The choice of words comes from a choice of which slice of reality you are focused on. If it is raining, is it, "What bad weather," or, "what a fresh, clean smell the rain brings?" I call it creating my own reality. You cannot lie (BSing yourself is like administering yourself a placebo), but you can see more than one thing that is true, and focus only on that. This is such an amazing thing!

I have something congruent to what you call a board of directors. I have a list of people I call my University Professors. University means seeking the unity in all the diversity of life. University Study Theory is my idea of learning all I can from many disciplines. Every morning, the first thing I do when I get to my desk, is pray. I thank God for my University Professors, and ask Him to bless them all with life, and that more abundantly, and I mention them all by name. You just got added to the list this morning. You are with Robert Kiyosaki, Dan Lok, Simon Sinek, Brian Tracy, and many others.
I love my professors. Welcome to the club!

Jim Rohn was on my list of university professors until I found out he is in heaven already. The 5 people you are around are the people you consider Worth spending a lot of time with. That amounts, linguistically, to giving them a status of Worth-ship. I call this Worship Theory. People misunderstand worship all the time. It is not about stroking God's non-existent ego. Worship is a tool you use to become more like someone. The more time you spend together, the more you start taking on their speech styles and behaviors. This is most clearly seen in teenagers and their odd language quirks. LOL
Vanessa, you are most definitely Worth a significant portion of my time. You are a great teacher, and have made my continuing education time far more valuable! Thank You!

I believe you are talking to 85% of the population who really and I underscore, REALLY (ok that was more of a caps lock, you get the point, back to the point) REALLY need this lesson to help to even exist in this crazy, post covid, whacked out time we are living in. Bless you and your help for the people of the planet.

One of the most important things in this are is...
Having knowledge...in your given subject...(above what everyone else knows)
Those things you mentioned are the exterior principles of power....the interior is having knowledge and knowing when and how to apply it....
When interior and exterior power principles..are a part of you....you have integrity of character....

    Hi Vanessa,
First of all, thanks so much for this both powerful and useful video.
I have started to change my mindset thanks to people like you. I realized if you want to get more positive things in your life you have to stop complaining and wait for that good things to happen suddenly without doing anything.
We have to take action by keeping powerful and positive feelings.
However, I have a question for you.
I know you're not an English teacher but I'm a big fan of your work and I'm an English learner. So here's my question.
How to apply what you said in my target language? How to choose the right power words? How to feel powerful when you have a lack of vocabulary?
You may not answer me but never mind.
What I want to retain are your energy and benevolent attitude.
    Thanks again for that.
    Have a great day.
    Take care!

What a great video (as usual)! Creating a positive feedback loop makes a LOT of sense. I'd like to add to that amazing thought process, for any viewers who are interested:
Human brains have what's called neuroplasticity. When you think certain thoughts, or even do certain things (ex: learning to ride a bike), the "wiring system" in your brain creates specific neural pathways for those thoughts (or actions). The more you think those same thoughts, or do those same things, the stronger those pathways become, therefore it gets easier and easier for you to do them next time.
So, if you are constantly being negative, you're creating strong "negative thinking" pathways which makes it easier for your brain to be negative than positive. On the other hand, if you work on rewiring that negative feedback loop, and start reframing things to be more positive, your brain will break down those negative pathways and will replace them with "positive thinking" pathways instead. In the end, it will be easier for you to be positive than negative.

The answer to your question is founded on the fact that we are created in the image and likeness of God. One way this is so is in the triunity of man - body, spirit, soul. What you choose to do in your soul affects your spirit and body. What you do in your body affects your spirit and soul. You cannot do anything in any area of life without affecting the others.
I call this Flat Tire Theory. The idea comes from the boy asking his grandfather to go somewhere fun, but they can't, because the car has a flat tire. And the boy says, it's only flat on the bottom. The tire only looks flat on the bottom, and it was made flat by one hole in the tire.
The interesting feature is that what is in your soul comes through in your face. And, changes in a person's decisions has been observed to result in noticeable, dramatic changes in physical features. I heard of a man whose eyes had a strange fold that caused the eyelids to be somewhat closed. As soon as he decided to stop fearing the opinions of others, his eyes literally changed in front of the eyes of the person who was giving the Ted Talk (can't remember which one).
I so appreciate the things you teach. I love sharing what I get from your videos with others!

I can, I got it - I can do it have been my driving force for so long that I've got to be where I need to be, but previous to that even when I thought positive about my job - when you have a boss who doesn't think you can handle it, won't give you a chance, so even though I'm being positive about it all when you have someone who in a way undermines you, that chips away at your self worth within the company so I think for you to succeed your boss has to support your can do attitude. I had to find other bosses who would support me and be willing to take the chance because I knew I could do it
