If you guys know the Greek myth of Minos then y’all know that he was the king of Crete who chose seven boys and seven girls to go into Daedalus’ labyrinth and die via Minotaur. Which is why there were 6 people who played the whole thing through and the last guy at the end was also in the game and played the game too. Mythology things
Well Minos palace did exist and there is some evidence they sacrificed humans to a bull idol. The palace was somewhat labyrinthian so except fo the actual Minotaur which might have been a pagan priest dressed with a bull skin and mask is not as much myth as one would think. As I said except for the actual minotaur existing most of it is based on real history
Spoon Love I haven’t watch the film. But I have seen that kind of logic so many times. And it’s dumb. It’s true that movies don’t have to be realistic all the time. But if a movie wants to be taken seriously at all. It would sure as hell need some logical, well-planned writing in there. Otherwise any elementary school kids would have had a job in Hollywood or get a prize for best-selling novels. I have now done about 8 I think, and most of them have clues hidden under tables and in cabinets while also Zoey was right about the names of the books because most that I have done use either the main title or a passage you find using a page number you find.
I have done 1 escape room, it was one of my brothers, my dad, myself, and a few other random people. I don't remember much (it was several years ago) but I think the other participants were a little imbecilic, either that or it was more difficult than I thought it'd be, or I just don't remember it that well.
6:15 When she said "this time", she meant that it wasn't gonna work on them, since they don't know that nobody else has been in those deadly escape rooms, she assumed that it had worked on others and that they were trying to make them fight over resources, that's why she said "it won't work this time".
@@amyramos9697 Yes, I think its ridiculous too. But some people seriously think that CinemaSinns is ruining the industry. Hard to tell these days who is joking in the comment section. And who is not...
Yeah, that's the problem with these movies that try to sell the idea of these super-secret shadowy comic-book supervillain-style evil organizations. They are always so cartoonishly over-the-top and badly written you could just call them all "Umbrella", and it would make little to no difference. XD
oh yeah? what kind of fantasy world are you talking about? you do not have to be smart to fool majority of society and hide a secret organisation, supported by wealthiest of the wealthiest. if the money is involved, nobody would investigate whatsoever. the survivors are happy they weren't commited to a mental hospital, it would be really easy and happens even to normal people. those two are social outcasts and a guy has drugs in his blood. nobody would give shit about their words, nobody would investigate based on her testimony with THIS AMOUNT of police, when a detective (!!) went with her to the scene of crime. one patrol car would be enough, and the case would be wholly dismissed without detective going back and forth to "see for yourself" crap.
The only thing I liked about this movie was that in the end they talked about doing the escape room as a show for the rich cause humans are fascinated by watching others struggling for their lives. Because that was when I realised that I just watched that whole movie despite not really liking it because I found the concept fascinating. So there's a metaphor in it I guess.
In a way Escape Room is commenting on modern media where we pay ludicrous amounts of money to watch people kill each other, live out overly-dramaticised fake lives, or make fun of others in often stereotypical ways. Cabin in the Woods was similar though it was more a jab at the cliches of the horror genre and the people who come to watch. In a way, both movies mean to exaggerate both situations because exaggeration and disingenuousness appeals to modern media. And it seems disingenuousness extends beyond media.
@Death Omen I'd go so far as to say it is not a new concept based on the Roman gladiatorial games and all that jazz. Audiences have always been entertained by watching others struggle for their lives. Humanity on the whole is pretty bloodthirsty.
Honestly I could imagine Disney making a much better Saw movie then this. At least Disney has creative writers that could expand this concept more effectively
I think when Amanda said "not gonna happen this time" when she was talking about limiting resources she did not mean "this time" as in the current game they are playing she meant in general as in any other group of people who have played and might have actually fought for the limited resources.
I've started hearing some of their tropes in my head when I see things in real life... like seeing someone eating an apple, the "makes him look like even more of an a**hole, DING" bit will play in my mind.
11:27 last room was Mike's room! Like the walls getting closer, trapped in a small place that's supposed to reference the mine. So basically, room one was about Amanda (with the fire), room two was about Ben (the rudolph thing), room three was Jason (the jacket and the ice), room four was about Zoey (the upside down of the plane), room five about Danny (the gas), room six about Ben again (idk why) and room seven about Mike
All of the rooms had a little piece of each of their characters. Like the first room had that mug with the plane on it for Zoey, and the snow globe with the boat in it for Jason. Also the ice room had the compass that I think Zoey had with her on the plane. And the room with the drug trip was meant to represent Ben's alcoholism and the fact that he was drunk when he got into that car accident. But obviously they couldn't force them to drink so drugs through contact was the next best thing/feeling lol.
@@jeebuschristos8423 cube was more about escaping the cube itself with death traps in all directions. Honestly i thought this was a modern day cube but it looked too cliché
This movie reminded me of this one time my family and I entered a real escape room. It was from a small company and they forgot that they left us in the room after it closed. When the time ran out, no one had entered the room to let us out. And all of our "hint calls" were used up. So we had to escape ourselves. We kind of just guessed everything. When we left, we realised it was closed so we called the number of the escape room to let us out. It was kind of jarring after watching this movie.
OMFG??? I'm confused how did they forget you were there if the whole point was for you all to escape meaning they literally had to wait regardless? I hope you all sued for pain and suffering!!
I get so mad when Danny died because they could have saved him by breaking the ice with the big cube with the key in it and they would have the pictures he took as evidenced at the end.
yes but he was not in one place at the same time plus the current that was mentioned he couldn't of gotten out. and when the ice did break the cube would of just fallen down to the bottom again. and I doubt his phone still would of worked. shut up Karlee Lyons. what kind of a name is that anyways, its a baby name. ur a baby. loser
Even if they broke the ice, there was a current and the chances of them grabbing him were slim to none. If they did get him out, they'd still have to thaw the ice cube out, and Danny would've died of hypothermia by them, unfortunately. Either way, it sucked that he died.

I love how he said it gave Marvel more ideas on how to further obscure its fight scenes in future movies, and literally a month later Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out haha
Mikes room was the final one that Ben was left in, which is also the opening scene. His brother was suffocated and he was almost also suffocated just as Ben almost was as the room closed on him
I actually enjoyed the movie though I know most of the time it made no sense. Also, the part about the lighter, I think the game makers don't want them to use the it to melt the ice and immediately have the key so they killed Danny. But they also wanted to kill the players soon enough so maybe that's the reason?
Wait I just realized- if Mike's claustrophobic room was the last, does that mean the creators of the room intended for him to survive? I know in-movie the point of the escape room is to see who has the most luck, but Cinema Sins pointing out how weird it is that the rooms were geared towards a specific player made me think about that.
And from what we see here Ben's room only has one antidote, meaning that Mike had to survive until Ben's room and then get the antidote to reach "his" room
I just think the fact that they used a literal teenage actress to seduce a grown man was cringey. That movie creeps me out lmao. It had a great concept, but maybe I would have liked the ending more of her movies had been something different than getting a man to love her.

Exactly! The first ever escape room I did had about 90% of the first room (there were two) based on a key under a carpet and cups and objects on the shelf’s..
I thought the exact same thing, although we are watching it in a fictional manner it was an intriguing concept
Like in Salo 120 days of Sodom?!
Like Total Drama

I actually liked this movie, my anxiety level was through the roof! Lol 😆

Same! I can't wait for the sequel to come out soon!
how did you watch it? I thought it hasn’t been released
Emily Rae now tv!
Emely Rey are you living in the past still? This came out in 2019
Everything wrong with Orphan would be awesome. The plot was original but I'd like to see how you tackle the movie overall.
I just think the fact that they used a literal teenage actress to seduce a grown man was cringey. That movie creeps me out lmao. It had a great concept, but maybe I would have liked the ending more of her movies had been something different than getting a man to love her.
01emercado01 yessss
If this would've come out 2 days ago I could've saved myself the hassle of making my husband watch it with me
Do you mean you broke uo 2 days ago? If so im sorry
To be fair, cinemasins is mostly comedy and their reviews are not exactly reliable.
I once believed I wouldn't like v for vendetta because i saw the video on cinemasins.
Now it is one of my favourite movies.
Boy was i stupid for listening to a series that sins running gacks.
@@Oscar-j6b They're not "reviews" I don't know why anyone would take this videos seriously at all. They are entertainment.
SirTatManTat exactly. They sin the shit out of great movies all the time. It’s a really funny channel, not a serious reviewer
@@jtoumai I think she means they bought or rented the movie a couple days ago.
Thank you for adding 20 Sins for how they got rid of ALL the evidence so quickly.
Especially that crazy elevator shaft from the upside down bar room.
The elevator shaft was not real. It was a projection
Well how do you know they got rid of the evidence?
Zoe explains to the cop about the ceiling fan lowering down and breathing fire when in fact she was in the Rudolph room at the same time that happened
Interesting. I missed that. Only two people saw, that happen, I think
Well, one of the survivors was in the room so he could have said it to her.
@@vincentgraymore still a large leap to make when the movie gave us no indication that that is what happened. Plus, why would they have talked about that one thing when such a traumatic event just happened to them?
@@austinkamp8048 a lot of shit happened that was weird or retarded. For all we know, the police could have had a statement from both of them while they explained it together.
I saw the trailer and thought it would be dope, then i watched it.
Same
Indeed it looked so good but then it kinda faltered. Still enjoyed it though
I saw the trailer and thought it looked bad. I saw the movie by accident and it was worse than I thought
@@vali6717
How do you see a movie by accident?
It looked and sounded good, however this video (and the comments) are making me think it's not.
10:51 I was of the impression that "testing your limits" was to find both the highest and lowest beat rate of the heart. The 'high' and 'low' clues, remember?
Makes sense ^^
Trouble with this film for me is every character secretly figures out the rooms are connected to their lives, but rather than tell eachother this and pool resources they decide to keep that quiet so the audience can get that revealed later, even though they know they can die and have no reason to keep quiet about ANYTHING that is useful
"That's right, I said CLUE!"
...IS THAT A THREAT?!?!
bitch you look like a boy

Nice one, so creative.
If you're going to be an asshole at least be new about it.
And this isn't to "white knight" or whatever, at this point it's just unnecessary.
