are you using on that 4.5" tube?
Almost nobody ik rigs this up especially down south were I live but do I rig up the 4.5 and it catchs em I love fishes it around lily pads
Dont have a boat 😂 any tips for shore fishing its the same things eveytime for if you can get to the middle of the lake

Man I’m a disabled veteran and I fish on a budget. I have two maybe three rods that I fish with. Lols so many different recommendations on rod lengths, reels…….
A 7ft medium heavy should do the trick for just about all types of fishing, especially if you pond fish you don’t need more than two rods
I'm in same boat as you disabled veteran as well I just use what I can afford couple spinning rods and baitcaster and I use fluorocarbon

Also every time I shove the football Jig in there I’ll turn away from my co-angler so he doesn’t comment on what I just made looks like
At least a couple companies make 'goby style' tube inserts with wide heads so ya dont have to waste your football jigs on tubes... unless you make your own football jigs, then your way is probably best.
For me....grab a spinning combo and put on a senko...then go slow.
That is also another great way to catch them when it’s tough
today I see a bunch of bass but they never bite. I try many lure and bait still no bite. is it because they see me?
Shout out to my Lake Hartwell people right now
still have a pack with Denny on the front from 98 lol
