not for free...you actually have to pay the expenses , so your paying for the privilege in extra gas and time. Oh and opportunity cost, you could have been doing a paying order in that same time, which you now miss out on.
I was a very highly rated door-dash driver for years. The cut in pay horrible support and trying to force me to deliver no tip orders. On top of trying to tell me what orders I have to deliver! That's not an independent contractor!
So happy to hear someone calling it like it is. You said the perfect statement that "You Do It Cleaner" referring to multi apping. For years everyone was so adamant about dirty apping but doordash was constantly screwing over customers by giving us stacks or add ons that made zero sense from a good customer service standpoint.
Thats why, i base my accepting an order... double or not on dollar per miles. If the order doesnt pay $2 per mile, it gets declined. Especially if it goes more than 5 miles. I have learned that if DD sends you more than 5 miles away or out of zone, dont expect an order on the return trip to cover the miles driving back.
Problem with that is unless you live in the best market in the entire US you will be sitting declining orders for more than half the time you’re out “delivering”
@@piffdaddy7661I’m not sure where you get that. I have a 5% AR on Uber Eats and 16% AR on DoorDash and I won’t turn my car on for less than $2 per mile. I make $200 in around 9-10 hours on less than 120 miles pretty much any night that I work. It doesn’t cost you any money to sit in a parking lot with your car turned off it cost you money driving around excepting low paying orders.
That has been happening to me a LOT lately. Orders take me 5 to 6 miles out of my zone. In the past, if it took me to a busy place, it didn't bother me too much. BUT, here lately, the 5 miles is out in the middle of nowhere, where the nearest restaurant is literally 6 miles away. And here lately, it is CLOSE to a dollar a mile. Like 5.00 for 4.98 miles or some shit like that. 7 dollars for 8 miles.
I see how ppl could see that as a problem but think about it the basically gave you a 20 order cancel cushion which is crazy because other apps don’t even do that I never even knew it was 80 I’ve always kept mine 95% or better better. And they are resetting everyone to 100% with this change doesn’t do anything for me since I’m already at 99 but if someone is high 70’s or low 80’s it definitely helps that person
@@lengod2232my CR has always been 100%. Just wait 10 minutes and say the order is taking too long. I accept all the trash orders just to keep my AR up and then unassign if it's not worthy. 😑
@@11bravo80 You can find an article of how DD got takin to court and had to pay out millions to drivers some time ago. Was something about how DD was keeping tips etc....
Because the majority of the dashers are ignorant of the financial costs to their own interests. Too many drivers are too cowardly to challenge the gig companies with a economic drivers's strike.
Based on the $8.17 price, this came off the restaurants ordering platform and the dispatched to Door dash for delivery. Many restaurants will share tips or skim them when it comes off their website
I have to agree with Henry on this. Sounds like it was a third party order and the restaurant likely kept part of the tip. There is no guarantee that they'll do it but you can always ask that restaurant for a copy of the customer receipt. Sometimes that will have the actual amount the customer tipped.
I'm like you...if I'm doing a stack,it needs to be going in the same direction/ restaurant. I'm declining most stacks these days from doordash. Thank God for new drivers that are taking these and other apps.
I was working Uber and Doordash for almost 6 years. Sadly ran through 2 cars and then got the rental. Was paying $310 a week for the rental but had to work 70 to 80 hours a week just to make a decent profit for the week after paying the rental. I was having to drive further and further and longer and longer to work. I was neglecting my family and had zero downtime to do anything. I found that the only thing I wanted to do was sleep when I wasn't out there working. No quality of life. I finally decided to quit and went back to doing what I was doing before I got into the gig economy. No regrets.
I'm experiencing the same thing. The gig app life will drain you dry and leave you lifeless. I've been so busy with it, I'm just now catching up on doing my taxes from 2021. Glad you were able to kick the habit!
Yeah, I left a job making 35 an hour, and then left a job making 28 an hour just last october, just got into the gig app world, I been making 1000-1200 a week but thats working 8hrs a day almost every single day. I traded in my truck for a hybrid so I could be successful at gig apps. 5 weeks in so far and I wonder if I made a smart move, is gig work only for highschool kids that live in there parents basement? Or can we really be successful at these things?
So basically, not enough people on Pay by Time to deliver the trash so they will throw it into our orders by sneaking them in through the backdoor like this.
Some of the customers watch every move you make seeing how doordash let's them see your gps. They need to stop doing that. It's almost a invasion of privacy and a driving hazard when the customer is blowing your phone up because your not driving straight to there house.
Amazingly - I've only had 1 customer to start (nastily) sending messages about finding them, and it was marked for the Other side of a building a quarter mile away which They walked away from..
I had a nasty run outside because I was walking to the left of the building trying to find their door. AND they weren't even a Tipper!! They ordered a huge pizza and wings but all I got was $2 for a double delivery. Rude and nasty and grossly arrogant. @@EightiesJames
The fact is the majority of DD users actually can’t afford DD and tip accordingly. Us drivers don’t work for free and will seldome accept a no-tip run. Since the bulk of DD orders have little to no tip, those orders have to be delivered one way or the other so DD is using every trick they can think of to keep their low/no tip customers happy and we the drivers are suffering for it.
Exactly...folks living paycheck to paycheck but still feel entitled to use a luxury convience service such as ubereats/doordash. This is why I try to deliver in wealthy areas.
Yeah, some of the customers are section 8 or so obese and out of shape they dont have the energy to go get the food themselves nor cook. Im bringing KFC to a lady at 9pm that weights 400lbs. I thought to myself after making the delivery ''she doesnt need this''. In a matter of time due to bio metrics I beleive as citys evolve into bio metric smart citys , soon the phone will know there heart rate, weight, and over all health. I imagine its a matter of time before the app will only allow unhealthy people to only order healthy food.
Don't worry Zach, it's going to get even better. Soon all the apps will lower base pay to $1 for single orders. Then an app will try a tips only pay model. Next will be you have to pay a monthly fee to work the platform. Get ready!
I would pay a small fee per month , for being able to set a slider / to my exact want's!, Example so $20 and up less than 11 miles, or a ratio to be like no orders unless miles = $2 dollars to 1 mile that kind of feature , and also be able to blacklist and whitelist restaurants so when its peak time I get only the places I want to deliver from.
I already pay a feee every time I want my money. Uber was .75 then .80 and now .85. I finally used the DoorDash card to save money and time, because a week before you see your money otherwise, unless you pay $1.99. However; the best is GrubHub .50 And still it's taking cash off of you. HOW many other businesses [besides a bank] charge you for getting your own money? NONE that I know of.
I'm a full time driver.. and have gravitated away from doordash except for dinner .. It's just not good anymore lol I run dd , gh, spark, roadie and lyft Never put all your eggs in one basket
DD tried and tried to get the drivers to dash per hour (a total wtf) but the number of orders coming up with 0 tips DD did not have enough hourly drivers to cover all of those so they had to come up with something new and they are making it harder to determine if there are actual tips or not.
Funny enough never had a customer complain about me multiapping, actually got a comment that they could tell i was picking up another order but I was still twice as fast as any other driver and saluted my ambition
I haven’t had a good feeling about doordash for a while and content like this confirms it. It’s quickly becoming a complete pain in the ass. I’m looking for another income stream and once I find it, I’m out. I tired of dealing with rude merchants, cheap lazy ass customer that can’t be pleased and fighting traffic and tearing up my car. It ain’t worth it.
The worst is the Shop & Pay doubles. S&P is already double work, yet it doesn't pay any more. Add one to a double & they're basically making you lose money to deliver. It's so common to see S&P doubles with less than a $10 payout & it's infuriating...
Only one not paying much is door scum or scumhub picking our tips from their constant underpayment. Keep tolerating this folks and it'll never end angst and contempt toward these thriving companies.
It's funny you said that. I actually suggested that somebody do pizza delivery over the apps just today. In this case it was only because of their market. Tiny town. Out in the sticks. He'd probably be better off going the W2 route in his market.
Ive switched to doing Uber and Lyft bc its been so dead but I still do food delivery if the pay is good. However, I havent been able to sign into doordash much in the last few weeks. I live in a very busy and populated area, but even on Saturday night its grey most of the night. If they are really doubling most orders now, that would absolutely make sense and explain this. Bc theyre doubling everything now there are less orders for everyone to go around
Hours have been harder to get in my market recently as well. I just turn on my other apps and leave them in the background and wait for DD to turn red. This usually happens a few times an hour in market and I can generally catch 30 minutes to an hour at a time.
Doortrash literally freezes you out on purpose. For example, it was all gray on a Saturday once. They had just introduced hourly in my market. Not knowing any better, I hit earn by hour. Suddenly, I was BOMBARDED with orders. Back to back, three at a time even. But, literally every order paid about 5.70. Even the ones that took longer to complete. The most I ever got on hourly was 7 dollars and that was a tipper and it took over 30 minutes.
@@ZachDrivesFast Never pay attention to the red, if its red that means there are a lot of orders being rejected and floating around from driver to drivers, if its grey its good, because drivers are accepting orders. Its a psychological game. Ive seen areas kick out orders that arent even a zone or hot spot.
We need to flood social media and warn newbies who are thinking of driving for them how they seduce you in the beginning - so they are more aware of the game. Because as long as DD has a line of drivers desirous to sign up who don't know any better- current drivers don't have as much leverage.
I'm here doing research to see if it makes sense for me and I can tell you that I had no idea how badly DD treats its drivers. I would have made different choices if I knew. It was just that they were doing groceries before others in my area during the pandemic and I've just kept them. But as a consumer, I don't want to support the worst company for drivers to work for. I think if more customers knew what I'm seeing now they would switch to another app.
@@ellicel it would really help us all if more ppl like you called them and complained/email and other ways to contact them to put a little pressure on them to change things thanks!.
@@ZacharyLVL15262 I think part of the problem, too, is that these apps have made us more entitled. The other day the data system I manage crashed and I didn't stop for a break til it was working again. Finally got it back up around 2am and I was starving (plus I really wanted ice cream). After my order was picked up my driver messaged me that I'd have to meet her at her car because she had a policy not to get out of her car late at night. I'm embarrassed to say my first reaction was petulant and childish. I was all, that's NOT what my delivery instructions say; how dare you? It took a moment to think what kind of pressure this poor lady must be under to be out working in the middle of the night when she's scared to. Or even what maybe already happened to her that caused her to have that policy in the first place. Yet there I was, cozy and comfortable with somebody else taking the risk being out late at night just to satisfy a craving. But since almost all the time we don't even see the delivery person, it's so easy to forget this service is from a real person, not a robot. Whether I decide to do this as a side gig or not, watching these videos have really made me reflect. Yes, DD should be better, but customers have a responsibility as well. After all, we are both on the same side -- corporations will happily screw over both customers and workers to increase their bottom line.
Don't get me wrong. There are high paying doubles in my market as well. My main complaint is that they're now bundling as many orders as they can to save money.
Definitely feel you on the stacks but in my opinion the stacks being setup poorly is not a new thing, whole reason i moved markets was because one of them exposed me to so many insane stacks but realized that most these apps cap offers enough that the one i live closer to ends up paying the same average (no i don't mean EBT etc) saved me a hour a day, also fact that area is under construction hell right now. Truly sucks when they want to force stacks but are so bad at it at times that someone multi-apping is probably dozens of times less likely to tick off a customer.
Yeah, my local friend ordered chipolte on DD and called to cancel the order because it took so long to arrive. Hence I thought was that the driver got drilled with stacks or was multi apping lol.
I’ve since stopped doing food delivery and switched to rideshare. In my market between pay per mile and pay per minute my pay how red around $1.30/mile and I’m loving it. And there is no wait times, so short trips are great I have hours where I can do like 5-6 trips in an hour
Heres, in a nutshell..how I do things. I run "the big 6" main gig apps. I end up in about a half dozen of my surrounding markets. I multi app in the sense that I use these all, but only until I get a hit. But what I DONT do is like what you just said, about making your own double. It's happened, usually by accident. Two orders come on two apps, literally same pickup and same drop off neighborhood. And I only would take them if knew the merchant would have them ready. In my years driving and thousands of orders, I've only done this a few times. There's too much F**ckery going on anymore in places. You never know when there's going to be a hold up. Some places I swear they're still raising the crops/animals for the order. No lines or anything, it takes me 10-15 minutes to get to the store, yet its still not ready with a 10 minute wait. How...........why?????? Also, I'll argue with anyone that "door dash wants to get orders delivered as fast as possible" No they dont....no they dont..........no they don't. I've seen VAST evidence to the contrary. Like what you just said, they'll run you backwards, for no reason. Amazon flex does this too.. but that's slightly different, but still... anyway. Yeah. once I was in a store, looking at an order on the shelf that had been sitting there, and got assigned to go somewhere 10 minutes away. Came back to that store like a half hour later, and its still there. NO reason I couldn't have taken that. Why did it send me 10 minutes away and why was this not given to anyone? I've seen them sit for HOURS. And the merchant lets the cooked food out there for someone to take. That's what I want, four hour-old chicken. Any-who.. I dont like to multi app because of this. I'm not getting in trouble. People message me all the time when I'm on a double and they ask what I'm doing. It use to tell you we were on doubles, but not anymore.. If its their own f**kery. I'm protected. Although one time i wasnt shielded from the bad reviews from their garbage. But that was a first. Oh, also.... Because of the way I set myself up, where, and when, I can usually do 3 orders per hour. There have been times at night where I was one of, if not the only driver out, and a local chain place does well at night... I got every order, they were all doubles, with tip, with peak pay. in 90 minutes I got every order in town and delivered them all like a paper boy with NOS on his bike with a bionic arm. Made like 60 bucks in 90 minutes. Its happened several times. I think that's all. Great vid as usual.
Jason! What a great comment! You're definitely doing it right running 6 apps and willing to shift zones. I'm exceedingly careful when I create my own doubles. Like you said, I have to know the merchant and be pretty confident its going to be ready. I also try to do my routes in a way where both customers could be watching and assume I'm on my way to them. I don't multi-app like that a ton, but I look for the opportunities and take them when I can and when they're safe. I appreciate the kind words! Keep up the hustle my friend!
People will keep delivering them anyway. They hustle, rely on this, and got goals and bills to pay. Plus the less money y'all have, the more labor they can extract out of y'all. Now go out there and hustle!
And btw UE now hides base pay from drivers completely on doubles. You get one number. And one number for the tip. So how about giving Uber the same scrutiny?
Its not really about whether he is scrutinizing one app over the other. He in fact, DOES say that you should multi app, and never gives one app all of your eggs and that one basket. Which implies that he is not taking up for ANY of them, as they ALL are screwing us. This point is emphasized in many of his vids. This vid, he just happens to have Doordash at the center of attention.
But literally EVERYTHING he’s saying about DD applies to UE to an even greater degree, except the scheduling. I actually find DD much more reasonable recently; as I mentioned, I always preferred UE, for years.
@@ms.mercenary7886 Once again. He is not giving Uber a pass. He is simply just making DD the main topic of discussion in this particular video. There are multiple vids of him discussing Ubers fuckery as well. Also everything is market dependent. For instance over here in my area, DD is super ass and Uber is better. Even though they both are still stealing from and screwing us.
I hate stacked orders. Lately the better paying ones I take end up with DD conniving me to unassign one of them (perhaps one with a hefty tip) without affecting my completion rate.😡
I quit door dash, my last order was at 9:00 at night going to a college campus, pickup at Popeyes for $2.00 ??????? That was the day I said, door dash can stick it where the sun dont shine.
Never never never take an order from Popeyes ever and never never never take an order that is only two dollars not sure what you were thinking if you’re not making at least 150 to 200 bucks a night at this job you’re not doing it right
Had the worst stacked order last week ( wasn't aware it was stacked) good paying order, but wait was getting long ( wing place), at 12 minutes I told cashier I was gonna unassign, he said "no no here it comes". Walked out the door and saw there was a SECOND order to pick up from same place? walked back in, he said that one was still being made, so I dumped that one. After delivering what I did pick up, pay was only 3.25 😡😡😡I Gotta pay closer attention, don't know how I didn't see it was stacked? They also dinged me for dumping the one order even though they gave me the option to dump the other when I was waiting?? UGG
4:22 that’s why no matter what, before I confirm a pickup, I ALWAYS put that there’s an issue with the order. Because doordash DOESNT have your back in ANY situation. Uber is better for this, but still not perfect
Frankly, as a customer using DD lately, we need to know the Dasher/Worker delivering our order is actually receiving the 100% TIP we input in the app. If not, DD advertising 100% TIP goes to DASHERS/ them is not true. Especially if the vendor/restaurant/etc takes part as well.
And customers don’t tip much because they all assume we are getting more from doordash. It’s embarrassing how little they pay in contrast to package delivery drivers. Ups drivers making upwards of 170k a year but doordash drivers would be lucky to make $10/hour in base pay minus personal vehicle expenses.
Doordash stock is down almost 50% since its inception. Its barely making money, so it makes sense that the drivers will deal with the lose of revenue as well. Its up 50% just in the last year, because its making these cuts.
Why are you only focusing on DD? UE is much worse. They paid me $0.49 (!!!!) for an 8-mile (!!!!!!!!!) add-on. Another time they paid me $0.59 for an add-on. They’ve been doing $1.XX for months. DD base is WAY higher. I used to be primarily UE. Not anymore.
I don't know, for me, Uber Eats pays pretty pretty d*** I'm good and my market. At least sure I get a lot of s*** shit offers. But I just decline and get really good offers everyonce in a while. I'm getting like sometimes I do get forty dollar offers
Pay me more, Pay me more! Ive been hearing this all my life at every job I ever been to lol. Remember these gig jobs are just that ..."gig jobs" .Easy to sign up, easy to work, flexible schedule etc. If drivers are making $15 to $20 or more an hour after expenses then what's wrong with that. Rideshare will pay more average as you need a better car and have to be more responsible etc.
A lot of drivers do not want the law to get involved. It's done coming to have a bunch of driver saying no, the law should not get involved. Does sad part is though it's a bunch of driver's rally together to fight for higher pay. I guarantee you. They're gonna let every last one of those drivers go cause. That's what other apps have done. I honestly think we do deserve a lot to force them to pay better. But I wish more drivers would actually fan together to get that pas It sucks that they can easily hire somebody else. That'll keep doing the work.
@@monkeytoung It sucks because they have an endless army of drivers. Other then laws getting passed a shload of people would have to quit driving. Peace and prosperity to you friend.
I wish drivers would realize the power we have in numbers. If all drivers stopped accepting garbage, we start seeing reasonable pay, but unfortunately, too many people approach this like a W2 rather than a business owner.
@@ZachDrivesFast I'm convinced at this point that the only way these issues will be resolved is in a courtroom with a good lawyer. I appreciate your brutally honest videos. Never sell out to door dash like some of these two faced door dash RUclipsrs.

That really angers me when I do a double order and one customer tips significantly more than the other. Especially when the non-tipper has their food delivered first.....
I hear you! Back in the day we used to be able to tell who was tipping more an we could switch the order, but now we can't tell who tipped what amount. SMH.
Yeah, anytime an order is added on in my market. It’s usually about four bucks no matter what and I can’t believe every single order there’s no tip for but couple dollars.
Yeah Zach these doubles are making less sense by the day absolutely if I was a customer I'd be getting pissed off myself I mean ridiculous and you never know what kind of s*** you could run into at that second restaurant and then you end up having to unassign just not to piss off that one customer that you've already picked up for getting crazy stupid 6 years full-time doing this 36000 deliveries later I am on the brink of hanging it up if it wasn't for my catering orders that I consistently get which even those have been more difficult but I'm still hanging in there but I'm definitely thinking about just doing this absolutely part-time once the busy season comes to an end
36K!! That's commitment! I know how frustrated I can get with it after a couple weeks of driving everyday. Props to you for sticking with it so long and surviving.
I need to stop doing stack orders. Did one yesterday and the person that tipped me $10.00 was delivered last. I always seem to run into trouble doing stack orders. Not worth it.
I dont mind sharing especially since I'm almost done with this driving for low pay crap. I multi-app with Doordash and Ubereats only. I have a 21% AR on doordash. HI Zac. i know what you mean. I had a $3.75 Double order from DD for 3.5 miles. I could not believe my eyes, I screenshoted it as it is the worst order I have ever gotten. Of course I declined it. I will not take a double for under $11 in my market. Then it has to be short miles, I wonder if someone accepted that $3.75 double order.
Driver's are assembly line workers. Without delivery drivers, they would all be out of business! Best thing to do, always watch for number 1 and always have a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th stream of income just in case one of them do you dirty.. Don't rely only on one app alone.
The company's behavior, as you lay it out, made me think about a comment my husband made about new people to the USA are willing to take low and rediculous orders when everyone else knows already what kind of offer that really is. Two incredibly different understandings about the pay because one side has been dealing with it/been in the frey with it, while newcomers to the country have no historical context to what the real value of the work is and what they are making is, perhaps, more than what they got where they came from. It's the farmer VS. the farm help all over again. Lots of Americans followed the crops and reared children along the way. As they asked for more stable pay and living conditions and were told no, other labor filled the fields because they were more willing to live that life. Those who labored before being replaced by newcomers already had the conversations about pay and work conditions, and the newcomer actually lowered conditions to the point the prior labor force left near completely from the fields, leaving only the new workforce to pluck the food for sale. Maybe we are seeing a bit of that. My market certainly seems to be moving that way.
I see many born in America drivers willing to take everything, or at least well over 90 percent. Some take 100 percent. I tried to explain, but it fell on deaf ears.
@@joannaquanttumphysics Yeah, I am not sure about my husband's idea since I know citizenship is not entirely a defining characteristic of which orders are accepted, but then we don't have any stats on drivers and their acceptance/decline rates to see for ourselves if there is a trend. I can say from experience that my area has an increase in nonenglish speaking drivers doing shopping trips when they cannot read English so store staff get pulled into helping them fill the order. Everyone is doing there best to earn money, everybody is entitled to earn money, everyone needs help sometimes along the way. My concern is by the time this gig workforce turns over who is going to make up that new workforce?
Stacks doubles triples and quadruples are how to make money in my market I had a triple where 2 non tippers post tipped so the trend in my market is that they're sick of bad drivers.
I had a double and they wouldn’t disclose the tips. So I dropped the second order since it didn’t have alcohol. My hunch was right the second order was farther away and there want a tip. They were both orders from party city.
When things are moving fast.. Yes, about 2 an hour. Spark tries to keep it more to 1 an hour. Depends on distance and who is loading and what the app kicks out from where...
It went from 25 per hour average, to 15 on a good day, doubles are a rarity. I had to go to normal work, Im willing to bet it's all the states passing legislation for mandatory minimums and insurances, and am guessing to pay for it, they skim the top on everyone else. They need to notify the customer especially the ones paying tips when they give us double orders but that would require an actual worthwhile update on the app.
But, but you HAVE to take those orders cuz, cuz...cuz, AR! AR! AR! Access to priority support! Access to more and more and more "High Paying Orders!" Access to priority scheduling! L O F L.
so far in my market base pay is 2.25 but if you accept a stacked order the base pay is 2.00 per order. and if you get an add on the add on will be 2.00 and the original order 2.25. thats what i do, during the weekend if its not like 14 or 15 dollars for a stack. now if i get an add on it has to be 6.25 ot more depending the miles.
OMG you are sooo correct... I was sitting at the front door of Chipotle and had a double. DD sent me 4 miles to pick up a smoothie then back tracked me to the Chipotle I was originally at to pick up the meal... Just dumb... I got a pick up that paid 7.50 (it showed that amount) and when I delivered I got paid 6.00... DD is robbing the drivers... So on to another app, Im not wearing out my tires and time for free..

LOVE the middle finger "1 dollar" ... MY MAN!!!!
Now you get to make your next video on the new 90% required completion rate. Not sure how they get away with this shit since we're not employees.
I don't have a 90 %
@@lengod2232my CR has always been 100%.
Yeah that's just a slap in the face. They swindle every last penny out of drivers, diners and restaurants/merchants. Smh
They robbed me for $2 on a delivery. Customer told me they gave an $8 tip, The offer was for $8.17!! Should've been $10.17!!
DD steals most of our tips
And yet you still keep working for them. Your insane 😂
@danguts2844 it's better if you work 4 16 hour days you easily will make 1000-1250 a week. Then you can have 3 days off to enjoy 😊
So basically, not enough people on Pay by Time to deliver the trash so they will throw it into our orders by sneaking them in through the backdoor like this.
good point
Get ready!
lol not a chance
Lol
Dude, you're not far off! I wouldn't be at all shocked if we saw that.
Zach, I appreciate your thoughts and observations on this industry. Thanks for what you do!
Doordash can kick rocks if my maket goes to $1 base pay.. This is a side gig for me I'm not relying solely on this crap
When I do hourly DD is throwing doubles at me a lot, knowing I can only decline one per hour
It's the lack of transparency and the inability to decline that keeps me away from EBT.
@@ZachDrivesFast I am just trying to get my AR back up
It's getting bad for drivers on DD & UE in regards to base pay, the saving grace for us here in California is the prop 22 payouts we get.
I'm a full time driver.. and have gravitated away from doordash except for dinner ..
It's just not good anymore lol
I run dd , gh, spark, roadie and lyft
Never put all your eggs in one basket
DD tried and tried to get the drivers to dash per hour (a total wtf) but the number of orders coming up with 0 tips DD did not have enough hourly drivers to cover all of those so they had to come up with something new and they are making it harder to determine if there are actual tips or not.

@@williamjoseph98 Sure, I guess. Either way, it's balls anymore.
This really resonates. I have to jump apps so often throughout the day because I can't rely on any one to be consistent.

I've been seeing more doubles assigned instead of being offered both non tippers to
Funny enough never had a customer complain about me multiapping, actually got a comment that they could tell i was picking up another order but I was still twice as fast as any other driver and saluted my ambition
If the double doesn't make sense to me, I decline it. No questions. This is why if you're not using multiple apps, you're a fool.
I gave up 4 months ago. Am now working at Walmart. No gas being used. No wear and tear.
I’m really starting to Hate driving for Door Dash .
Money is in regular pizza delivery. They also have a distance radius. Door dash will send you 15 miles for $10 no thanks
Ive found a way to get in when its grey, just drive to a busy area and re open the dash, itll let you in with in minutes and say ''dash now''.
We need to flood social media and warn newbies who are thinking of driving for them how they seduce you in the beginning - so they are more aware of the game. Because as long as DD has a line of drivers desirous to sign up who don't know any better- current drivers don't have as much leverage.
I wanted to sign up today
After all, we are both on the same side -- corporations will happily screw over both customers and workers to increase their bottom line.
in my area, DD will give me a good paying order on a double order, but i know it means one of them didn't pay much or tip.
Don't get me wrong. There are high paying doubles in my market as well. My main complaint is that they're now bundling as many orders as they can to save money.
@@ZachDrivesFast you're right. They caught me a few times with that move.
Been watching a bunch of DD RUclips lately - gotta compliment you on the content and I don’t comment often, kudos man
I really appreciate the kind words. That means a lot!
I'm with you on the stacked offers. I could go on and on, but you pretty much covered all the bases.
I would like these apps to show the customer what their driver is going to be offered on their order
I'm in a Doordash Facebook group and this woman showed an image that didn't look photoshopped. Her pay per delivery was $12.50 per order. How is that?
People will keep delivering them anyway. They hustle, rely on this, and got goals and bills to pay. Plus the less money y'all have, the more labor they can extract out of y'all. Now go out there and hustle!
I picked up a $6 order. When I delivered it to the customer I overheard him saying he spent $50 on it. Really gets you thinking 🤔
Yes, the fees are definitely high! Back in May I placed an order for 2 subs. It came to something like $50 or $60 before tip.
And btw UE now hides base pay from drivers completely on doubles. You get one number. And one number for the tip. So how about giving Uber the same scrutiny?
UE just started doing this here recently they haven't always done that
Its not really about whether he is scrutinizing one app over the other.
After an offer like that, I can't say as I blame you!
UGG
DD and UE doubles are ridiculous, sometimes way too far apart or going opposite directions, I mean wth? They're trying to lose customers?
4:22 that’s why no matter what, before I confirm a pickup, I ALWAYS put that there’s an issue with the order. Because doordash DOESNT have your back in ANY situation. Uber is better for this, but still not perfect
DD will send you a double order for $6 for 12 miles 😂
Plus they hide the doubles. You have to scroll it up to make sure you're not getting 2 ,4 the price of one
Man i keep getting better and better tips on uber eats i might stop scheduling dashes period at this point
I saw a double order going 2.9 miles for $4.75. Both no tip orders.
Dirty! Those the customers that I hope are still hungry.
They are both bad. It’s sad that Uber makes doordash $2 base pay look generous lol
I don't know, for me, Uber Eats pays pretty pretty d*** I'm good and my market. At least sure I get a lot of s*** shit offers. But I just decline and get really good offers everyonce in a while. I'm getting like sometimes I do get forty dollar offers
Why are you accepting that stuff? in my area Uber eats is better than DoorDash Even if DoorDash is adding three dollars per delivery.
UE was good but when it gets the same volume of drivers as Doordash, who has lower fees and more offers, then it no longer is. UE is not doordash.

No laws in place to give us a fair minimum base pay. Until then were screwed.

It won't be long until Doordash starts taking bids on orders. They will have drivers pay to accept
As soon as this happens I'm taking a stacked order home and waiting for my deactivation 😂
If you wait more than 8 minutes at a restaurant the ratings of the customer won't count btw
7:01 "mind games"🎯💯
I experienced my first double during lunch rush. Then I got two more this evening.
Robbing Peter to pay Paul, and I'm Peter☹️
If you call doordash to find out the pay of each order they will now say they cant, and its against their policy, so dont waste your time.

What a Joke
Yes... I've noticed (stacked)
All I've gotten today 2$ base pay for every run no matter the distance... swear it wasn't like that before...
Lmao my acceptance rate is 8%. I got an email asking if wanted my ar reset so I can get better offers. Weird.
Hey, you might as well! It didn't make a difference for me, but it might for you.
An OBVIOUS SCAM by Gig companies like DoorTrash.
Bahaha...you win the internet tonight!!
Keeping in mind of course that DoorDash considers $1.50 per mile to be a high-paying order
so far in my market base pay is 2.25 but if you accept a stacked order the base pay is 2.00 per order. and if you get an add on the add on will be 2.00 and the original order 2.25. thats what i do, during the weekend if its not like 14 or 15 dollars for a stack. now if i get an add on it has to be 6.25 ot more depending the miles.
In 6 weeks my acceptance went from 90% to 74% I accept 10 in a row it'll go up to 75% but I decline 1 it goes down to 73%
OMG you are sooo correct...
You can change the order in which you pick up the orders
Do you have a screenshot of the pay discrepancy by chance? I've heard of this happening but have yet to get my hands on one.
Time to get a w-2 job, God I hate them.
Hello Zack like your videos great work. Could you and your friend do a video for new spark drivers that educates us a little bit on how to take orders? I'm getting lots of notifications but there's never any orders there I imagine I'm doing something wrong but super annoying and I'm not sure what to do about it. Can I just hit every order and then cancel the ones I don't want? Please help. Thank you so much for all that you do
I'm surprised doordash hasn't started charging their drivers a fee or monthly subscription, to use their app
Its been 250 Around my area it sucks
Ive been getting alot of doubles. 2 orders for 6.50 2 orders for 5.50. Trash
