I'm 45 and love this foundation!
I've worn it for about 5 years. I find it medium coverage, buildable, and blends beautifully with a beauty blender into a 'skin but better' look. I'm definitely not as shiny as you after application, but I do bake/press that setting powder into my oily t zone, then set the rest of my face. Always.
I'm oily, yet dehydrated, and find matte foundations far too drying, and show fine lines. This foundation doesn't get too oily, nor does it dry out my skin either.
Until I find a superior foundation - I'm sticking with this one!

+cminmd0041 Hi. Can you please tell me where it can find this foundation? I live in Canada and all of our Boots stores have closed. Sears is also closing its doors after 58 years. Our economy is terrible. Now, they sell their facial creams in Shoppers Drug Mart but they don't carry any of their other products. I would very much like to try his foundation but don't know where to find it. ps. We used to have an Ulta store too, which is very similar to the Sephora stores, but they too have all closed. Thanks for the review, this has actually become my holy grail foundation for the past few months now. I prime and then lightly powder afterward my 53 year old face, but their wheat color is the most perfect skin match of all the foundations I have ever tried in my life so that definitely put it at top for me.

I'm with you, Kim! I pair this with No 7's Airbrush Away primer (love!) and lightly set with loose powder - then go to work for 8 hours! A little shininess at the end of the day doesn't bother me, I'm more concerned with looking dry and cakey (read "OLD") - I love the skin-like finish of this foundation.
Thanks for the heads up on that primer, Dolores! I've been using Becca's backlight primer forever but will definitely pick up that No 7 primer with my next Ulta purchase.

It covers my rosacea beautifully, I love the finish, it lasts on my dry 43 year old skin, doesn't settle into lines, and I found a color match for the first time in my cool toned life lol

I agree! I am very cool toned and these colors work well for me as well. I do still love the Chanel though. I went on vacation last week and didn't take the No 7 and regretted it all week long. Love it! I never had trouble with it oxidizing did you?
I use this and love it. It looks good about 7 hours on me and the coverage is sheer medium. The shade Calico is the most perfect match for me of any foundation I have ever tried. Not my choice when its over 90 degrees. I have combo skin with an oily nose.

I liked this one Angie, thank you for the review. Another thing to add to the plus side of this product is that it is easy to buy at Walgreens. I live in a retirement / vacation area with about 50,000 and there is a Walgreens here. NO mall, no Pennys, Old Navy, Burlington etc, etc. As for me I will gladly give up coverage and all day wear to have my skin feel natural and not like my face is in a plastic bag. Thanks Again
I love this foundation. I'm 59 with dry skin. I got lucky and warm ivory is a perfect color for me. I sometimes use a primer but usually just apply it over the Australian Gold sunscreen. I do lightly powder using No 7 loose powder. That cuts down the luminosity and really disguises my pores and textured skin. Wear is great for me...but I usually don't need more than 8-10 hours. So happy to finally have my own Holy Grail!
Angie~I can't thank you enough for this video ! You are the one who got me hooked on No7's Stay Perfect foundation. I used to never wear any kind foundation because I always hated the heavy feel on my face. But l always knew l really needed to wear something. This No 7 feels like l'm not wearing anything at all on my face. And l just LOVE that it's not too dewy and not too matte. It's just perfect like it's name says. So thanks so much for your video and research !
I was wondering if this was better for dry skin than oily/combo skin. I felt similarly about TF Born This Way when I tested it (and when I wear it). I love it. It's beautiful! But it doesn't last as long as I need it to. It did look lovely on you Angie! :)

I'm 56, and my skin is normal, not dry or oily. I love this foundation! It does not oxidize on me. I do set it with powder.

Another younger youtuber(Jessica JamBeauty89 LOVES this foundation but when it comes to the younger girls and foundation I don't really go with THEIR recommendation ) I'm happy to see you like it as well. I'm so glad you reviewed this because I've been using it and love it! I normally purchase much more expensive products, so I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. It seems to last all day for me, but maybe I'm not expecting as much perfection after several hours.

Hi Angie, i wanted to let you know that the YSL All Hours is my holy grail, I tried the Chanel and i did not like it at all, I’m 50 and have oily skin, with pores. Chanel settled in my pores and was blotchy. Thanks for testing foundations for us 🙂

Yes, me too! But Angie be warned, the Too Faced seems to run pretty dark and yellow. It seems to look ok after blended, I use Light Beige which is my usual foundation shade, I should have gotten the next lighter shade. I do like the formula, though.

Thank you thank you for reviewing this! I agree about the oxidization. I also found that using their primer, airbrush away pore minimizer helped it stay on longer. I also love their airbrush foundation but it wears off really fast and you would need powder to touch up!
I've been using No. 7 matte foundation in cool ivory for many years. I love it. Its also hypoallergenic & has some sunscreen. Thanks Angie for your review.

I just turned 40, I have combo skin and I love this foundation!!!! I don't have the problem with it breaking up on me. I also love how natural it is and I also wear Cool Vanilla!!! Thumbs up from me for sure!!

I use No7 lift & luminate, light coverage and not a long wearing foundation but very pretty finish. No7 is one of the few brands of foundation that doesn't make my face itch and break me out!
I was suggested to check your channel by a Russian-speaking blogger from Canada - so I did and happy about that! I have about the same skin type as you and on a quest to find that ONE AND ONLY face coverage (BB, CC, tinted moisturizer, liquid or powder foundation - anything! ) and JUST KNOW I would be able to find it with your help! Thank you! Btw, literally a coupe of months ago I found that No 7 display at Walgreens (did not have any idea about the brand), but decided to try their Airbrush Away primer and LOVED IT! The next step - will try their foundation! Thank you again!
I love this foundation! I have oily skin but don't have any problems with it breaking up on my skin and it doesn't oxidize on me either. It always amazes me how some things work so well for one person and not for another. I tried the new Too Faced foundation and it was horrible. Nothing I tried worked but it looked so beautiful on other people. I really want to try your holy grail Chanel foundation but it's not in the budget just yet. Thank you for always being so thorough, it's greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reviewing the No. 7 foundation. I think it looks beautiful on you. I like No. 7 Beautifully Matte in color cool ivory. I use it with No. 7 Airbrush Away primer for all day wear. I have also used No. 7 Airbrush Away foundation in the same color, but do not like it as much as the Beautifully Matte. I always enjoy your Foundation Friday's.
I love your adorable cat!! 🐾🐾 My favorite foundations are Armani Power Fabric & Osmosis foundation. More expensive but worth the money. I'm in my 40's so it's important to have good quality makeup 👍🏼
I still love this foundation. I think I'm more dry than Angie and it wears for a long time on my skin. I would say try it at least but if you are more oily your wear time may be shortened. It really looked beautiful on you Angie! Thanks for the review.

I actually really like the way this looks on my skin. Maybe I just have low expectations about longevity, but it lasts ok on me, certainly doesn't wear off faster than other BB creams or foundations I've tried. It does last through the work day for me, but I always touch up with powder in the middle of the day (this is true for all foundations I've used). This is my go-to if I just want effortless and great-looking skin. Great review, though I think your kitty stole the show.
Great video as usual Angie. I was hoping you'd try out the No 7 Lift and Luminate during the video, as I've been using it for a few weeks now and I really like it! You may have not wanted to because of the Luminate part lol, but I have been lightly powdering my t=zone with it and it's working out great! Thanks for testing the other two though. Thanks Angie! I have been wearing this. I do like a really natural look, require only a short wear time & found it didn't accentuate my pores (ugh) or wrinkles. I'm 57, have pretty decent skin but scarring & redness. I think I'm going to break down & try your Chanel. So glad you had a positive review. I was so afraid you were going to hate it then I doubt myself. ;D
It's one of my favorites! I set it though with the No7 translucent powder compact and I do get a long wear time. I'm in my 40s with oily to combo skin. I also only use a makeup priming spray from Pixi before application.

I use a makeup setting spray so maybe that's why mine lasts more than 4 hours. I use the Hard Candy one in the black container.
Charlotte Embry Please let me know if you use a powder before the setting spray or the setting spray alone. I am getting back into makeup after years without it, I have oily skin and am overwhelmed with all of the new products. Thanks, Charlotte!
Yes I use a finishing powder before I use the makeup setting spray. I have finally found a powder that works great for me and doesn't make me look older than I am. I have been using the MAC mineralized skin finish then spray. If I use my Bye Bye pores or Laura Mercier powders after I spray then I press the freshly sprayed powder in with a beauty sponge. I hope it works for you!

I have supper dry older skin, and I love this foundation , I also love the No7 serum foundation! set with the by by poor powder is great for dry skin if you don't need more than med. coverage.
I bought this foundation after the "makeup girl" at Walgreen's recommended it. I really really like it. It gives a gorgeous look! I wear it quite a bit. I put on one "coat" and let that sit for a couple minutes then applied a little more to the middle of my face. Gorgeous! I got mine with a coupon which brought the price down to around $11. Money well spent.
I tried this foundation and it was just ok. I couldn't really find a shade that looked great on me and you are right about the wear time. It also didn't cover the redness on my cheeks and chin as much as I would like. I ended up returning it.
I was suprised to see this one as I thought it was just common to us here in the UK. I wear this most days not because it is anything super amazing ( it is good) but because the shade Calico is an exact match for my (dry) skin and I find it difficult to get anything else that close in colour. I put powder over it too sometimes.

I did a post about 8 hours ago and here is an update. So I went to target to take a look at this foundation and lo and behold a rep was there from No7. Crazy. I told her my issues and after a little trial and error we decided my skin tone was warm beige. She did 1/2 my face with the stay perfect and the other 1/2 with the illuminating since I have dry skin. She used a sponge and I noticed she sprayed a bit of water on the sponge saying it goes on better a little wet then dry. Maybe you all knew with but I didn't. I decided I liked the Stay perfect (Angie's choice) a lot better. It didn't feel heavy and had medium coverage which I like and for once didn't settle into my wrinkles on my forehead or under and around my eyes. She put a primer underneath but I think I like my primer from the ordinary better. She gave me a sample. So I purchased the foundation to go with my other 6 foundations (sigh) so I'll see if this is the one.

I have been looking for a liquid foundation for a while now, I have combo skin, my t-zone gets oily after a few hours of putting on makeup, no matter if it's a powder or liquid. I have tried a few tricks that work for about three or four hours, that's as long as I can get out of the makeup. Will give this one a goo. Thanks for the review....
Since i like my face to look somewhat natural with makeup on, the No7 Stay Perfect (not matte) is my current favorite and has been for a couple years. The pros far outweigh the cons but I do want to try out some other foundations. I forgit the name but No 7 has a foundation with a dropper that is suppose to give more like an airbrushed effect.

It’s excellent on the price point but trying to color match myself..I had to buy two and mix. Your right Angie it did not set into fine lines but it did oxidize. And I had to touch up with my beauty blender. The humidity here in Hawaii...epic fail for me.
Interestingly enough, this was the foundation I wore today. I usually mix it with my It Cosmetics foundation or cc cream, but today I wore it with my L'oreal miracle blurring primer and had one if my best foundation days that I've had in a long time! I dusted lightly with some mineral powder mostly in my t-zone. Some foundations I've tested get very cakey on me when I do that, especially under my eyes after concealer, but this one did not do that. I put it on at around 7 to 7:30am and wore it to my office job and then to dinner, removing it at around 9pm. I didn't really need to, but I touched up before dinner just around my nose where I've used tissues all day with my sniffles, but overall it did great for me. I love that it's so inexpensive and can be found at Ulta or Target.
For reference, I'm 53 with normal to dry skin with mostly minor lines and wrinkles for my age.

Too funny....sat down to do my makeup this morning and this video played.....as I was applying this foundation. It's actually my holy grail, the color is my exact match and I find it lasts all day and looks great. I have normal skin and I wear Cool Ivory most of the year with adding or switching to Cool Vanilla in the winter and Cool Beige in the summer. I am a NW20 in Mac. Love it!
thehoneycombmom I love this foundation, too! I'm oily, so I have I powder well and blot during the day but it wears well on me. I've been using the Warm Ivory, but I'm a NW 20 in Mac and will try the colors you mentioned. Thanks for commenting on them.

I use the No7 Airbrush Away and it’s the only one I like and it lasts a good 12 hours but I’ve got dry skin and I’m warm ivory and this one does not oxidize. Try it !!

I bought this foundation because of your recommendation and its lovely for this winter. I def use the brush for decent coverage in stead of beauty blender. For the oxidation problem, I will mix the LA Girl White Foundation with this one to see if this is a good solution :D

I'm surprised at the results of the test. I'm only 24 but I have red cheeks and an extremely oily t-zone. This foundation gives me the coverage I need with 2 pumps and concealer under the eyes and on blemishes. I sometimes wear it with primer but I always set my whole face with powder as I do with any foundation. It's been my go to for work because although it does get shiny, it doesn't break up or go cakey (unlike Revlon colourstay which I tested today and found it practically melting off my face). I used up my last bottle of stay perfect and even though I have other foundations I might have to go get another one because nothing else stays on as well. I don't find the beautifully matte foundation very long lasting though, it looks great on my skin but only for a short amount of time.

I use the airbrush away in Calico.....love the color match to my skin (the only one I have found that doesn’t make me look orange (our Sephora doesn’t carry the Chanel, so I haven’t tried it, but would love to). The downfall for me is, as you stated....it doesn’t stay on long and the airbrush away formula is very runny. My Ulta didn’t have the stay perfect in Calico, so I also used Cool Vanilla, but it was not my color. I was really hoping you found a way to make it stay on longer ☹️, cuz I do think it looks great even outside. Thanks for the review 😀.
I have this foundation and love it in my dry mature skin. On me it lasts much longer than my high end foundations!
Same with me... I am in love with this foundation, I am a man 44 yo and this foundation gives me a very natural and medium cover look for sure.... but last for over 8 hours with not retouch For me

Angie, this on its own is slightly too luminous for me, but I've been mixing it with the IT CC & topping with the IT loose powder = perfection!
I was so glad to see you test this foundation. I have it in cool beige, interestingly enough it doesn't look that much different than the cool Ivory. I typically wear the same shade as you. I have felt much the way you did, I have dry skin so I love the way it looks on my skin… But the staying power is just not there. My chin redness shows through w/in 4 hours. However if I mix it with the new peach foundation from Too Faced, it stays almost all day and looks great.
I use the no7 beautifully matte and applied it with bareminerals foundation brush over my loreal magic perfecting base. It turned out really good.

Great review, Angie! I've been looking at these No7 foundations and really interested in trying them. My skin is dry and I don't like the look of makeup..(less is more!) I prefer luminous over matte, so I think I will definitely be trying this! Thank you so much for another wonderful Foundation Friday!

It looks so good outdoors, too bad the wear time is short. I looked at it a few weeks ago, I did not see my shade of Albino. I love their loose powder.
Hi Angie! I really appreciate your videos and all of the hard work you put into making them. I’ve started using sun screen and retin A as a result... along with various makeup suggestions. Could you please make a video about mascara? I have hooded eyes and by the end of the day I have smudging from my mascara. I do use primer on my eyes and face, as well as setting powder. Thanks
Angie I wonder if when you add the extra layer of foundation over sunscreen & primer if that contributed to your mixed result. I'm thinking the primer may be ok but this product is sheer or light coverage & not as build-able as other foundations. I think it looked lovely on you especially in the natural sun which is very flattering to your complexion & gave you a youthful look. Thank you for a great review & have a lovely weekend. :)
