Steyr M9-A1, L9-A1 are my favorites and eventually I will add the A2s. Took out the white color out of the front sights on both and used clear epoxy and orange model paint to more prominent front sight. Reliable, quality and easy to follow up with shots.
Just bought one. I had the first gen and I regret selling it but my Coonan FAL was the result, so I was super excited to add one back to my collection. I think this will be my new carry gun over my 43x because it just does everything so well. I'm looking forward to shooting it. Thanks for the great review and you earned a sub!
@michaelackerman8009 I do still own the Steyr. I daily carry a 43x or a Colt Mustang XSP when running. The Steyr currently lives in on top of my work bench. I will be mounting it under the bench soon.
Great timing I have been looking at this gun for years, and got one last week. Those sights are going to take some getting used too for me. Great video.
Truthfully I think as far as iron sights go, Steyr is among the best. The front triangular sight is so large you pick it up so quickly that you can’t help getting on target fast!
@@TransformersHoarder I did like the sights for up close, I thought they were fast to acquire. I struggled with accurate shooting past 15-20 yds. Thanks for watching!
I think the camera makes me look better than I am. It does shoot good, especially up close. I just struggled with the sights at 40 yds. Thanks for watching!
I own the M9A2, I just love it. No misfire, no other issues, very reliable, solid as rock...I will buy another one , the L9A2 version, and also keep the M9, would you believe it? Thanksfor the great review.
I like the pistol but wanted to like it more. It’s the sights. They’re just different and I think they prevent me from shooting the pistol better. I believe that if this was the only pistol I owned and shot, I’d get used to it and be a lot more proficient. But as it is, I shoot so many other guns with ‘normal’ sights that I decided to sell the Steyr. Bummer, but heck, maybe I’ll get another one someday and try it again.
I have a M9 A1. The recoil, sights, grip are fine, but the trigger is some what strange. It is smooth when dry file, but heavy, even kind of stuck when fire rounds. Not sure is because the safety or wide trigger.
This gun has zero muzzle flip. It’s amazing

Interesting idea on the front sights. Wonder if there's any night-glow paint you could use for that.
@@soundsnags2001 that’d be even better. I’d do optic, but kinda love the triangle sight and it’s large size is good enough for bad eyes.

Are you still rocking the Steyr? It's quite a bit bigger than a 43x.

I'm a lefty so its nice to know that the slide goes forward on its own if you slam the mag up there.
Sights are a little quirky, but the low bore axis and excellent grip make for a great pistol. Thanks for watching!
Grand Powers do this as well. If you like Steyr check out Grand Power, especially as a lefty.
It does have a somewhat erratic ejection pattern. But I love how flat it shoots.
That low bore axis really helps with recoil
Definitely a flat shooter. Still trying to get used to the sights. Thanks for watching!
You shoot damn good. God I'd like to see the ones you shoot great

That’s some fine shooting

I love the pistol, the sights are just ok. Thanks for watching!
Steyr m9 vs glock 19 ?????

The Steyr A2 series are nice ….. I just wish they were optic cut….. the slide design also makes them unable to be milled for optic …. Bummer!!
I love how low they sit in your hand. Thanks for watching!
How would you compare the M9 A2 with the APX-A1?
I would choose the Steyr. I shoot it better, and think it is better quality. Thanks for watching!
STOP, Jesus
That grip angle is too aggressive and causes wrist pain over time. They should make a grip module with a more 1911’ish grip angle
