      @@wanderingsofalanandcaz no, I only bought a van last year. I’m still converting it. I made a small trip to Switzerland and France! But I never really done enough homework will try again next year. I’ll be sure to keep watching your videos. I love this way of traveling. I drove through Europe in an autocamper, and it was so nice. I really enjoyed all the freedom it brought us. Seems like a really nice adventure you've been on and what a great video. Your drone shots around 11:20 is so pretty 🤩Nice to watch and have a great day.
    Cheers,

      You’ll love it! Slovenia is way way better than we thought it would be. Just the right mixture of old and new.

  • @zdravkohorvat8522

    There are two ascend routes to the top of Mangart, called Slovenska smer ( Slovenian route ) and Italijanska smer ( Italian route ). You two ascended via Slovenian route and descended via Italian route. Slovenian route is a bit harder, than the Italian route. There's also a Via Ferrata called Via Italiana, which isn't a direct route to the top. It starts at Bivacco Nogara, some 300 meters down on the Italian side, and ends up on the Mangart saddle, and that's an actual ferrata, wheretho Slovenian and Italian routes are "only" protected ascend routes, not really classified as via ferratas. Either way, I'm very glad you liked it, and you're very welcome to climb some more of our beautiful mountains :)

    • @wanderingsofalanandcaz
      @wanderingsofalanandcaz  Год назад +1

      That’s right. We were the wrong side for the Italian. We CE down the normal route 👍
      Have you done the Slovenian or the Italian route?

    • @wanderingsofalanandcaz
      @wanderingsofalanandcaz  Год назад +1

      We’ll look out for that Via Italiana next time. Sounds good.

      @@wanderingsofalanandcaz it starts down below that lookout point you two were standing on the edge at 6:05 and exits just a tad bit higher from the point where you fixed your via ferrata gear :). It is very exposed though, and literally passes over the wall which can be seen left from Caz at the same time stamp ...

    • @zdravkohorvat8522
      @zdravkohorvat8522 Год назад +1

      @@wanderingsofalanandcaz done all three of them quite a few times tbh :) ... I only wanted to point it out to you, as you were referring to Slovenian and to Italian route as via ferratas, which they aren't that, technically. Don't want to nitpick on it too much though, and I want to congratulate to both of you on scalling Mangart ... it's quite an achievement 🙏.
      And one more thing, I want to give you a 👍for the proper gear, while scalling the mountain. Sadly many tourists are oblivious to the requirements of safe climbing and our mountain and rescue service is having quite a step incline in the number of interventions because of that, quite a few even ending tragically unfortunatelly
