Your Kephart style knife looks right at home in that sheath. I like the way you kept the sheath simple and added the drawing. A matching pouch sounds great. Take care.
Fantastic job George. A pouch for your fire starting equipment/supplies would be nice. Oh don't forget a chocolate bar and a few packets of tea or coffee.
Nice one old chap like it very much , lovely piece of leather ... nice logo on the sheath like the blade and the handle too. Overall thumbs up mate. Take care
0h George! I woke up and the ice gnomes were whispering into my ear! They said tell george to scale scraper notch the back of the next knife he puts in your face! Oh you can stiffen the leather with boiled linseed oil. My cheap sheath got hard to stuff my camp kitchen knife. Drops in perfectly now! Those gnomes are quiet lil buddies!
Nice. Never seen a sheath with a leather liner, wood and plastic, but not leather. I could see that sheath on the belt of an eastern long hunter. I like it a lot.
👍 A well done & beautiful Mountain Man / Native American style sheath for a very good knife. I really like your painted design and braiding the leather strings was a good touch.
Bought an old trade looking butcher knife. I restored it a few weeks ago . Found a cool looking sheeth from an Amazon return store for $3! Yesterday. It will be my walk about knife! That’s a cool sheeth…Indian style!!!!
Well done George!! I love your enthusiasm when doing your projects.
Lol..thankyou sir.

You’re welcome!
The sheath complements the knife very well. Have you considered attempting some beadwork? Nice project!
Thankyou. I am thinking on a pouch type bag to match. And doing some sort of bead work on it. Be safe
I have that very knife. Bought it after reading Kephart’s book on Our Southern Highlanders. Well worth a read and free online.
