    1. This is infront of a camera.. behind the camera..is worst.
    2. This are selected conscripts, citizen army, serving the nation going thru special training towards the SOF training and most country out there is just regular army going thru this type of training.
    3. The singapore army still have a professional (regular) SOF behind this.
    So please do not compare.

      @jonjonhyper8324 4 года назад +17

      Haha hi, i am a Commando nsf myself that just ord recently. I wouldn't say neither is inferior to each other as we are both very different sets of unit. NDU places more on physical strength while Commando on mental strength. Their only shit is "hell week", ours is the countless outfield missions we have to go despite alr commissioned as a red beret. The longest being 8 days and 7 nights in Thailand. So really, is in comparable. In contrary, both Commandos and NDU respect each other alot! Anyways, yeap just saying 💪

    • @yongtaufooboy
      @yongtaufooboy 7 лет назад +7

      Yes yes, you two are the smart ones while the rest of us are the stupid guys right? Of course! Just remember that while you rest with relative ease at night, that ease was something that many many men and women toiled for. Be it via deterrence from NS or internal security from the Home Team. But don't mind the facts chaps, just think whatever thoughts that make you feel smarter than the rest!

    • @XGenesis84
      @XGenesis84 7 лет назад +1

      primeribeye I'm not calling anybody stupid. It's all about self consciousness. I myself had served the country for many years. :) I just find that the whole system is build upon FEAR. It feeds off the fear in us so that we will abide to rules and regulations. Staying conscious is to constantly question yourself on the things you do and why you are doing it, and overcoming fear. Human minds are very powerful, so everyone is smart. But in present time, our minds have been "blocked" by many factors. One of them is through food and additives. Army is just another contributing factor. Ranks, hierarchy, status, power and money are all self created by men. Why do you think during war the lower ranking people will be send to battlefield and be sacrificed first? Does having a lower rank make them less human and stupid? Look around you and observe what's really happening. We can debate till the end of the world and I do know nothing will change. My message across is just very simple. Stay conscious and be positive. Oh well, having that said, it's back to living this "reality" once again. :)

    • @yongtaufooboy
      @yongtaufooboy 7 лет назад +1

      if you don't think the people who have served their time in national service either a) toiled b) contributed to our internal security, you are deluded.
      Does it leave people changed for the better? In the case of making them soldiers, yes. In the case of making them characters, not always. But change in that manner is just a bonus.
      The fact remains, each and everyone of these people serve, in their small ways, as a means to maintain internal security. Certainly some of the more patriotic stuff comes across as wishy washy, but the point that they are doing this to defend families is very, very real. If you think these people are just for show, I suggest that you show me some very good papers on how Singapore does not need this form of military.
      "Studies of society"? Show me your evidence, and we will see if that phrase is a euphemism for simply thinking thoughts different from the norm to make yourself look clever.
      "to defend? if it is to defend to kill another person, would it still be ethically right?"
      Hahahaha, what a bunch of pacifist nonsense. You think the moment we down tools and face incursion you'll say the same thing? You'll ask whichever party in power why did they down tools in the first place and criticize them. Do you really think the world cares about what's right? Do you think that the world works on "ethics"? Do you really think the fella on the other side will have "ethics" and ignore the prospect of easy incursion?
      If you don't want to serve/don't like the idea of NS, that's fine. I didn't want to either. But i will never ever say that it's just brain-washing. What it is is military indoctrination to at least give me some capacity to defend my loved ones (notice i didn't say anything about the "country" as a whole). If you think that somehow, without conscription, the country is going to defend itself, I suggest you go do some studies of society.

    • @yongtaufooboy
      @yongtaufooboy 7 лет назад +1

      "Does having a lower rank make them less human and stupid?"
      Not a valid point, because no one ever said this. The counter-argument is easy. Let's send a Warrant or a LTC through the barbed wire first. Boom. LTC is dead. Who is going to carry on with the planning? Do we have more men, or more LTCs? It is tempting to say that hierarchy is a bad thing. But that would suggest that you haven't thought anything through. The world doesn't work on ethics and ethics alone. Pragmatism has to lead the way at some point. Just because you don't like the idea of something, doesn't mean it is false.
