It’s not that smartphones are boring now, it’s law of diminishing returns. We’ve become used to all the basic features that used to amaze us. An amazing camera, high processing power, smooth UI, great display, etc are all taken for granted so any further improvements will seem small as the basic use of a smartphone has reached its limit.

Only downside you couldn't stream snake games or a lack of multiplayer/ snake battle royales. 😎 I miss those days of shouting at the phone to get my voice across while everybody stared at me like I was some pop icon. 🥰😍🤩 PS: Almost forgot to add the VGA cameras that allowed you to keep 2-3 pics on the device itself. I mean can you believe that! You could even make your own monotone music. But you'd have to choose between music or the pics.
I think computers and gaming consoles are going to die ! With 8Gb of RAM and 512Gb of storage on phones then all the connectivity capabilities we will need only displays and maybe only projection interface maybe phones will be able to project 4k films 👌 Amazing minification ✨

I think these all come with a drawback though, after all that resource, I had never heard of a company that prioritizes the screen and its endurance. The more a screen is being lit up to get that color. There has to be a drawback. Because my phone literally has burns along its bazels.

Getting a new phone is boring now. It is exciting for me to set up a new phone, customize my settings, experiment with the camera. But a week later, and im back to doing exactly what i was doing on my old phone. Browsing youtube, reddit and insta. Scrolling through a news feed that barely updates. No point in upgrading phones for me until my battery starts to not hold a charge

As an artist I’m really exited for this. Because I don’t have the money to buy a tablet I can put that money I would normally put into my smartphone .. well into my smartphone and my tablet. I don’t have to have both, if I end up not liking digital art I still have a use out of it since it can be my day to day phone and it doesn’t look weird, it looks like a normal sized (ratio) phone. Maybe that’s just my very specific case but it’s like it was created specifically for my situation and I’m so so exited to be able to buy one of those and be able to have a phone and a digital art tablet without loosing money, accessibility, use etc Can’t wait.

No offense to him, but some of his points are oversimplified to the point to which it's almost false. Yes graphene is a wonder material that might help the future of battery technology, but to phrase it as this material where you can simply plop it into a battery cell and have it work 5x better is a borderline lie. This dude makes the most interesting tech videos, according to me. It takes a lot of research and work to collect all this info and present in a way he does. Not many RUclipsrs do that, every single video in this channel is thought provoking. I wonder how much brainstorming he has to do before making these videos. Best part is how well these videos are framed and put together, getting so much insight in tech in the most effortless way.
May I suggest Mr. Mobile? He makes very interesting and unique reviews He reviews both old and new phones. Every video is like a mini documentary. He doesn't focus on specsheets, but what the phones can do in real life.

You were saying about that camera you pop off the phone and record a view from the phone camera at same time as the pop off one... That kind of reminds me of something on my old Galaxy S4 phone, that I could record from the back camera and have a small box in the recording of the front camera recording myself separately in the same shot. I love that feature on my phone! But that removable, still functioning camera is a little better in that you can aim it where ever instead of just fixed at one spot on the phone.

Yes graphene is a wonder material that might help the future of battery technology, but to phrase it as this material where you can simply plop it into a battery cell and have it work 5x better is a borderline lie. I get that he's trying to appeal to the wide audience, but for people with a little bit of technical knowledge, it's frustrating as hell

@@Charmayne7 It could be nice, but I don't really see how the cons would be overcome. For instance, how thick/thin would the phone get in order to fit in a decent pair of earbuds or how much of its ergonomy that you would have to give up for the phone to be thin enough, etc.

That kind of reminds me of something on my old Galaxy S4 phone, that I could record from the back camera and have a small box in the recording of the front camera recording myself separately in the same shot. I love that feature on my phone! But that removable, still functioning camera is a little better in that you can aim it where ever instead of just fixed at one spot on the phone.
