I really liked the glasstic samsung used on the note 20s, it looks and feels really nice without being as fragile as glass and is cheaper for the manufacturer and I'd really like to see more of that. I was never a fan of glass backs for the fragility and how easily it got scratched.
I liked the glasstic on the A51...A shame they actually went down a big step for the A71 visually...The colourfull reflections on the A51 were really nice
It still works, just only with really tiny scratches. It doesn't work with big scratches like Arun did. Clever marketing technique, though.

I still use my G flex 2 to this day. Mainly as a remote for my receiver and for the lights in my house. You can actually bend the phone quite a bit, and it will flex back. The healing back works great for smaller scratches from keys for example. Best phone finish has to be the leather on the G4 by the way. Felt super premium at the time and never seen anything like it again.

I would've given the self-healing a little bit more time. I use a self-healing cutting board and it often takes around 24 hours for a deep cut to completely even out. If this phone's surface is anything alike, it just needs a while.

LG had that on one of their phones. I think it was the G flex. I should have listened to the whole video. He said the LG flex in the video. But I remembered that because I am a long-time LG user. For me, it started with my first smart phone, the Optimus G. It was a fabulous phone for the time it was released I think 2013. The back was glass and had a very unique pattern. I didn't even realize until just recently that it also had face unlock. From the Optimus G, I then bought a G pro (5 of them-good deals on E-bay). Then a Korean model of the G-pro 2, which LG never released in the U.S. (complete with the TV antenna). Then I bought a G3, which was the first phone to have a 2K display. Then I got into the V-series. Since LG decided to abandon the cell market, the last LG phones I bought were the velvets. They received a lot of lukewarm reviews, but I think it is a gorgeous phone(especially the illusion sunset). That's my rant. I do use other phones, too, including Samsung, Nokia, Xiaomi, Sony, Hauwei & Motorola edge+.

I had an Axon M and it was my favorite phone ever. Really useful phone for emulators. Never found a case for it tho, and broke the glass. Nobody around my home could replace the screens. That's why I got rid of it.
The G flex are truly beautiful. I had forgotten how obsessed i was with them when they came out.
I had a Moto Z Force (tougher, slightly thicker version of the Z) Very few phones have ever impressed me as much with their design. It was cool because it was thinner than any phone I used before, and expandable. I wound up totally ditching thinness for the massive arrangement of the phone with either a speaker module or a battery pack on the back, depending on what I was doing (both were about an inch thick)
I loved my moto Z, I was hoping he'd mention the moto mods I always thought those were what really made the phone worth it
Don’t know how you do this ^^
Always found thin smartphones to be quite uncomfortable…
Maybe the curve helps though ?

Self Healing Phones: Exist
Everyone: Yes!!
Yters: K N I F E
To start self healing on phones, you have to establish a Bluetooth contact and file transfer of some 8 mb files with an activated Windows, leaving 5-10 m distance between the two devices. Then, Google Maps positioning is needed, and the compass (rotate around with the phone), then you are done. The battery needs an appropriate usually 1A charger with 150 mA input. Better phones need 2A. The battery starts its refresh, and the phone is fixed. New phones and tabs need their battery unplug for few seconds, only once.
I loved my LG G Flex 2 and I am deeply sad they abandoned it. Once you used the curved screen, you can never settle for something inferior.
So anyway, from what I have learned, the reason for the curvature was not that your hands or face are curved, although it did indeed fit in your pocket better than anything else, the main reason was that at the distance where you hold your phone, the eye focuses in a sphere that roughly matches the curvature of the screen and this was just awesome, especially for movies. I miss the curved screen ever since.
You could also flatten the phone (push on the back, sit on it) and it would return back.
This flexibility also allowed it to dissipate virtually any fall. It would just not break or even scratch that much.
I would return to my plastic flexible curved phone 100% of the time over the current meta of brittle glass phones. Moving to glass was a nobrainer for me.
I feel you the flex 2 was the best phone I've ever used hands down. It just felt right the physical and software aspect. LG would definitely be more successful if they just sticked with that line of phones :(
Mine bricked itself (bootloop for the win) after almost 2 years and i was pretty sad. It was such a showpiece and a very good phone to live with. It also had pretty decent bezzles for it's time.. But the V30 is a decent replacement for it.

I hated the phone trend switch to glass and sleek materials. It made the phones too slippery to hold and now required a case just to make the phone easier to hold. Hello there General Kenobi
I don't know how costly it would be, but there should be a phone screen or the entire phone for that matter made from Sapphire! That stuff is nearly indestructible. You can shoot it with a 9mm and it doesn't even leave a scratch. That would be the ultimate phone as far as durability goes.

Please look at my comment above, I have an awnser to your question. Mrwhosetheboss forgot to mention what made this 'thin' phone so special.
