Wow! what a wonderful Christmas Treat! the caption could be "Seventeen Mansions of Christmas!" looking forward to next season! God protect and provide for you and all you love! cheers !
This is like the trailer for an upcoming feature. I have been fortunate to see many of these homes on your channel, but would love to view these in person some day. You have become the ambassador for Natchez.
What a terrific overview of the highlights! I recognize all of these lovely homes from your individual tours. This is like Disneyland and the Superbowl for us Old House peeps, lol. My restoration here keeps me pretty busy at present (will our roof be done by Christmas Eve?), but I hope one day to visit you and Hope Farm. Happy Holidays, Laine and Kevin, and please rest up before March!!
Question: Do you know if decorative ceiling moldings derive from some necessary structural element or have they always just been decorative? just one of those weird thoughts we all have on occasion. Thanks as always for all the work you do to bring us amazing historical buildings to ponder!
Beautiful beautiful homes!!❤❤❤❤. Best wishes for a successful tour. But being a Yankee I have a question. How did Natchez dodge the war to maintain all that architecture? I know that it was far from Sherman’s March but still I would think there would have to be battles nearby. Even if someone could recommend a written source because I really don’t know. Did these families just repair the damage to their homes? Living near Gettysburg, Antietam ,and South Mountain; those battles are what I know best. You can still see bullet holes in Gettysburg homes. Thanks for your time.

How wonderful your presentation is! Love it all. Can’t decide which home is my favorite.
