  • I would like to start by saying thank you to the driver of 2445 for making this possible, so thank you! I've filmed 2445 quite a bit and when I showed the driver the other POV video on my channel and he took interest to it. So I asked if he would want to do the same and said yes so here we are!
In the other POV video, the driver is in a WXLL. (Not just any WXLL... 2432!) In this video, he's driving an ACX. The first thing I noticed when I started reviewing this footage is how much higher this truck is than 2432. Look at that it looks hella tall. I can't imagine how high up the WX64's feel!
Also, 2432 is officially a spare truck now. It was taken off of route 449 and replaced with 2509. The next truck to go is gonna be 2483 (a WXLL) and then 2432. Anyway, not much more to say so thank you for checking out this video and thanks to the driver for capturing this footage, enjoy!

Unfortunately, I'm not a driver... yet! But I appreciate it and you're right. Without garbage truck drivers, cities, and quite frankly the world would not function. I was thinking about that the other day actually how many look at garbage truck drivers and go, "man I'm glad I'm not picking up garbage" when in reality, garbage truck driver are essential. They were driving during the freakin pandemic!

Cool! Would love to see one of these vids in a 520 Durapack Rapid Rail. The way this old dude operates the Autoreach here is ok but he should be out to the left more. Let the arm do the reaching other then that can't go wrong with an Autoreach. Thoes trucks just keep eating and eating. Pretty sure they can eat up to 17 tons of trash/recycling in one go but unfortunately here in California there's load restrictions so legally out here 14-15 tons max. Still crazy to think about how heavy these beasts are!

I'll keep that in mind ;)
The reason why he gets close to the curb and why a lot of other guys do is because it's a HUGE time saver. That and lifting the arm and retracting it at the same time. Damn 15 tons is insane!
