The Xbox Series version came out on the same day as the console's release.

Gears 5 is just stunning! Not only does it have incredible graphics and smooth performance on PC and Last gen consoles, but the HDR optimization is insane. I cant believe this is a 5 year old Unreal Engine 4 game. Gears 6 is the only game Im expecting to push UE5 to the limit. Too bad its no less than 2 years away.
It's just one of those rare games that are optimised so well even on 12 year old consoles.
The thing I love about this channel is you make me think about games I've already forgotten about with fresh eyes. I beat Gears 5 years ago on a 1440p SDR display with a 3080. Today I use a proper 4K HDR OLED display with a 4090 and the expeirence would be SO much better. Now I want to go back and play it again. I'm currently playing through Ori and the Will of the Wisps again for the same reason.
Always appreciate the content and HDR analysis for these older games. Love your continued support for the LG CX, I probably won’t be upgrading until it dies or a deal comes around for a newer OLED that is too good to miss. Thanks again! 🤘🏻
Gears of war has always been ahead of the game with graphics & gameplay. What a game
The game doesn't even have a 30fps mode on Series X does it!? it's always 60fps, and you can have 120fps in multiplayer, as far as I remember the only console that has 30fps was the Xbox One S.
Definitely get the elite series 2…best controller I ever used. U can use that controller for 2 to 3 weeks without charging it,plus the grip,paddles, customizing sensitivity for the joysticks….cant wait for gears 6!!

Great video but one minor caveat, the game released in 2019 ND later received a free 9th gen update. So it's almost 5 years old.
This was a short but very good game, well executed with good HDR. I recommend this game if you haven't played it yet!
Hey I am long time fan of your content. I just have one question about the S95C. According to classy tech even though the peak brightness of the tv is 1300 nits you should set it to 2000 nits using windows hdr calibration app and in games as the tv is still doing some tonemapping when using the static option. By this logic should you not aim to target 2000 nits for the S95C in games instead of 1300 or 1500? I have a lot of confusion about this so please let me know. Thank you!😊

Seems like the peak brightness for the G3 is wrong. Not one source suggests its peak is 1,300, but rather 1,450-1,520 (i.e., similar to the published measurements for the S95C). Perhaps this can be updated in future videos and considered when estimating best settings for the G3. Thank you for the great work!
HDR Brightness in game mode is according to my info around 1300nits
Yes it’s a tad darker in game mode to overcome this change to filmmaker mode and set audio to game optimiser mode, make sure the game dash board comes up when you press the settings button, you will lose HGIG but can tone map to 4000nits and everything is bright and beautiful

This game supports Xbox calibration system. Set 10000 nits, launch the game, and restore default settings in the hdr menu. Then you will see.

Yes I agreed it works fine, set it to say 1000 and default it changes. If set to 4000 in the app restart game and set default goes up to 4000 definitely works fine
Something is wrong with what you saying about the Performance Mode. Its 120fps and 60 in normal mode
As far as I know you just have 120fps in the multilayer mode , not in the campaign.
If you do a new controller, try the scuf instinct pro instead.

Playing FF7 Rebirth in TruMotion (thanks to your earlier video) on my LG CX. In game mode the quality mode was a slide show and the performance mode was the blurriest mess I've dealt with on PS5. Looks way better using TruMotion. Also have sharpness set to 50. Usually makes no difference on PS5 games but definitely does on FF7 for some reason.
Why you say that over here on a gears video and referred to the video that give you the information about the ff7 rebirth setting. Why not post that on the ff7 rebirth video for people who are actually talking about that game dumb pony. And I have ff7 rebirth but it's obvious you are confused.

Hivebusters looked even better however I miss the horror atmosphere of the very first game. 5 story wise is meh IMOH.
Go play Helldivers 2 instead.

If you have an RTX and HDR display, activate the high dynamic range option under "Adjust video image settings" to watch this on a sort of HDR (Until YT process it)
