What a great montage of classic Schenker instrumentals. I remember this tour and Michael doing this. He's one of the cleanest live players ever. He's been my personal favorite since I saw UFO open for Foghat in1975 in Chicago. Seen Michael close to 75 times since then and I've never ever once been let down. Schenk RULES!!! Thanks for sharing this.
It was the German writer, artist and politician Goethe (1749-1832) who once said: "I've seen some kick ass guitarists in my travels, but Schenks is the shit!".
I just have to say that Schenker is the ultimate guitar player! Yes u may argue Vai Malmsteen Satriani are technically better but MS is a one off! The fast guitar riff on Bijou Pleasurette is unbelievably fantastic. Schenker rules!
His manual dexterity is brilliant, god i wish mine was like that ! I have heard this piece of music from 5:09 onwards before - not done by him though; i get the feeling it was used as the theme for a programme or a film i just cant quite remember what
I never said ANYTHING about MS's ability,He's a monster player,a living guitar legend. Its his tone,Marshall...PUKE.You just need to feel you're correct.I dont own or never have owned a 7 string. And while I like RR and most of the shredders of the last decade or so,Its no doubt all of these guitar players can smoke ANY guitar player of schenkers era.Fred Durst?WTF...ah yeah,ok.
an emo goup down the road were playing this yesterday ..they were crying into their cry babys - & i asked them what kinda music is that - they said "captain emo " ......and so i said - thats a bad joke . they cried again.
people, go and listen to John Norum, the real guitar hero of the euro heavy melodic style. Norum's Shimmering Highs is the absolute masterpiece of the genre. It is a marvel of music and not just a mere technical piece, although it is a virtuoso tour de force, as it needs to be, the technique used in the service of the music Schenker can only envy what Norum has achieved. If you like Schenker, you'll love Norum much more. Norum is the greater, more eminent guitarist by far.
Let me guess, you tune your 7 string down so low that only whales can hear you play. Schenker is a legend and any guitar player worth his weight in salt knows this. Who was first picked to replace Randy Rhoads? Schenker, that's who. Dumb move on his part not to accept since Ozzy couldn't afford him at the time. Go lookup the Fred Durst live solo, maybe that's more your speed.
Herr Schenker...one of the best!!!
one of?????
It's so mindblowing to watch this incredible guitar player play

His manual dexterity is brilliant, god i wish mine was like that !
Schencker...the missing link between 70's and 80's-90's rock guitar. Definitely a main influence, a genius...!
久しぶりにマイケル聴いたけど、やっぱりええな。このtoneがたまらん...

This is Monsters of Rock 1984 in Dortmund, Westfalenhalle in Germany!!
His manual dexterity is brilliant, god i wish mine was like that ! I have heard this piece of music from 5:09 onwards before - not done by him though; i get the feeling it was used as the theme for a programme or a film i just cant quite remember what

この曲弾くの難しいんですよね。
He has something of Mark Knopfler when he looks so concentrated.
If God played guitar his tone would sounds like this.
ファイティングネモ!!

Thats what I thought too when I was 16. but after decades of studying music you will see that schenkers creativty and phrasing is still unmatched
