The best time to visit Cartago, Costa Rica, largely depends on your preferences and what you hope to experience during your trip. However, generally speaking, the most favorable time to visit Cartago in terms of weather and climate is during the dry season, which typically spans from December to April.
During this period, you can expect sunny and pleasant weather, making it ideal for outdoor activities and exploration. The lush landscapes are at their greenest, and you'll have a better chance of clear skies for admiring the breathtaking views of the nearby Irazú Volcano.
If you prefer fewer crowds and more budget-friendly options, the shoulder seasons of May to November, which constitute the wet or "green" season, might be appealing. While you may encounter sporadic rain showers during this time, the natural beauty of the region is at its peak, with vibrant foliage and fewer tourists.
Ultimately, the best time to visit Cartago depends on your personal preferences, whether you prioritize sunny weather, lush landscapes, or fewer crowds. Each season offers a unique experience, so you can choose the one that aligns with your travel priorities.

Wow, that abandon building, it looks like it was all barred it up. Don’t let the public inside of it??

Yes that's the ruins of a church which was brought down by an earthquake. I was there on the weekend so perhaps it's not open then, I'll upload a video on the other channel soon and I get a closer look inside 🤙

It's not that the church was destroyed by the earthquake. At the moment this happened, the building was still being built. So it's actually an unfinished building that was just let that way after the quake.

It is very possible that person is a foreigner, I am from Cartago, I mean a local would look for a bathroom, also not a single policeman to correct him
