theres this 65 year old at my local that seshes a 2-3 ft mini all day for exercise and he's insane. he's doing disasters and insane grab tricks, and he always tries to teach the younger kids, even letting the scooter kids try his deck. dudes a G, that's what i wunna be when i grow up for sure.
Get out there and do it! I've seen many adults learning how to skate at my local. I think it's great that people have the courage to go out and try it.

I am 45. I started skating again after 25 years. People of my age don't skate to look cool. We care less in learning new skateboard tricks. I started skating again since my doc said I need to do more of balancing exercise to ease my vertigo. I remembered that I used to play skateboard when I was young (early 90s) . I never really mastered it but now have second chance to be better. As for my vertigo, skateboarding works like a charm.

It's nearly always attached to a belt or suit directly. It pisses furs off tho as it can break the seams, little kids pull them so it's a common annoyance. The ones referred to are more commonplace in other communities, you would be majorly yelled at in the furry fandom if you wore something like that in public. Anyone who skates with digitigrade legs and/or proper footpaws are talented and I think I would lose my shit if I saw a plush fursuiter on a skateboard. ( I don't own one, they are too expensive. A good partial(feet,head,tail,hands) would cost me at minimum $1000)

Literally my step grandpa is like 67 and he skates on like a half cruiser half trick board and he literally built a quarter pipe in his backyard a few months ago and he thought dropping in on a six foot was easy and he almost broke his collarbone doing it but now he can drop in on five footers
When i was young i had a magnet for a friend and we didn't even skate, he would fall down iron stairs or smash his teeth running up them, crack his skull walking on ice, get pecked on the back of the head by an eagle which are like the rarest creatures where i live. Its truly stunning the trauma some people can attract by merely existing.
yalllll i might be moving to cali soon, like a place near a rlly big skate park which is rad bc my skate park only has a quarter pipe and a small ramp. so i can actually make progress without having to be driven/ride a bus for 2 hours to get to a different city lmao (i live in a small town)

Went to my first skatepark a couple days ago, asked for help with dropping in, one guy helped me out and now I can drop in easily.
After 3 years of street skating I finally learned on to drop in. (I prefer street)
