You ate the Vegemite wrong, you're supposed to have it on toast with butter and only a LITTLE BIT of Vegemite and Milo you generally have cold, with it all on the top :)

This video is so frustrating for Aussies. I can not believe these guys do not know the difference between Marmite and Vegemite. First of all; vegemite is from Australia and Marmite is from England or the UK in general. Secondly; Vegemite is savoury and has a consistency like butter, while Marmite is distinctly sweeter and has a gooier consistence compared to vegemite. and finally; don't you dare talk shit about Tim Tams. Say what you want about vegemite, but Tim Tams are one of the best things in Australia.

@@TinBane Weirdly I just looked up the sugar content of them both as I can't imagine either of them being 'sweet' in flavour, and vegemite apparently has 2.4g of sugars per 100g and marmite 1.2g per 100g. This is pretty weird...

choose margarine or butter spread on the hot toast then apply the Vegemite right after but only a small amount the Vegemite should be melting into the toast mixing with the butter

It is a layer of a chocolate biscuit followed by a layer of chocolate itself and then another chocolate biscuit. All of that is covered in a chocolate layer.... this is one of the (if not the) best biscuits in Australia. You shall not downplay this delicacy.
Plus dunking into tea?? Are you trying to ruin the biscuit? It is dunked in Milo or hot chocolate for ultimate flavour

First she tried the standard ones dry, and was pretty much in line with those guys - maybe a little higher (girls like chocolate more). But when I showed her the TimTam Slam with a hot coffee, I thought she'd just had a "Big O" right there in her jeans. That was...memorable. ;)

Many Australians typically just apply an extremely thin layer of vegemite, though there are a few who are hard asses and manage to spread that stuff thick (AKA my mum). I actually like having my vegemite toast with a bowl of yogurt, cancels out the sourness and compliments it hahaha

I'm Australian, and once on a primary school camp we unofficially commandeered some of the little packets of vegemite from the food hall to eat during the day for unserved meals such as morning and afternoon tea... we ate it without bread or anything as a snack for about 3 days. I do not regret that decision

I loved chocolate coated raisins as a kid. Whenever my family used to go to the indoor shopping centre as a kid we would always pick up a bag of chocolate coated raisins. They no longer have the stall that sells them but it’s a fond memory. I’m not a fan or raisins but I liked chocolate coated ones.

THE PROPER WAY TO EAT VEGEMITE: butter some toast, apply a thin layer of Vegemite (I actually mix mine in a little jar with more butter; about half and half) and bite. Chew and enjoy.

I'm from Australia and I LOVE Vegemite. The thing is to get a little bit if you've never had it before. I have HEAPS of it on my toast, but that's bc I have been eating it ever since I was about 4-5 and I'm turning 11 this year.🤗

Do you even know what L&P is?? It's a lemonade type thing that's only available in NZ, us in Oz can't even get it - but it's totally fab! Would recommend it if you can find the original fizzy drink! And you're supposed to do the Tim Tam Slam by sipping the tea until you can feel the hot liquid on your tongue, and then you quickly /slam/ it down, eating it in all it's gooeyness before it starts disintegrating into the tea. And you can do hot Milo, but the preferred method by most is a glass of old milk with the milo spooned roughly on top and then shaken - given that we don't usually drink hot chocolate because it's too hot, obvs.
