I can’t believe this is running on Quest 3. This is going to be amazing. Batman and now this not to mention Behemoth and Aliens. This is the best time to be a Quest gamer.
@@bluedrumsound maybe.. but it’s time for an upgrade or else games won’t evolve. It’s for the betterment of growth for standalone VR. Also Batman crashes constantly on Quest 2 due to the very limited CPU. Not the most ideal way to play it.
This game isn’t even optimized for the Quest 3; it’s basically just a Quest 2 experience (If it didnt was manually modify). But if you’re on the Quest 3, at least you can crank the resolution up to 2x-that’s how much more powerful the Quest 3 is compared to the old geezer!
I have both a Quest 3 and PSVR2 and can’t decided which one to get it for. I just love how I can play the Quest 3 anywhere in my house without being tethered to my PS5. The graphics look pretty damn good on the Quest 3 and difference doesn’t look to be a crazy difference between PSVR and Quest 3. What are your thoughts?
If this game had even basic dynamic lighting, I’d be blown away. But at least the static lighting makes it playable enough for a story-driven experience. Dynamic lighting would add so much atmosphere, but for now, the static setup keeps the visuals from feeling too flat. Luckily, as a Quest 3 user, I can at least bump up the resolution to 2x, which helps bring out more detail.
environments and characers look top-notch. The underground setting really helped Quest here... I'm more into high fantasy games, but this has enough realism as well as some of that. I need to check it eventually... congrats, Vertigo Games. this is no doubt their best game so far...
These are some straight up After the Fall graphics which normally might be acceptable were it not for the fact that this studio also created Arizona Sunshine II and Arizona Sunshine Remake and have demonstrated that they are capable of doing much better. This is a $40-$50 game that was supposed to raise the bar for standalone headset gaming and yet just settled for okay. If they (through some sort of sale) drop the price to $25 or less, I may buy it but, what I'm looking at right now is in no way a $39.99 AAA game.
It really depends on how much buzz each game gets -Metro Awakening is the big fish here. This game’s gonna be all over RUclips, with creators hyping it like it’s the second coming of VR. You just know there’ll be that one RUclipsr who screams every time a pixel moves, and another who’ll 'test' the game by seeing if they can throw every object in sight at NPCs?!
Looks amazing! 🙌🏼🔥 I’m a little disappointed because I pre-ordered this and it was supposed to be 48 hour early access but they didn’t bother saying that it’s only for PSVR2 and Steam VR. I’m going to be anxious for 2 more days waiting! 😂
@@ericsmith5498 I bought it Preorder thinking I could play it today because it said 48 hour early access. Now it says that’s for PSVR2 and Steam VR only. 😢
It's not super scary like Resident Evil or Dead Space mate Is more like Half Life, it has some scary parts, but is mostly an action FPS Also reminds a little bit of Wolfenstein because certain parts you will have more success going stealth (I beat the flatscreen games, this one feels more like METRO 2033 and LAST LIGHT)

The Quest 3 is finally showing what it's capable of, and it's incredible!
Honestly i think Quest 2 can still handle this like it did with batman , just struggle a little bit

@@ericsmith5498 yes, it's still worth upgrading not only in performance but also the other hardware and software support in the long term.

Dynamic lighting on a mobile VR chip? Are you crazy? Static lighting looks better and cost a fraction of the processing since it's calculated offline

Yes, they kept their promise, and this first Metro in VR is a great success!
Heard people were displeased with the graphics, but this looks good enough for me!
People are never satisfied with anything...
I love the flat games.... unfortunately i don't know if i can handle the horror in vr. It looks great though
And you haven't seen anything yet! I didn’t think it was so horror-oriented! And yes, this game is terrifying!!
@MetaQuestCentral oofff... I'm debating on giving it a try. I could always return it 😅 i wish vr horror games didn't bother me so much

This looks better than Arizona sunshine remake on quest tho?
Oooooooow shit. I want to play this game. Batman. This. Aliens will have a hard time I guess...

@ thanks for the quick reply!
I’m going for the standard edition.

Is it available now for the pre orders
It is available for pre-order now at a discount before launch day on the Meta store at least.

How scary would you say it is? I cant wait but at the same time I dont know if I can handle it😭
Always a dark atmosphere, enemies lurking around, limited ammo... The perfect combo to keep you stressed out! 😂
