Established titles is a scam! You can't buy land from third parties and titles. titles are inherited not bought or given to you buy the queen or king. Plus there's no coat of arms. Where's proof of the tree they planted?
You probably didn't see, they are a scam. You can't change your name, they don't give you "land" and they don't provide any records of actually donating. The company is based out of china.
In the early 1960’s my family visited Natchez and we actually stayed in this beautiful home. Even as a young child this place fascinated me and laid the foundation for my interest in historic homes. Getting to spend the night in this home was quite the adventure!!
Andres Insurriaga, in the ‘60’s Stanton Hall was available for guests to stay overnight but that isn’t the case today. However there are other antebellum homes in Natchez with rooms available. Some friends and I recently stayed at Brandon Hall.
Ditto! I've always loved a beautiful staircase and a "dance hall". I owned one for several years, not quite on this scale but it was great for raising kids in! So much room!
Stanton Hall is a miracle. I have seen Versailles several times, Schonbrunn, the Winter Palace, the Peterhof, the Catherine Palace, Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, the Zwinger, Neuschwanstein, the Alhambra, most of the stately homes in the UK. Stanton Hall holds its own in comparison. Amazing. Magnificent.
I was there in the 1970`s- it was gorgeous. But it looks even better now. They`ve added the carpeting in the parlor and reupholstered the entire Meeks parlor set and added a lot of the original furniture that I didn`t get to see. Out front on the sidewalk was a little old woman and her husband (he was sitting on the wall by the fence). She was selling homemade pralines. It was a really hot day and she looked exhausted and said when she finished selling them, they were going home and sit in the cool shade. I bought all the rest she had and told them to go home and relax. They got a very big kick out of it and I got some of the best pralines I`ve ever had. Several months later, I saw an article about Natchez in one of my mother`s women`s magazines and there was a picture of that same woman out front of Stanton Hall. I got a very big kick out of that!! Man, I love Natchez.
I can’t say how much I love this channel, it’s like family vacation. My dad was a teacher. They would ask each of us what we wanted to see within a geographical area and then the history got mixed in. We all complained, until the tour stared…us kids asked as much as the adults. Thanks for the great memories! More of this needed mixed in at schools.
I LOVE Stanton Hall. I could spend all day just studying the details on the Cornelius & Baker chandeliers. It is so rare to also have all the wall sconces intact. When I was a little kid, my "internet" was a set of World Book encyclopedias. In the "house" section, there was a photo of Stanton Hall, and a line drawing of the Carson mansion in Eureka, California. Those became my idea of what a house should look like. But you have to go to Stanton Hall in person to feel the massive scale (17-foot ceilings).
This was "Justin LaMont's" home played by David Carradine in the incredible 1980s TV series North and South. Patrick Swayze had to rescue "Madeline"-Lesley Anne-Downes from being locked up here by her evil husband. Great show worth seeing!
Thank you so much for showing this beautiful, wonderful building. And thank you for showing us all the other beautiful buildings that you have shown us over the last couple years. It's so lovely to see these places treasured and restored and remembered. Happy Thanksgiving to you both!
recently my husband and I visited Natchez. We had a wonderful stay at the Magnolia Bluff Casino Hotel (not a casino, excellent breakfast included). We toured Longwood on a beautiful fall day. We didn't have time to see Stanton Hall. Next time!
That is a beautiful home for sure and a terrific tour. What I’d really like to see are the less seen places like the attic and that room at the very top. How about the basement and other parts of a house like that you might not get to see very often.
Yes, in fact one of the most spectacular plantation homes you can tour takes you up into the attic where it's been untouched since Union troops came through and scared away the construction workers who dropped everything and fled. You can see the carpentry tools flung to the floor and lumber stacked up. Completely untouched except for the regular dusting they do. The entire town of Natchez is like that. Untouched by the Civil War. Like travelling back in time.
Oh my gosh!!!! This is My house!!!! It is exquisite!!!!!!! That carpet is to die for!!!! And the fireplaces are magnificent!!!! We are in the flooring business and that’s the first thing I see of course!! BRAVO and thanks for letting us see this GEM!!! 👏👏👏👏👏🥰😍
What a great way to start my Thanksgiving day. After I got the bird in the oven. I can relax and watch something of true quality. The beauty and craftsmanship is outstanding.
Please do a video discussing the situation with Beechwood Hall in Tennessee. It's a darned shame what's happening to it. If you aren't familiar, Beechwood Hall is an antebellum home that was once owned by Hank Williams and later by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. The new owners have decided to start the needless process of demolition. There is currently a move to try and halt the demolition.
I saw that. Kid Rock is trying to get everyone`s attention and try to save this house. It`s supposed to be listed as a National Landmark. Why isn`t that protecting it? If it isn`t, then what is the use in having a building listed.
The owner said he has no current plans to demolish the house. He had a part of the house that was built in 1970 demolished because it was not part of the original house and I imagine it was probably in bad shape. He also had the banister removed and stored in a protected place because it was one of the few original things that didn't have water damage. The house is in horrible shape but he is working with the Williamson County Heritage Foundation to see what can be done with it if anything can be. The only thing historically significant about the house is it survived the Civil War. While that's important you also have to consider if it's worth pouring millions of dollars into a home. There's a 2 story log home built in 1850 on the property that Faith and Tim restored and lived in. They did nothing to preserve Beechwood and never lived in it. Hank Williams never lived there. He kept his horses there and hunted there but he never lived there. Beechwood needed restoring even when he owned it. Something he planned on doing but never did. He only owned the property for about a year.
@@anteeker There's no restrictions on a listed property that is not owned by the federal government or doesn't get some sort of federal funding. Having a house listed provides history of the house (date, builder/owner, size, architecture style and design, any later additions etc) and it can help with getting funding for preservation/restoration of the property.
Wow! Such a gorgeous home filled with treasures! I look at those large pier mirrors and wonder what reflections have been in them throughout the years. Oh if walls could talk, I wonder what they’d say.
Absolutely breath taking ❤I luv the carpeting&the dragon 🐉 chandelier in the study as well as the native chandelier such interesting pieces, and the mural on the wall on the 2nd floor 💕
I have the book written many years ago by Harnett Kane, " Natchez on the Mississippi , it tells the story of most these Mansions , my Grandmother had the book and I loved looking at it as a kid but it wasn't hers and I searched online and found it to buy about 10 years ago
When I first saw the thumbnail I thought it was Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. Silly me 😄😄! Beautiful home and I see they kept the same elegant design up stairs too. Different from other homes. Thank you for sharing this with us. ❤
Absolutely gorgeous. The true craftsmanship of that era is breathtaking. Fell in love with the fireplaces n chandeliers. Not enough words to describe the beautiful home. Thank you Lane n Kevin for bringing this to our attention of a historical house n home. I do hope someday I’ll be able to see this place in person. ♥️😊👍🌟
I am a direct descendant of Fredrick Stanton. My middle name is actually Stanton. The family visited here a few years ago and I was in awe of how beautiful it was.
As a late comer to your channel I am impressed with these videos what a great way to record these magnificent mansions for all to see, like me,for hopefully years to come. I doubt I'll ever get that far south again,my legs can barely carry me to the store and back. I have greatly enjoyed these tours, you'll never know how much.😊💕
Absolutely magnificent!! I’ve always wanted an estate such as this! Such outstanding detail and craftsmanship!! Thank you for this awesome tour! Many Blessings!
What a beautiful, well preserved historic home! Thank you Laine and Kevin for sharing this jewel with us on Thanksgiving Day! This place is breathtaking, peaceful and special. Miss Judy is awesome! Happy Thanksgiving!
What a lovely place.. The name got my attention since i worked for ETSU and Dr Stanton was the Pres of the college ( of no relation that I'm aware).. Thx for sharing a beautiful video and gorgeous place...
Toured this home when I was in Natchez in the 90's. It's an impressive home right in the town center. Natchez is unusual because there are antebellum mansions and plantation homes everywhere untouched by the destruction of the civil war. Many towns put up plague quarantine signs to keep Union troops from coming through. I highly recommend you visit, it's like travelling back in time.
The reality is that Natchez is one of the few places in the US where you can explore our entire architectural history as a nation. We have indigenous sites, Spanish/French/British Territorial period architecture, Colonial and Federal architecture with beautiful Neo-Classical examples, Greek Revival, Gothic, Italianate, all the way through mid-mod. For an architecture lover it’s a one of a kind destination!
@@OurRestorationNation I definitely need to get another trip in. Two days wasn't enough to see it all and still have time to soke up the local culture.
In the 1980's I was there with friends and toured this mansion and then we ate in the wonderful little restaurant that was in the mansion. The food was fabulous.
Breathtaking is right. The Garden Club did a wonferful presentation, and I've put Stanton Hall on my must see list. Thank you for bringing such a treasure for us to see.
Thank you so much for videoing this. What a gorgeous home. My favorite picture to take is up front with the Natchez water tower in the background on the right
So beautiful !........always amazing to see the craftsmanship and design qualities that were attained long before all the automation and technical advances that we have today. Just wonderful.
If a person dream house is completed and he or she lives in it one day, after its completion it’s a wonderful thing. He got to live in it nine months bless his heart
Love seeing these and the explanation's. After watching your chanel for a while Im beginning to recognise and understand architectural elements now. Well done as always.
So grateful to you and Kevin for bring all of these wonderful places to us! I have not visited this beautiful area, but my mother has. Must pay a visit to Natchez sometime!
Thank you so much for this presentation. I've saw others on You Tube but never to this degree, the wonderful carvings and details of this gorgeous home. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
What a stunningly beautiful mansion and well preserved. It looks like it has a metal roof. Is that original design or a later alteration? You said Stanton made his money in cotton. Was he a plantation owner or a trader in cotton? Happy Thanksgiving! 😊

Oh lucky you. Wow what a wonderful memory ❤️
Oh I’m so jealous too! (but happy you have a wonderful memory! 😊
How did you get to do that? Was it still a private home?

As a maximalist, Stanton Hall filled me with joy! All the beautiful carvings and embellishments are so beautiful to me. I loved everything about it.🌸

Mrs. Judy’s thick southern accent was a nice touch to this video tour. 😊

I agree 💯 percent ❤❤❤❤
Wow, what a beautiful home. I love all the carvings in the furniture the ceilings, doorways and fireplaces.
The Mirrors are HUGE, it is hard to imagine how heavy they are and how they hung them securely . ( love your shirt , you look great!)
